Fun and light. This history of video games covers the big leaps and standout games, but lacks detail. There are many other more in depth books on the subject, but if you‘re just casually interested or just want a breezy read, than this one is just fine.

74/150 Whether you're a hard core gamer, a casual on-the-phone gamer, or even a non-gamer (never met anyone who doesn't play a game of some sort), this lively, informative history of the video game (up to 2016) is a fun read. The author is obviously knowledgeable on the topic, and presents it in a energetic and playful manner. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
