1- my grandma. She was a hard woman to get along with or be her child, but man she moved heaven and earth for her grandkids.
2- son and hubs, puppies
#two4tuesday @TheSpineView
1- no, we‘re trying to clean up our habits and lose some weight.
2- dragons, Westeros, incest 😂
Been up in MI since mid day Friday which means no internet. Home now and did a lot of reading of the tagged book. Thanks to @Kshakal for this #cbbc box! Are the sponges for the dishes or my body? 😂 I‘m slow on these things 🤣 #coffeebeanbookclub @Mommamanzi
1 - chicken bacon beer cheese soup with bread fresh from the oven. (If you don‘t know where I live you get three guesses but only need one 😂)
2- done
#two4tuesday @TheSpineView
Pic of my bag at the post office 😂 mailed @Captivatedbybooks your #cbbc and @wanderinglynn I mailed my #hhs
I‘m not a knitter so there were far too many intricate knitting details for me. But this cast of characters was awesome and made you root for them. There was a team approach vs do it alone sleuth that I loved. I had the killer at one of two people, so not a ton of mystery there. Overall though it was a very good story! I‘ll definitely read more.
@Princess-Kingofkings thanks for the #ffs #fallingforfallswap ! I love the book sleeve. Sorry I forgot to open yesterday!
We‘re back baby! Finishing up #readingwesteros over lunch. We have an office 5k later this afternoon so I get a rare lunch off to read!
Stumbled across this and was intrigued about her story. It‘s a bit of an odd book. Parts of it read very election season specific. However the behind the scenes peek into Washington is somehow more appalling than I‘d expect and my bar is pretty low. Overall, a compelling and fast read. Somewhere between a pick and a so/so. 3.75 stars
Better late than never? lol. Struggling with adjusting to munchkin‘s new school schedule.
1. Probably my great grandmother‘s rosary and prayer book, or maybe one of my Oz copies.

This was much better, still a fair amount of skimming. Books 1 and 2 could have been cut down to one book with better editing. I was pulled in by the sci fi idea of cloning which actually played little role. While book 3 (even though it‘s from 04) has some scary parallels to the way we live /permit today, at the end of the day it‘s still rapture fiction. Middling rapture fiction at best. FYI if you‘re Catholic there‘s a few eyebrow raises. 🤦♀️
I‘m beginning to think all these reviewers are drunk. This was better than the first but not great. A lot of superfluous detail which equated to a lot of skimming. The author‘s note says Christian‘s should read the whole series before judging. That‘s because this book borders on heretical 😂 so weird.
This read as a political thriller, not at all what I expected. Im intrigued enough by the concept (and having book 3 free) that I‘ll read on. Every single Amazon review is glowing and says how everything comes together in book 3 is worth the wait 🤷♀️ maybe then I‘ll wish I hadn‘t scanned so many parts 😂
Not as bad as my last free read but not good. Book one reads as a novella and ends abruptly. Book two starts with other characters. Nobody has time for that. 😂
Had some scary chest pains over the last few days but drs say im@fine 🤷♀️ going to try to slow life down a bit this week and take better care of myself. Currently just feel like im about to get the flu or something.
Just because you can doesn‘t mean you should. This was terrible. Sentence structure, editing, lack of character development, all of it was bad.
#readingbracket2024 @CSeydel continuing with my very sophisticated bracket 😂
#cbbc #coffeebeanbookclub from @Kshakal thanks lady! @Captivatedbybooks I‘ll mail yours Monday with a little Canadian extra :)
While I didn‘t see the reveal coming, this just fell a bit flat for me. For being Salem the town featured little. The romance felt forced and I just didn‘t find myself rooting for any of the characters. 3/5
🎃❤️
Got up to Canada for our 10 day vacation yesterday. Scored from the bait shop LFL. Who leaves books 1 and 3 but takes 2?! Amateurs.

So many thoughts. I love Westeros which is why it gets a so/so instead of a pan. My gosh did GRRM lose his way with this one. That‘s why we don‘t have a new book- he‘s mucked everything up and doesn‘t know how to fix it 😂 Not to mention parts of this just felt self indulgent vs actually moving the plot. Oy vey. I have to reconcile that neither he nor Rothfuss will ever finish :/ #ReadingWesteros
#tlt #threelistthursday this was like a warm hug. My mom and grandma watched so many musicals with us. It‘s hard to pick three bc this list unlocked a lot of core memories.
1- I‘ve had the time of my life- my favorite movie of all time
2- come what may- another fave movie and I walked down the aisle to this song
3- anything from sound of music bc of my grandma
1- dry red wine or cold brew Jameson through I rarely drink.

Listened to this for obvious reasons, and bc I didn‘t have to pay for it. I‘ve seen one Litten who lives in the same area say this was pretty spot on. Politics aside, I found the first half of the story pre-college very engaging. Having experienced some similar childhood issues I felt seen, which makes any story worthwhile. I whole heartedly understand how grandparents can save you, even while being crazy and imperfect themselves. 👇
It‘s such a pretty book but I‘m just so bored 😂
