Heated Rivalry | Rachel Reid

There are not many viral things I cave to. In fact if it gets popular it is usually an automatic turn off for me and it will take me years to pick up the media (if I do at all) but I have been completely swept away by these men 😍
Starting the audio so maybe I will not watch the show a 3rd time 😂

Weirdly my library had #2 in the series but #1 is a many months wait

BkClubCare OMG! 🏒 I only saw one lil reference to this and then someone posted Roxane Guy's review and so... guess what I did? Checked my Libby to see if available. The ebook has holds for 22 weeks BUT! The audio was available!!! 😆 so, I will be listening to this in between my Edith Wharton bio. now
ChaoticMissAdventures @BkClubCare yes!!! We can discuss!! Did you watch the show? I am so excited to compare, but am willing to talk either or. now
ncsufoxes Hoopla had them to borrow as ebooks now

Stolen in Death | J. D. Robb

This is #62 in “In Death“ series, and I have read them all and still thoroughly enjoy them, this being no exception. I always recommend starting at #1, “Naked in Death“. Although the books are set in the 2060's, they are not sci fi, but great police procedurals with some romance. In this outing Eve must solve the murder and at the same time protect Roarke's early life as a thief from becoming public. Thanks to Edelweiss+ for the ARC. 4.5/5 stars!

BookishMarginalia I love Eve, Roarke, Peabody, and the rest of the gang! 5d

December 2025 Book #1

I have different editions and I am only in book 3🤦🏽‍♀️Those of you ,who have read my reaction to this series, know that I see a little strange that relationship between Eve Dallas and Roarke, I think he, in some way, try to control Eve, and she, is in someway, is vulnerable, which means for me, that there is a control there,. Anyway, thats my perception as a reader. Most people love Roarke. But I enjoy this book. ⬇️

Gissy (Cont) It seems Dallas is going to take a big step in her relationship with Roarke but then occurred this brutal murder and she prioritized her job. The story has funny scenes and dramatic ones like those with Eve and her traumatic past experience😢Even when it was interesting , I noticed some procedures unrealistic, not accurate due to conflict of interest in her participation. Did I say unrealistic? 🤔Are we seeing something like⬇ (edited) 1w
Gissy (Cont.) that, now, in some “poltical world”?🤔Never mind, back to the story. Based on some legal aspects related with my past work, it could be expected not see that involvement due to conflict of interest, there…it sounds better. Well, it has a good ending because you want to know what is going to happen in that relationship…tan..tan..tan..tan…3.5/3.8⭐️ 1w

November 2025 Book #1

There is a movie adaptation of this book, it is not bad but I highly recommend to read the book first. This is a slow pace character driven story. The book August character, is so different of the the movie one, the actor is good but not same. In the book you will understand better that great twist at the end😱Maybe there was a sensation that the story was dragged out after the half part but then…the twist⬇️

Gissy (Cont.) starts to reveal the truth behind the murders…tan..tan..tan..tan…But the movie is so good in presenting that dark, mysterious, gothic atmosphere. I enjoyed it as you can see…I love character driven novels…😍4/4.5⭐️and I like that edition cover, giving a vintage look, stained with blood😳 1w

October Book #1

Iris hides that she is a witch. When she is frustrated, she writes curses not intended to happen, she destroyed them at the end. But one day writes a curse for Pike after he made a comment. A bird took the paper where she wrote the curse. Now she and Pike are working together to find the bird because if it dies, the curse could destroy Pike and the region🙄It was so boring 🥱 2.5/3⭐️
