#Read2025 #SeriesLove2025 I‘ve read reviews of Harlan Coben books on Litsy and they‘ve been pretty enthusiastic. So I gave this book a listen and was not disappointed. It was written and takes place in the 1990s, so car phones with cords, pay phones, no cell phones. I got a little early Spenser vibe, mostly because Myron has a running internal dialogue and has a quirky sense of humor. Myron gets beaten up more than Spenser and Win has (cont)⬇️

#Read2025 #SeriesLove2025 The characters in this book are young adults but I don‘t know if I consider this book YA. It‘s an excellent book and I don‘t usually post trigger warnings but TW: murder, torture. I still recommend the book but let the reader beware.

This is a soft pick for me. I liked it much more than book 1 but not as much as book 2. An expensive necklace goes missing during a closed magazine photoshoot and there‘s no shortage of suspects.

#serieslove2025 Ooooh man did I love this new one! Such a great series and this second book did not disappoint! Will easily be one of my favs of the year! All of our heroes are still working together (even though they all feel betrayed) to overthrow the rulers and prevent magical relics from getting into the wrong hands. Lots of twists and turns and battles and quite the ending. Can‘t wait for the next one! I loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm enjoying that the character, Weber is more weaved into this second book...he is the police detective that Riley is consulting for.

08/100 Imagine Star Trek filtered through Douglas Adams, with a splash of Gilbert & Sullivan, an a huge dollop of the misunderstanding tropes from Three's Company. That's what this book was, the worst kind of slapstick silliness, it even has a pie fight between the Federation and the Klingons!! Amazing that this tripe comes from an author as good as John M. Ford. 2 ⭐⭐
