Is it really so difficult to look up the pronunciation of a word/name, dear #audiobook narrator?

It's not "Chai-Chester"!

I'm not tagging the book, because I'm actually enjoying it. This mispronunciation though was like nails on a chalkboard.

1) Gained clarity around my goals and priorities for teaching and volunteer work.
2) Made progress recognizing my unhelpful/maladaptive behavior patterns and taking responsibility for addressing them.
3) Narrated my first full audiobook.

2025 has been an uncomfortable learning year, and I suspect 2026 will be similarly challenging, but thank you, @Eggs , for the reminder to celebrate the positives. #majicmonday

I hung out with my Aunt today (the fun, crafty one!) and we did iron transfer shirts. Can you guess my theme? 🤓 Monday‘s are so fun when you don‘t have to go to work 😂

Got my new chair in! 🤩 Just need to arrange to fit my space now. Besides a few bags it‘s cleaned out. 🥰💛

The story‘s strength lies in its warm seasonal atmosphere and easy pacing. The romance develops quickly, as expected in a short format, but Baxter manages to give the characters enough personality to keep their relationship engaging. Because it‘s a short story, the plot and emotional depth are necessarily limited, however it succeeds at what it aims to do: provide a sweet romantic holiday escape that can be enjoyed in one sitting 🌟✨🌟✨

Now to settle in and enjoy some tea and a book (and maybe a cat or two) while I try to fight off the winter cold I've managed to come down with this week. Fingers crossed that with that prescription (cats, tea, books, rest), I'll be 100% (or close to it) before the big holiday hustle begins!

The best part about moving... setting up bookshelves anew 😌

Every time I go to a bookstore and pickup a book with a map the looks even slightly good this happens…. But also books without maps okay okay it‘s any book I pick up all the books it‘s never ending 📚📚📚

I've mined my "autobiography" somewhat but it started out as a thought of what might have happened had Nureyev been obliged to return to his home town instead of going on the tour to Paris.

Cleaned under and on top of the desk today. One more day of this semester and maybe one more day of cleaning should do the main clean up of my library and then the glow up. 🥹

I was a little surprised that I only missed one question. I don't think of myself as a huge Home Alone fan, but I guess I saw it during my formative years so it stuck with me. Also I'm pretty sure I saw it about a dozen times, so that probably plays into it.

TODAY‘S PROMPT: WREATH

Whilst reading this wonderful series I have noticed that as the series goes on it gets less reliant on the 'spicy' elements and more on the romance of the couples. I really like this as I don't mind a bit of 'spice' but I think the first one was slightly ruined by it as it sometimes felt forced as if the publishers were putting it in for effect rather than to make it move the story along. What does everyone else think? Do you agree?

Oh man… when I tell you life happened my library became the storage room. I have two days left of the school year so this library is getting a glow up so I can enjoy it for the break! 🥰
