so-soThis is Bigfoot‘s guide for surviving the holidays. It includes stories on how he and his friends handled various seasonal incidents. He also gives advice on topics that include handling stress, hosting, and gift-giving. It was cute but quickly grew stale. I think the format of having to stick to a how-to guide hindered the fun and creativity. I think a holiday-themed story collection about Bigfoot and his forest friends would be more fun.
I had trouble settling down to read, but this is on my #BookSpinBingo list and it was convenient so I decided to give it a try, and read 38% more or less in one go. Hurrah for finding something that could tickle my brainstem.
I'm definitely curious what's going on here, which side of the whole thing is lying/perhaps killed or conspired to kill Christabel. Curious structure to it, too.
Finally putting up my December #BookSpin / #ReadYourKindle lists and my #BookSpinBingo board. I was struggling to locate seasonal stickers, but I‘m sure I will find some as soon as I post this. 😅 I carried over my unused free spaces for the year. Going to try for a blackout board but I‘ve never done that before 😂
pickThis story of two mothers and their families held me captivated. I felt for Mrs. Fowler, and I came to care for Mrs. Willoughby, too. The last chapter was exactly the ending I needed. I can see myself picking this one again in another year or two. Classic Persephone!

pickWhile still good, the 3rd book in The Lost Queen Series, I didn't find as good as the first two. The Shadowed Land took us on a journey with Angharad, as she continues to develop as a Wisdom Keeper, and Artur, who follows in his father's footsteps. Languoreth and Lailoken still are prominent in the book. This one wasn't as long as the other two, either. I reread the first two books, since it had been a few years since I read them, before I ⬇️
