This does feel a bit middle-booky, all lead-up to a confrontation which won't happen in this volume. Still, it gives a bit more development to the characters and the background of how stuff works, and I still love the art/character designs. Curious how the series turns out.

I haven't read a Linda Howard book in a long time. I enjoyed this book. Howard had good character development. The story line was interesting. Baily Weston is in charge of her stepchildrens trust and they are not happy at all about that. She goes on vacation but ends up in a plane crash. Will her and the pilot be found?

Starting this on audio today…it is set in my city in Central Florida. I‘m unfamiliar with the case (and the podcast), as I moved here in ‘03, so I was intrigued when it came on my radar.

Thanks to the publisher and Libro.fm for an ALC of this book. This was an entertaining and educational adventure. The author really worked hard to bring an enormous amount of history into every single entry! Did you know, for instance, that LSD came from a dude making an artificial chemical from ergot? Or that the Victorians made jewelry out of castor beans that took out children who sucked on it? You‘ll learn about it in this book! #bookspinbingo

Listened to this short story immediately after finishing book 2 today. It covers Millie and Enzo‘s wedding day, and someone begins stalking Millie. So addicted to this series!
