pickBook 2 is a low pick for me. It has a lot of plot, but it had an aimless feeling to it. I did like the new characters though. #BeyondtheYellowBrickRoad

I forgot just how silly this one is! My dislike of General Jinjur & her army & the revolution storyline is mostly outweighed by my love for the Woggle-Bug‘s jokes, the Gump, & the Sawhorse! & I love the reactions to Ozma‘s reveal. & so much new world building!🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
pickI thoroughly enjoyed reading this for #BeyondTheYellowBrickRoad - I dunno about you guys but old Mombi here used to FREAK ME OUT when I was a kid, watching Return To Oz. The story in the movie is quite a bit different, but Mombi is an ever present evil throughout the book. I‘m amazed once again at the creativity of Mr. Baum & can only imagine what kids back then thought of these wonderful books. 5⭐️
pickWhat a cute book! This is my first time continuing the series past the first book. It was fun to revisit the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman, and all the other characters are funny. I loved how the girls with knitting needles were able to conquer the Emerald City! I didn‘t like how beauty is equated with goodness, but the ending made me very happy nonetheless. I wonder if the rest of the wishing pills will be discovered as the series continues.
pickI got behind last month on #BeyondTheYellowBrickRoad so I spent Sunday morning catching up on this classic. I‘m a big fan of Oz in general & I‘ve only read the first book, so I‘m really looking forward to reading the whole series this year. I was thinking how mind blowing this book must have been for children when it came out in 1900. I love the magic of Oz. 5⭐️

pickI've been meaning to buy this set of books and read the rest of the Oz books for years. #BeyondtheYellowBrickRoad was a great excuse! I finished my reread of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz today. I had totally forgotten how much happens after the witch melts! Everything after this will be new to me, but to be honest, this one felt pretty new, too! 😜
