I thought it was sweet. Not what i expected but I have a soft spot for characters like Vi. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I liked how the sunset strip felt like its own character. I hated that ending. This book wasn‘t what I was expecting.
🧡My September/October TBR! Feeling ambitious right now but who knows a week from now 🙄 lol
PICK!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ enjoyed this so so much! It was dark but had humor and charm, it had banter and creepy strange imagery, it had romance and violence and weird creatures, this story flowed very well, no notes, solid and unique fantasy, very excited for the second!! 🖤
There was a very humorous diary entry by a high school girl named Pam in this Beatles book I‘m currently reading, as the book continued we circle back to “Pam” and it‘s revealed it‘s no other then Pamela Des Barres. I immediately jumped online to find her book 🌼 what a great cover right?
Cool find today! Saving this to read in October to freak myself out 👽
"Which is more intricate?" he mused. "The designs of men, trying to reach gods, or that of gods, trying to reach men?" My hammer collided with a chunk of granite. "What is either to the intricacies of women, who reach both?"
cool find for my collection 💛 what a terrible book title though lol
Received this #ARC in the mail for Romina Garbers new novel ❣️ it‘s got a boarding school located in a condemned Victorian manor and an ancient vampire who‘s been hibernating for 3 centuries whose been accidentally awakened by a young girl. Starting this now! I thought Rominas Zodiac series was pretty underrated tbh so I‘m excited for this 🖤
Brilliant. Best twist yet in a strike novel. I figured out what makes Rowling such a great writer, she doesn‘t rush. Her characters are so authentic. The storylines that unfold over the course of the series is so well paced and satisfying. I love Strike and Robin so much, what a great ending. This book made me tear up and laugh. It also made me disgusted and angry. A damn good crime novel.
After my current read I‘m really going to try and make a dent in my Buffy books, just picked up this one today ❤️🔥❣️
My husband found this at work today! 🤎
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Intricate plot, a plethora of characters, side plots, personal lives, all connecting. I couldn‘t guess a damn thang that happened in this novel 😅 what a masterful storyteller. Dense book and the longest in the series so far and it flew by. Really hope Robin catches a break in the next one tho lol
While I‘m interested to start What Kind of Paradise, this is my last #BOTM pick 🥲 I‘ve been with BOTM for 5years now but have recently found it a bit lackluster. I‘m pausing my subscription (possibly canceling) and starting #Aardvark
I can‘t believe I found a copy of this in the wild
Birthday finds from my favorite used bookstore 🩶 I have been really into vintage biographies lately
Feelings of nervousness and dread throughout this novel, pretty creepy! the ending was emotional to me. When I finished the book I went over it in my head with new eyes and it made me quite sad. Pretty good book I will definitely read more from this author.
Up next 💛 a woman tries to shape a sentient blob into the perfect boyfriend, relatable!
This book has beautiful illustrations! So freaking cute. Got this for my fairy obsessed daughter and am now in love with this author, can‘t wait to get more of her books. Adorable and earthy and magical
Now reading and loving so far 🖤🖤🖤 (will read anything with adam driver as the leading man)
I didn‘t like the twists and turns tbh. By time I got to the 3rd part of the book I was pretty spent. I wanted to relate to the characters more than I did. There was some endearing parts. This book was just OK to me. #botm
I disliked this book in ways I can‘t really articulate. While sprinkled with poignant moments they were almost always followed up by something contradictory. I can‘t really explain it, it‘s like she was jamming in as much as she could and it took away from the depth of it all. I also disliked the MC. I was confused about if I should feel sorry for him or not. I found him unpleasant. ⬇️
Current read 🥂
Solid crime novel, great characters that really grew on me. Would definitely read more if this becomes a series
Ok, so I think this book was a bit of a mess. There was a lot I liked about it, but idk. Too many dream sequences. If you like a maddening amount of dream sequences then this book is for you. I don‘t like the Covid/pandemic aspect of the novel either, even tho the author started writing this book in the height of it, so I get it but it felt like an extra plot line that made the book feel clunky. It would have been better without it tbh.
So cute!! I needed some holiday fluff and this delivered, I loved the mystery and the romance and the characters, it was just too cute. Fun read, fun audiobook 🔍❤️🎄
I‘ve seen this book compared to bret ellis‘s American Psycho and I definitely felt that vibe, especially as her grip on reality started deteriorating and she was no longer able to tell what was real or not. But this book wasn‘t detached and satirical. It was sharp and manipulative and cruel and sad. I couldn‘t stop reading, the MC really got under my skin and I‘m glad to be away from her. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Does this book have crazy body horror inflicted by an ancient gelatinous sea creature? Yes. But it also has a wee old Scottish lady living in a dying seaside village that‘s being turned into a golf course as she fights for her home and reminiscence about her late husband and the life they built together. Muriel can‘t be bought and holds onto her land as threats get increasingly more violent. This book was surprisingly sweet and gave me the feels
Challenging myself to join in on some reading challenges this new year! Pretty excited for these 🩷🩵 #Beyondtheyellowbrickroad & #FoodandLit 🍁✨🧚🏼 @Catsandbooks @Texreader @BookmarkTavern
This book was so charming and dreamy and magical and made me giggle and smile 🩷🩵 great great art and I was so happy to be back in Prague, just back in this world. (Anyone else desperately waiting for Laini to put out a new novel?!)
I love listening to these cheesy little thrillers while I do dishes at night. It was a bit unbelievable and a little predictable but it was entertaining, I‘ll definitely throw on more from this series in the future
Omg LOVED. Holly Black truly is the fae queen! Loved Suren, loved the carnage, I can‘t wait for the next book! There was something I did guess correctly early on but it didn‘t take away from my enjoyment in the story, plus I didn‘t know how it was going to play out. That ice castle was truly nightmare fuel btw 😂 Art by Annalise Jensen 🖤
Early Christmas present from my sister 🎄💖 obsessed with this cover! Perfect condition 🏴☠️
My first time reading this, I was under the impression this was a romance 💀 , I was really surprised how much I disliked everyone, I really hated Heathcliff, he was so UNRELENTING. Great ending, great gothic tale of revenge. I‘m happy about Cathy and Hareton. I want to watch an adaptation now but there are so many, what‘s the best adaptation? Grateful for any suggestions!🖤
I LOVED THIS BOOK. My god was I invested in these two. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rainbow always makes me want to move to Omaha and cook retro dessert‘s and casseroles, she makes me nostalgic for a life I never had. This is a wonderful book about friendship and love. Hope she writes more adult books
DNF I love her screenplays but I couldn‘t get into this, It‘s just to dated
This book was cool and funny and smart. A story filled with nuance and heart, the writing was like a breath of fresh air, the characters were unique and flawed and relatable and I LOVED this book. GREAT READ!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This has been on my TBR forever, had no idea they adapted it to screen! I need to get on it before it comes out, I LOVE Amy Adams❤️
I loved this book, it was beautifully written, a sugary bittersweet coming of age story full of dreamy introspective prose. Just what I needed 🌸💕 #BOTM
I wish I was locked in a tower hibernating while a harsh winter blizzard raged on outside.
