One of my favorite Michelle Branch songs. Perfect for #TuesdayTunes!
Loved this contemporary romance. The story is sweet and hot. The audiobook was excellent.

I just saw the #TuesdayTunes hashtag and I am in love. Books + music? Yes, please! Starting with Andy Gibb's biography this week. A glimpse into the life of artist who died way too young.
“I want to be open about my emotional experiences for my fellow autistics who experience the same.
For the more we can articulate our experiences, the less shame we will feel. The less alone and less broken.”
I love how vulnerable and open the author is about her emotional experiences.
Borrowed this audiobook from cloudLibrary to practice Spanish and/or have something to fall asleep to. It‘s surprisingly calming so far. I like the narrator‘s voice
I just learned Gracie Gold has ADHD. I can't articulate how profound this quote is. Fellow ADHDers, especially those diagnosed later in life, will understand.
I‘m 50% through. Powerfult read. Similar to Jennette McCurdy‘s I‘m Glad My Mom Died. A deeply personal, emotionally raw memoir with potentially triggering topics- depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, sexual assault, eating disorders, dysfunctional family, etc. Take your time reading if you‘re a trauma survivor. I want to finish now but taking a break to process. It‘s a lot.
I requested that this book be added to Litsy. I‘ve requested for books to be added before. They were never added. I hope this one will be. Update - it‘s added!

Really enjoying this! Any other Vera Kelly fans? #CozyMystery #QuozyMystery
This quote is my biggest issue with this book. To say that the average autistic person acts manipulative is untrue. It's also untrue that the average autistic person expects others to assimilate to their needs. It may be true for some people with autism, including this author. But it's not true for all people with autism.
This book is centered on how the author, who has autism herself, experiences grief. It is not reflective of how all autistic people grieve, but the author presents it that way. This is problematic. It‘s written for an allistic audience (people who are not autistic.) Her one-sided perspective may give allistics the idea all autistic people are the same. I recommend this book, but encourage readers to remember her way of grieving is not universal.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I read it in three days & mostly enjoyed it. The main character JP was endearing, although he could have been better developed. The puppy side story was cute, but it took away from the murder plot. The story was unfocused. The surprise twist ending was clever but underwhelming. I think the series has potential. I will read the next book.
My first dark mafia romance read/listen. I enjoyed this audiobook.
"The beginning of every story is rather like a résumé. You flaunt your talents and hope the reader finds what he‘s looking for."

"No matter how we dress them up in fancy new subgenres, no matter how many shocking plot twists we throw into the endings, no matter how complex and philosophical our themes, at the end of the day, stories will always be about people. The trick, of course, is making sure our stories feature people worth reading about."

Goal February 23 - February 29 is to read and/or listen to an audiobook at least 5 minutes a day. Mission accomplished today! I listened to over five minutes of this audiobook.

A great children‘s book about grief. It‘s touching and funny. The animal illustrations are beautiful. I highly recommend it for children and adults alike!
“Lack of acceptance is tragic. Lack of acceptance is a choice.”
1. Didn‘t send Valentines this year.
2. I do believe in soulmates.
3. A perfect Valentine‘s Day = chocolates, flowers, dinner and a movie with my husband. Also I‘d have the day off from work.

1. No specific plans. Definitely will be working and reading. Possibly will be writing.
2. No plans. Will probably read romance and possibly watch a romantic movie.
3. Teacher.

"There is no badge of honor by toughing it out by yourself. Support is a step you take to help yourself heal and cope. It‘s an act of courage, not cowardice." ♥️♥️♥️
Yesterday I learned my grandmother is dying. I started searching cloudLibrary for books on grief. Reading is one way I cope with death. I discovered this book, which wasn't the kind of grief I was looking for. But the title caught my attention. It's a short read so I am giving it a go.
"That was the first time I had experienced genuine harassment and prejudice from people who had no idea about me as a person. Prejudice that was based purely on the fact that I didn‘t look how they wanted me to, and was tied up in homophobia, transphobia and misogyny. A triple threat of public prejudice that I had never experienced before so viscerally."
"The thing is, we know we are worth it. We know that we are valid; we don‘t have to be told these things as if we don‘t know our own power and strength."
“Don‘t forget to relax. Don‘t forget to breathe out. You‘re allowed to breathe. You‘re allowed to exist. You‘re allowed to thrive.”
Arrow Through The Heart: The Biography of Andy Gibb was an excellent read. I love that the author didn‘t sensationalize Andy‘s life. Hild wrote about Andy as a human being, not an untouchable celebrity. I will be thinking about this biography for a while.

He was so talented. What a shame that he didn‘t live longer.
Loving this biography of Andy Gibb. I knew very little about his life before I started listening to this audiobook. I‘m looking forward to learning more!
So looking forward to this book
“I believe people are who they are because of what they‘ve been through, but really because of what they‘ve survived.”
“Being a people-pleaser requires you to submit a part of yourself to the person you aim to please. You give up your own needs and desires, and put the person‘s interests in front of your own. In return you expect a payment in the form of validation and acceptance. This kind of currency is dangerous because the cost is you.”

First book of 2024 is "Snowbound in Her Bosses Bed" by Marcella Bell. I started it in December 2023 and finished it in January 2024. I recommend to anyone who enjoys Hanukkah romance novellas.

Heard about this book from the Ezra Klein show. I‘m only partway through the episode and already fascinated. The author looks at attention as a factor of wellbeing, not productivity. I‘ve excited to finish the episode and read the book!
I listened to a lot of music by the Gibb family this year. I was excited to see this book about Andy. I suspect it will be sad, but I am still looking forward to reading his story.

This book suggested naming our negative self-talk/inner-dialogue. I‘ve decided to name mine Ethel Merman.
