#tlt #threelistThursday

Faves: tagged
Pride and Prejudice
Frankenstein

I‘ve read and really liked David Copperfield. I expect to read Dickens‘ other books this year for #whattheDickens and I‘ll probably read Mansfield Park someday

I recently bought The Three Musketeers so I‘m looking forward to that one

Not a huge fan of the books I read in high school and college: The Scarlet Letter and Candide

ChaoticMissAdventures I really really struggled years ago when I read with 8h
dabbe I was surprised GREAT EX wasn't on the list, but I adored BLEAK HOUSE. I'm still working through NICHOLAS NICKLEBY. 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩵📚🩵 8h

Thank you for the tag @dabbe . 😊 My three are books that I have read with the #HashtagBrigade and probably would not have picked up otherwise! 😃

dabbe Thank goodness for the #hashtagbrigade! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩵📚🩵 8h

Hahahahhahaha anyone else on Team Zero 😆😆There were maybe two that I “read” in high school lit, which meant I actually just used CliffsNotes. I am very much not a classics kind of girl.
#TLT @dabbe @TheSpineView thanks for the tags!

ETA- I‘ve tried to read several like Austen and just really not cared for them.

Ruthiella Have you seen an Austen adaptation and liked it? Just curious, because I think that‘s also a great way to experience an author‘s work, even if it is an adaptation to a different medium. 8h
BethM @Ruthiella I have! I generally have enjoyed several of these as film adaptations. I just can‘t get through the written word. 8h
dabbe We'll be heading to contemporary lit, and that's where you're gonna soar! 😍 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩵📚🩵 8h

I got 7%: 7 out of 100😂 Had it not been for my High School Jr and Sr English Teachers it would have only been 2 😂

Top 3:
The Scarlett Letter
The House of the Seven Gables
The House of Usher

Last 2 HS

#TLT #Threelistthursday @dabbe

Texreader Thank heavens I read a couple in school, too! 9h
MonicaLoves2Read @Texreader 😂😂 I guess we each had teachers that thought we needed to read a couple of them 😂 8h
Texreader I only got 8 books. ☺️ 8h
dabbe @MonicaLoves2Read @Texreader Here's to getting out of the 1700s! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩵📚🩵 8h

dabbe We scored the same! 😍 “House of Usher“ is one of my faves! If you're into campy movies, the 1960 one starring Vincent Price is a hoot, and it's free on YouTube! Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmEbH7mZ8Vk&t=63s

ChaoticMissAdventures @dabbe I am grateful for my college years reading Rousseau and Marquis de Sade for this score. I know they did a new House of Usher recently with the gorgeous Rahul Kohli, I might make reading and watching these my next classics challenge! 8h

I‘m counting Floss because I‘m currently reading it with #hashtagbrigade and it has to count for something! I did start Ivanhoe that‘s on this list but I‘ve barely touched it so I left it off #TLT #Threelistthursday

Ruthiella I think it‘s fair to count The Mill on the Floss. 👍 9h
mcctrish @Ruthiella we are closer to the end than the start 8h

Ouch! Since there‘s only 6, I might as well include them all. I liked or loved these five.
1. Jane Eyre
2. Pride & Prejudice
3. Sense & Sensibility
4. Mansfield Park
5. Wuthering Heights
This one I hated, and it didn‘t help that I had to read it twice!
6. The Scarlet Letter

ChaoticMissAdventures I think the best thing about the scarlet letter is in the movie Easy A when Olive jokes about how she knows everyone in class just watched the movie because they kept talking about Demi Moore in the bath 🤣 9h
dabbe I'm with you on all of your choices! And here's to higher scores as the years move forward! #byebye1700s Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩵📚🩵 8h
Susanita @dabbe I‘m looking forward to moving through the years! In my defense, there were some other authors I‘ve read, just not those particular books. 8h

dabbe @CogsOfEncouragement Between all of us, we're around 20-ish. Here's to improving! 😍 8h
dabbe @BethM You'll get higher score as we move forward year-wise. The 1700s was like 😳! Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩵📚🩵 8h

#ThreeListThursday @dabbe #TLT

In addition to Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice, I also enjoyed The Last of the Mohicans. This was a difficult one this week.

Play? @Kshakal @BethM @rretzler @Lauredhel @CaroPi

BkClubCare Yeah,… no. I read the first few pages of Last of the Mohicans and decided “the movie is better” (I could be wrong, could maybe someday try again!) 10h
BethM I can‘t with classical lit 😆I‘m off to take it now! 9h
