As a spooky connoisseur, this quiz humbled me lol. 6?! If it was spooky books owned and unread or have been on your TBR for years I‘d have a top score.😄 So I‘ll be the person to list 3 I think were missed.

•Justice for The Push! Lol it‘s a perfect creepy bad seed concept
•The Weight of Blood is a great Carrie retelling
•NOS4A2 - Christmas themed but absolutely belongs
•Honorable mention: The Grip of It is CREEPY!

dabbe Ooh, thanks for listing some new ones! One can never have enough spooky reads on their TBR to get to ... someday! Thanks for playing and sharing. 🧡💜💛

Reggie I loved The Weight of Blood. I only got 12 on the list and I tell people horror@is my main genre. Lolol omg. 3d
KT1432 Agreed @dabbe! And this was fun even though I am a bit ashamed lol! 3d
KT1432 So @Reggie you feel my pain lol 🤣🤣 3d

Tried to post this last night but I couldn‘t get on Litsy for some reason. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks @dabbe for the tag! I‘m not much of a horror reader so I‘m not surprised at my score. 😂
3 faves: Frankenstein (always!), Gone Girl, Rebecca

I‘m surprised I got SEVEN on this list, as someone who‘s really not into scary/creepy/horror! The three on the left are favorites from this list (although I was surprised to see Name of the Rose on there!). The three on the right I‘ve read the book and watched one or more movie adaptations. With Dracula and The Dead Zone, I enjoyed the book more, but Hitchcock‘s Rebecca tops both the book & the recent movie version for me!

lil1inblue That's a good list! 🌟 4d
dabbe Fab list! Have you seen the 1940s REBECCA? It's an all-time fave of mine. Thanks for playing and sharing. 🧡💜💛 3d
BarbaraJean @dabbe Yes!!! It was the first Hitchcock film I ever saw. I watched it years before reading the book—and I still think it's better than the book 🫣🤫🤭 3d
dabbe @BarbaraJean I think you're right! 💛🩷🧡 3d

I did better than I expected (I‘m such a scaredy cat)! I even found three eerie books on the list that I did really love reading.

I also found one more that intrigued to try (tagged). I loved his book Hearts Invisible Furies and didn‘t know he‘d written something spooky. Intriguing! Thanks, @dabbe !

willaful We share two titles, I should try The Silent Companions. 4d
Karisa @willaful Someone on Litsy sent it in a swap box for me a couple of years back. It‘s a slim book that packs a creepy punch without being over the top horror. Going to go check out what your third is now! Looks like we have similar tastes in books! 😊 4d
lil1inblue That's one of the highest scores I've seen for this list! 4d
dabbe You kicked my sorry butt! Adding some of yours to the TBR. Thanks for playing and sharing. 🧡💜💛 3d

Yay! I made top 2%!! But horror is my jam, which is why I couldn‘t pick just three books. 😁 Sorry, @dabbe ! Just FYI—A Short Stay in Hell is not traditional horror. It is a very unique story that will burrow in your head and stay there. One truly horrifying aspect of the story are the numbers (I hated math!) as you try to comprehend the staggering calculations of infinity. 👻👹🧛🏻‍♀️🧟‍♀️💀 #TLT #ThreeListThursday

dabbe W😱W! You practically own this genre! Thanks for playing and sharing. 🧡💜💛 4d

Three books that I am intrigued by from the list are: Mexican Gothic, Carrie, and Gone Girl.

dabbe I can only vouch for CARRIE, and it is scary-good! 🤩 4d
thebacklistbook @dabbe 👍. Regarding my comment on your post I enjoyed all three I listed. M. L. Rio is one of my favorite authors. Though to be fair I'm heavily biased having followed her tumblr since before she was published in fiction. 4d
thebacklistbook The summoning sneaks up on you. It's good. And I adored Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. 4d

I don‘t love scary things so my score of 13% isn‘t all that surprising… I do love a psychological thriller though!

#threelistthursday #tlt @dabbe

Even though I love spooky reads, I'm not surprised by this score, though it's cool that it turned out to be the number 13. Some of these books look a little out of my horror-reading range just based on their covers alone! Favorites include ...
√THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE by Shirley Jackson
√THE ANNOTATED POE (stories by EA Poe)
√THE ELEMENTALS by Michael McDowell (he wrote the screenplay for BEETLEJUICE!)
