Here is the prompt for February‘s #TBRtarot, friends! Have fun, tag me, and happy reading!
Here is the prompt for February‘s #TBRtarot, friends! Have fun, tag me, and happy reading!
Friends, I seem to be in a slump 😢🤦♀️ Hoping that February is a better month! A few of you have posted your lists but here‘s my (late) list as a reminder for the rest. Enjoy! Numbers drawn on Monday! #readyourkindle #readyournook #readyourebooks #readyourkobo
Absolutely flipping brilliant. I‘m a lifelong Greek mythology nerd and his telling of these stories was a breath of fresh air. And the humor! Loved it.
I just really want this word to have something to do with cats 🐱😂 #weirdwordwednesday #weirdwords
@Jas16 you are the sweetest! Thank you for sending this to me - I can‘t wait to read it. Happy New Year to you ♥️♥️ Though I can‘t believe February is already almost here 😅😳
Amen, Armand. Amen. @Bookwormjillk you were right about it taking off. I‘m hooked on this one and already lost my disappointment from the last.
@CSeydel my heart is full of so many emotions after reading this beautiful book. I loved every minute of it. I wish I could write more but I‘m really just basking in this feeling that will without a doubt develop into a book hangover. Thank you for putting this on your list! ♥️♥️♥️♥️ #auldlangspine #ALSpine @monalyisha
Better late than never, friends! I‘ve been on a Bob Dylan kick lately and the term and lyrics (my favorites in the song) above are from one of my favorite songs of his: Visions of Johanna. Anyone ever play blind man‘s bluff as a kid? #weirdwordwednesday #weirdwords
Beautiful and sad. Loved it even more than Foster.
“He found himself asking was there any point in being alive without helping one another? Was it possible to carry on along through all the years, the decades, through an entire life, without once being brave enough to go against what was there and yet call yourself a Christian, and face yourself in the mirror?”
@CSeydel I don‘t know why it took me so long to read this! I think I‘ve been in a bit of a slump. Anyway, I LOVED it (I knew I would). What a crazy dysfunctional wacky family though - whew 😅😂 #auldlangspine @monalyisha
Thanks for the opportunity and happiest of birthdays, Lynn! I‘d love to have the tagged. #49bdaygiveaway @wanderinglynn
"That's England for you,' Gabi says morosely. Holes in everything. Your roofs leak. Woodworm in all your old furniture. And I've tried Jammie Dodgers. Disgusting.'
'It's about nostalgia,' Alice says gently. She is used to Gabi's sudden bursts of disapproval. I suppose it's about what the biscuits represent, rather than the biscuits themselves. What's your top nostalgia snack in Brazil?”
Gabi says, 'None. In Brazil, we move on.'
@JessieKB thank you so much! I can‘t wait to read this 👏🏻👏🏻 And the chocolate - so much chocolate 😋 I also loved the whole gingerbread theme and your sweet card. Happy Little Christmas Swap Day! #littlechristmasswap @bookish_wookish
Hey @tpixie it would‘ve taken me forever to find my original post, so here‘s a repost just for you 😊 The only change is that I draw numbers on the 3rd of the month, not the 5th. You can read as many of those drawn books as you want, *but* reading anything from your Kindle/ereader counts! Hope this helps 😊
Whyyyyy did it take me so long to read this? I blame the holiday blues. I‘ll admit that I got a little angry at the ending, because it felt unfinished and just not “right” somehow. Then I realized that Louise just threw a cliffhanger in there 😂 I‘m so confused 😂 #readyourkindle
Time to #readyourkindle #readyournook #readyourebooks #readyourkobo 😊👏🏻😀♥️ Happy reading, friends! Don‘t forget to tag me in your posts, I love seeing them all.
@CSeydel I started this on audio today and can already tell that it will affect me deeply. As a former hospice nurse, I‘m very aware of unnecessary and often more painful medical interventions that hurt rather than help. There is such a thing as a “good” death, one that allows quality of life in those last days/months rather than quantity. #ALSpine25 @monalyisha
Happy New Year, friends! Here‘s to reading lots of good books 📚🎇 And here is our prompt for January - very appropriate, I think 😊 Have fun! Let me know if you want to be added or removed from the tag list. #TBRtarot
Alright, alright, alright, my peeps! Who‘s ready for 2025? I‘m not 😂🫣😅 Thanks for tagging along with me for this challenge - I hope it‘s helped you clear those TBR mountains! That being said, please let me know if you‘d like to be added or removed from my tag list. Here‘s to another year of #readyourkindle, #readyourebooks, #readyournook, and #readyourkobo 🎇⭐️♥️
And with this book, I‘ve read three out of four. To say that I can‘t wait for Air would be a massive understatement. Every book in this series is special, but Fire was much darker and a bit more unsettling. How is John Boyne so brilliant? I‘d probably burst into tears if I met him in person 😂♥️
Apologies for the crappy pic - I really should take a better one because THIS BOOK, y‘all. It deserves to be celebrated. Loved it! Checked all my boxes 👏🏻👏🏻
I love color words! The bird is a flavescent bulbul, and the fish is a flavescent peacock (a type of cichlid). Apologies for not posting the past two weeks, friends! #weirdwords #weirdwordwednesday
Total impulse grab from KU. I‘d never heard of Torre but definitely want to read more from her! This book was banana pants bonkers and featured possibly one of the most twisted, evil main characters ever. I flew through it! #readyourkindle (omg I actually read a drawn number 😂)
I didn‘t know if I‘d like this, but I didn‘t expect to absolutely LOVE it. Margo is my kind of “heroine” - flawed, insecure, funny, a bit sad, but ultimately kick ass. This book blew me away.
Loved it, loved it, LOVED it. If you like a family drama - especially with (my favorite) dysfunction - this is the book for you. @AmyG have you read this? If not, I‘m sending to you along with another one I recently read that I think you‘ll love. #TBRtarot gifted by @BookBosomed1 (thank you, Lindsey ♥️)
Okay Carrie, I‘m excited! And I gave you double this amount on my list 🫢🫢😂😂 (I can never narrow it down). I‘ve read #6 and #10 (loved both), but none of the others 👏🏻 I‘ll start with I‘m Sorry You Feel That Way since I bought it recently (have you read Our Fathers by Wait? Excellent book). Yay! @CSeydel
#auldlangspine2025 #ALSpine2025
Who hit 100,000 Litfluence??? ME!!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Absolutely brilliant. I‘ll always love a story about a badass female heroine, but Martha Ballard is more than that and the author‘s love for her emanates from every page. It isn‘t an easy book to read, but seems necessary, especially considering the state of women‘s rights today. The fact that events in 1790 could parallel anything in 2024 - baffling. Anyway, read this, y‘all!
I consider myself semi knowledgeable in Greek mythology, but Stephen Fry is letting me know that there is still much more to learn! Bosporus and Oxford are basically the same word and get their origins from the story of Io (and Zeus being a cad, again). Plus I learned why the peacock is sacred to Hera! Enjoy 😊 #weirdwords #weirdwordwednesday

Today is the day, my friends! Here are the numbers for #readyourkindle 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Would love to see what you‘ll be reading! Have fun 😊 #readyournook #readyourkobo #readyourebooks
@AmyG have you read this?
A #TBRtarot that is very appropriate for the season! This can be a birthday gift, Christmas gift, just because gift - you choose! Have fun, friends ♥️
Earth AND Water by Boyne are equally loved but, I can only fit one 😂🤷♀️ High points and all the honorable mentions go to People Who Knew Me by Kim Hooper. #readingbracket2024 @CSeydel
So many of you have posted your lists and it seems your host is late to the party 😂😂 Here we go! I‘m not keeping to my lists, but I AM reading my Kindle a lot 🤷♀️😀 #readyourkindle #readyournook #readyourkobo #readyourebooks
Thanks to @Megabooks for posting about Kim Hooper - this was SO very good. What a debut! Based on this, I‘m determined now to read everything she‘s written. ♥️
Friends, meet Fig ♥️ She showed up on our back deck and never left. Our crazy chihuahua‘s life is alll turned upside down (😂😅) but, we love our Fig so much already. #catsoflitsy #figloaf
@AmyG it came yesterday and I forgot to check the mail 🤦♀️🤦♀️ Thank you so much, my friend ♥️♥️♥️
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I can‘t stop reading these!! Curse you, Kindle Unlimited 😂😂 #readyourkindle #notevenonmylist #sorrynotsorry
Thanks to the lovely book, Mythos, and to the even lovelier Stephen Fry for writing it, this is my #weirdwords pick for today! Link to the mythological origin/story: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycaon_(king_of_Arcadia)
Enjoy! #weirdwordwednesday
Y‘alllllll this was the best! Seriously so funny, with a great mystery thrown in. Finlay and Vero are totally friend goals 🙌🏻 #readyourkindle
I was fine putting marginalia in my textbooks, and maybe literature I was reading for school, but now? It‘s hard for me to write in books (maybe that‘s why #LPMBC wasn‘t my cup of tea 😂)! Anyway, such a pretty word, hope you all enjoy! Here‘s an article about weird medieval marginalia: https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/medieval-marginalia-books-doodles
So intense, so disturbing, so quintessentially Boyne. The ending was perfection. #TBRtarot
Well, I‘m stoked I was almost finished with this when the election disaster happened, because it‘s completely banana pants and batshit crazy. I definitely needed the escape! @5feet.of.fury you were right, absolutely bonkers 😳🫢😂
Special edition of #weirdwordwednesday, coming to you from someone in utter disbelief. #weirdwords 💔💔💔
Well. If this quote isn‘t appropriate for this “misinformation age” we‘re living in, I don‘t know what is 😵💫
And here we gooooooo!! The November #readyourkindle numbers are here 👏🏻👏🏻 Have fun! #readyourebooks #readyournook #readyourkobo (please note the new hashtag 😊)
Please let me know if you‘d like to be added/removed from my tag list! 📚 🤓
October favorite! TJ is beating everyone else though. And the LMP book is added as a bonus ♥️ #readingbracket2024 @CSeydel
