Half of the book was about makeup and fashion tips. If you are not into that (like me) the rest of the book I loved.

There were some slow parts, but it was still a good book about a girl living through the Taliban takeover.
A tale of a little girl making sense of her mother's passing, dealing with an abusive father, and making unexpected friendships.
This book changed my views on her. Good for her for holding on and being tough though her circumstances.
I really loved this book and the dynamic relationship these two ended up having!
It was so much going on in this book, but it wasn't bad at all.
You witnessed the downfall of an innocent depressive girl and her use of drugs that eventually became her downfall. At some points, you think she is getting better mentally, but then...
"Whatever you do and say shows the world who you are. Let it be the truth"
If you liked the movie The Good Son, then you will enjoy this easy read.
Some poems were very good, referencing all the dark times of war. But a lot of them were too wordy with little to no understanding.
This book is funny but crude, and I couldn't put it down. It's not for everyone.
This book was like HP Lovecraft on LSD and Shrooms. Over the top weirdness.
*Rejection is Protection
*When you give someone something they don't deserve, they undervalue your gift
*You are responsible for your own happiness
These are just the tip of the iceberg of what MJ Harris has to offer. Raw, inspiring and exciting, this book will guide you to living your truth without boundaries or fear.
I loved this book! Page 175 (the very last line) had the scariest line in the whole entire book. Chapter 36 shows how powerful people can be, and Chapter 47 was my favorite!
To me it wasn't much of a comedy or a horror but it did start to get good in chapter 25.
I guess the title "Wild" is about her experiences on the trail and her life after her mom passes, because she was Wild herself doing such crazy things to other people and thinking navigating the PCT will help her.
A nice collection of written poetry based on Black history. My favs: Fly and On Stupidity.
This is the weirdest book I have ever read and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
I'm a non violent person so this book spoke to me. I loved his perspective on freedom!
I actually enjoyed it. It was pretty funny. I do wish he spoke more about himself and his relationship with politics and less about his father went through.
Whoa, someone didn't like Jews very much... yikes! Very interesting though.
This book was irritating at first, but towards the end, I realized why it was repetitive.
It was okay. There are some funny parts and some facts that I never knew about the "art" of farting.
I loved it. Every chapter was worth reading!
My favorite stories were The Finkelstein; Things My Mother Said; Friday Black and Through the Flesh.
VERY INTERESTING!
Sheek, Sweet Breath and Alfred I loved. Very slick writing with a lot of truths and mysteries of Baltimore
A horror story involving a cult conjuring up this monster. Not one of my favorites.
"A small man can be just as exhausted as a great man" -this is a book of broken dreams, settling, depression and then the ultimate act to end it.
" You don't need to be great to get started, but you need to get started to be great"
It was okay. A cool kids story. There was a part that was sad, I can see why it's on the banned book list.
"Just because some of us can read and write and do a little math, that doesn't mean we deserve to conquer the Universe"
The reveal at the end was worth the whole thing!
It was very good and unfortunately still relevant today.
"I've decided that, if I accomplished nothing else in this life, I somehow would get enough education to be able to read common books and newspapers" (Booker T Washington) -no matter what adversity comes through, you can overcome and make a difference.
" I don't want your money Kas, I want your soul!" A story about getting revenge on those who sent you to Hell.
