pickI had no idea what the hell was going on in this book, and I do love when that happens! I enjoyed the supernatural aspect, the homage to Rosemary‘s Baby, and how Unger made the apartment building seem like a character. Very atmospheric and twisty!

so-soI got this from my book club‘s mystery Christmas book exchange. It was an OK read but I felt the writing had a tendency to be too repetitive, and some of the events felt too obviously like plot devices. Maybe I‘m just too cynical for ghost stories!

pickI get transported back to Painters Mill every time I read one of Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder Series books. Burkholder has to figure out who is doing hate crimes toward the Amish. Is there more than meets the eye with these crimes. If you haven't read this series, you should give it a try.

This was book 4 in the series &, somewhere along the way, I read this out of order - prior to my joining GR in 2013🤦🏻♀️ That being said, I couldn‘t properly enjoy the story. However, it did serve as a refresher & a reminder that I‘ve spent entirely too long away from the McKettrick family. 🥂to getting reacquainted with some of my favourite cowboys🤠💕
