This book is about two strangers who must survive and save each other after crashing in the mountains. It‘s snowy and cold and tense and romantic - perfect for blustery January. #LittensLoveSJM #ToG #EoS Ch.37-45: it‘s a good thing a big portion of these chapters was spent on a boat because I am shipping these characters hard…ok that was lame, but it does seem to be getting coupley - we have Aedion saying he‘s going to marry Lysandra, Dorian jumping in the water to save Manon, the flame-worthy scene on the beach with Rowan and Aelin🔥and Elise and Lorcan finally telling each other the truth. ⬇️

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 18 Ch.1-5: this was an interesting start to the case. We don‘t see what the perpetrator thinks until later in the book. We see the victim‘s actions first thing. We know Reva is framed right off but how will Eve know that and prove it? I loved the banter between Peabody and Eve and the fact that Eve told Roarke what she would do if she caught him cheating 😂 I am worried they will butt heads during this case though.

This was a great book and the better of the two in the series. I enjoyed Lawson and Willow‘s story and didn‘t want to put it down. So far, a friend of Roarke‘s seems to have been framed in a gruesome murder. luckily, Eve is not the type to just go by what a crime looks like - she takes every case personally and she‘ll get to the bottom of it.

Currently reading during the #Welcome2026Readathon - the characters‘ eyes met across a crowded room and now their lives are irrevocably changed - I love it and just what I‘m in the mood for on this cold December night.

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG #EoS Ch.28-36: Some more intense chapters that show that no matter how dumb it may be, Aelin always does have a plan. Why she is so selective about who she shares info with - I guess it comes down to her upbringing and to her being used to working alone. But I‘m sure her court will get annoyed with being left out of the equation at some point. A lot happened in these 10 chapters ⬇️

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 17.5: The novels Hot Rocks and Big Jack, put together in Remember When, made a great pairing. I liked these two shorter novels. I liked the trouble from the past, then the solving and closing the case with Dallas in 2059. By far the best part was Peabody establishing her detective moves and finding her groove with looking the part. These books were worth the read.⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance ch. 34-36: well, just like Harriet, we knew it was coming, we anticipated the end, but man, we‘re still gutted. I need to know where Nolan went. He didn‘t take his compass. How will he find his way back? We‘ll finish up tomorrow!

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.31-33: heading back to the day he died is intense - the universe has a message for them both - perhaps Harriet was meant to be with Nolan when he passed. Perhaps his soul remembers her from then and that is why they have such a strong connection. So many unknowns right now! Ok…that‘s a sign to keep reading 😜

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.28-30: Sorry I missed posting on Xmas Eve - things got too busy! I will post again later today to keep us on schedule. I hope everyone had a lovely holiday. Harriet finally said what needed to be said to her family and good for her! Sometimes you need to cut out the toxic elements of your life to be truly happy. Harriet didn‘t belong in that family. I sometimes wonder if she actually belongs in the past with Nolan.⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.25-27: I‘m so sad reading Harriet‘s memories. How could her family, most of all her sister, treat her like that? I hope she makes a genuine splash at this gala with Nolan at her side. I hope her family notice him and he makes them feel really guilty for how they treat Harriet.

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG #EoS ch.19-27: I love how cocky Aelin was when meeting Rolfe again. Boy, was he pissed😝 I like that Rowan is training Dorian. I‘m sad that he seems to know the war effort is hopeless (at least as it stands now). I fear for Manon - she‘s injured and on the run. Where did her 13 end up? Will her grandmother hunt her? Elide and Lorcan are an interesting pair. How long will they stay together on their journey? ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.22-24: Sugar and lots of Spice, and everything nice for two people who totally deserve happiness. And then, the other shoe drops and Isabella shows up. Scary. I really don‘t know what will happen. There are laws in Nolan‘s world that seem like they can‘t be messed with. Even for true love.

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 17.5 Ch.1-8: we‘re back in 2059 with Eve, Roarke, and Eve‘s new partner Peabody. It is interesting seeing the changing dynamic between the two. It‘s interesting seeing Peabody without her uniform! I think she‘s fitting into her new role well and it‘s great to see. It‘s cool how this book aligns with the previous story, and how some diamonds were never recovered. Are we thinking the killer is Crew‘s grandson? ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.19-21: Is Nolan‘s magic going out of control b/c he and Harriet are giving into their feelings? That was a passionate kiss - maybe it ticked off the powers that be. Or maybe Nolan is the compass that is spinning around. These trips to the past are confusing for us all - but I‘m sure all will be revealed. Hopefully before hearts are broken or the Christmas Eve deadline arrives and Nolan disappears from Harriet‘s memories.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.16-18: I love the chemistry between these characters. It‘s so real and tangible they can‘t deny their attraction. But what will the consequences be? Will Nolan get in trouble at his job? Will he be forced to hand Harriet to another ghost? I am so rooting for these two. I‘m also curious about the issue Isabella is dealing with about the Reaper. 😆

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13-15: poor Harriet. I get why Nolan is energized and excited to think of the possibility of moving on - but he doesn‘t realize how his actions hurt her. She‘s been abandoned her whole life. And now, when she‘s starting to feel for him, he is looking forward to moving on. sad. But I also totally get his perspective.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.10-12: ooh how interesting- maybe this haunting really is about Nolan, not Harriet. Maybe she is meant to show him things, not the other way around. He‘s starting to taste and feel and they jump into his past - what a neat twist and one I wasn‘t expecting. This book and the characters have me so invested.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.7-9: poor Harriet. I understand where Nolan is coming from but he was pretty harsh and I feel for her. I know he feels bad for how he reacted to her plan. Now he‘ll have to fix it so she trusts him again. She could be right, you know. She could be meant to get him out of his rut. It could be the universe‘s gift to him and her. We‘ll have to see how he grovels to get back in her good graces.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.4-6: I really feel for Harriet. Seems as though her home life was stifling. And she misses her connections with her aunt Matilda and her sister. She‘s just as lonely as Nolan I think. I hope she can reconnect with her sister and maybe grow the backbone needed to tell off her mother.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.1-3: what a fun start! I already love the tongue in cheek style (spirits head quarters being in Bed Bath & beyond at one time 😆) I liked how Harriet didn‘t just accept her haunting. She asked to speak to his manager! She is not going to be a pushover for this world weary ghost. Looking forward to seeing what happens and why she is being haunted.

The consequences of this revelation are far-reaching, not just for Manon, but for everyone in her 13 and the witch world. What will Manon and the 13 do with this info? Then we have more ancient Fae ghosts giving more cryptic commands - and Aelin squares off against Erawan. It does not go well - and scares her⬇️

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Hot Rocks Ch.9-end: Ok, Max definitely grew on me. Although they had a whirlwind romance it felt real the more they went through together and hit me in the feels. @LiseWorks made a good point last week: Laine and Max are like Eve and Roarke - one used to be a con, a grifter and has a past and one works for the other side of the law. How interesting to have it gender swapped in Laine and Max‘s case. ⬇️

By this book, SJM knows who her audience is, she knows we‘ve been on this journey with her so far, we don‘t need boring long expositions- we‘re ready to get back in with our characters. It‘s complicated. Laine Tavish and Max Gannon‘s lives are complicated. Laine is hiding from her past in small town USA and it comes to the forefront when she witnesses her father - criminal Big Jack O‘Hara‘s partner die in front of her antiques store. ⬇️

They have their work cut out for them fighting for what is hers. The king of Adarlan is dead - or so they believe. I want to see a body before I make up my mind. Dorian is now King and has been left in Adarlan. I worry about how he‘ll get on by himself. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.35-end/review: I‘m so glad Noah‘s sister smacked some sense into him and instead of sabotaging his relationship he went to see Amelia. It was a great ending and a nice big gesture on his part (buying the iPhone too❤️). I really liked this book even though it was definitely a slow burn lots of pining type of romance. I fell in love with the town too, and the quirky people. I will definitely be heading back to Rome, Kentucky.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.33-34: finally Amelia and Noah have it out and decide that yes! they do want to be together. hallelujah! But then those damn paparazzi show up and surprise, Susan comes to the rescue. A bit convenient. Amelia speaks to her mom, and realizes Susan has been the villain in the piece for a while. She acknowledges that she‘s given the woman too much power over her - but no more. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.31-32: well they took things to the next level. Better to have loved and lost is their thinking. YOLO and all that. Honestly- there‘s no going back now! They were already in love. Now they‘ve only cemented their feelings. I get that Noah was hurt but him comparing Amelia so much to Merritt is doing her a disservice.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.29-30: I love you, but you‘re leaving so that‘s that. Ugh Noah! Don‘t be a sad Gregory Peck! Fight for your girl and your happiness! Will he chase her when she leaves like the final scene in a romantic movie? Or will he just let her walk away?

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.27-28: just as Amelia has fallen into the feelings pool, so have we. I think I‘d pick Noah every time. Amelia needs to talk to him about her feelings and maybe the two of them can figure out how to make a relationship work. It‘s clear they both don‘t want their time to end. Make it work!

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Queen of Shadows Ch.71-80: Hold on…trying to catch my breath. What a whirlwind few chapters! Hands down - best part was Lysandra kicking ass as a ghost leopard. Question: do we really believe the King was mostly innocent in all his crimes? That he was just a pawn? Do we think he‘s really dead? I guess they have to go after Perrington now. I‘m very interested in how things will be now that magic has returned.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.25-26: I‘m very much enjoying this book and their mutual pining, then denying. But I think it‘s about time for another kiss at the very least. Stop teasing us so much! Also, he pushed her into the lake - here‘s hoping she didn‘t have her phone on her. Although at this point- that might be a relief. I wonder what happened to the paparazzi guy that was snooping around.

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 17 Ch.11-15: it‘s so fun to see Roarke acting like a normal guy once in an awhile- buying an overly complicated BBQ and utterly failing to cook an edible meal was amazing. Eve is fighting a losing battle when it comes to finding the killer and his next victim. She knows she won‘t catch him before he kills someone else. That‘s got to weigh heavily. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.23-24: Amelia needs to channel her inner Audrey and get courage to do what she really wants for once. It might not have worked out for the princess in Roman Holiday but that doesn‘t mean it can‘t work out for Amelia and Noah. Of course, she‘d have to stand up to and put a stop to Susan first. Hire Claire instead maybe? And find out everything that has been going on behind her back. Easier said than done.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.21-22: I really like the people in Rome. I hope they continue to protect Amelia from those paparazzi jerks. But I do feel as though things are coming to a close for her vacation, and soon. Also, Susan is linked to all the unsavoury things her mom does. I hope Amelia realizes maybe her mom is innocent in all this.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.19-20: I found it cute that the townspeople are so invested in Noah - telling Amelia about his past (right in front of him haha) - you really can‘t be overly upset with them. They mean well. I‘m hoping that her hair transformation goes well. Here‘s hoping she doesn‘t end up looking like an 80‘s country star.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.17-18: I love the flirty banter btw these two. They clearly like each other and have chemistry. But man, is Noah fighting it. Come on, give in. Talk to each other about what you both really want - from each other but also out of life. Before things blow up for Amelia and she has to leave.
