pickBesides the overkill exposition and similarity in the CaIaena/Chaol and Aelin/Rowan dynamics, I liked this book better than the second book. I think the flipping between characters AND locations is what made this book more dynamic than the first two.

Feeling that this 3rd book is recycling tropes from the first book. Brooding person to help “train” her. A test. She has to prove herself. Plus after 2 full books, I can say that there seems to be too much exposition in these books. A lot of telling vs showing.

pickMy friend finally got me to join the SJM hype train. It took awhile for me to get hooked, but once it got me, I wasn‘t leaving. Enjoying a coffee and a few chapters. This series is amazing, this book has already made me cry twice and I still have a good way to go. Sarah J Maas is a brilliant writer and I have loved all of her books but I have a feeling this one might emotionally destroy me....I can't wait haha
