Second book in the TOG series. I once again liked the book however I wish there was some romance on top of the political intrigue. 4 🌟

We‘ve got it, folks: proof that SJM can write a compelling plot with fun-to-follow characters. This series is shaping up to be heaps better than ACOTAR, and I‘m excited to keep going.
It was a little slow in the beginning. But sjm fashion she picked it up in the last 50 pages..
These books have my heart 🫶🏻
These books honestly changed my life
I‘ll never stop recommending them
Even got a whole back tattoo from Goldryn
These are my Roman Empires
Wow 🤩 what an adventure! slow start but oh my goodness how it picked up ! So glad I have the box set ! But … must read others first 😆#soooomanybookssolittletime
I forgot to mention that I finished this and just went straight into Assassin‘s Blade. Yes…I am a publishing order kind of gal. But, another enjoyable read. These are definitely holding my interest.
Before this morning I had not come across this series of books. My granddaughter read the first book and enjoyed it which prompted me to purchase the Crown of Midnight for her. I expect eventually, I will end up buying the entire set.
Crown of Midnight
The second book in this series. Though from the set I bought it shows it as the third. But if you read them in the right or recommended order they are suppose to be even better. So that is what I will be doing. Next will be Heir of Fire then The Assassin's Blade after. Then we will see....

Made it to 10 indie bookstores today! I‘m pooped and will be here for the rest of the evening. #caturday #indiebookstoreday #huey #catsoflitsy
Loved this continuation of Throne of Glass, lots of character development and I enjoyed getting to know the main players.
Now to anxiously await my hold to come in at the library for the next in the series…
Continuing on with ToG and absolutely loved this one! Can‘t wait to dive into Heir of Fire! 🔥 #LitsyLoveReads
Incredible!

What a fantastic book. Wow. The kind of book where you suspect something, and that thing does happen, but in a way that it still surprises you, still a triumphant badass moment. She keeps saying “I am not afraid” to trick herself into not being, but girl, I want to be as brave as you. You re my role model to take on the world!
I‘ve read Kingdom of the Wicked book one and Heartstopper Volume 5 after finishing Throne of Glass, but we‘re back on! Already 40 pages in and I swear this is one of my favorites of the series☺️🫶🏼
Loving Celaena character soooo much! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ on to the next book.
Change of reading plans for January. I guess Sarah J Maas said we should have read all of her series before reading House of Flame and Shadow. I never read past the 1st book in the Throne of Glass series. So I'm going to try to get through the next 6 books this month. Now starting Crown of Midnight.🙃
A good read, with more backstory of Celeana‘s past. Better than first. Was a bit of a drag at points, yet the mystery is rising. All this trust being thrown around… it‘s a major piece of Chaol and Dorian‘s life mixing with hers. The Kings magic thing is driving me nuts, trying to understand how it all goes along. For everything that makes sense, more questions arise. The whole portal stuff. I think I changed my mind on exploring the library. #sjm
So far I think I may end up liking this series better than The Court of Thorns and Roses and I loved that series. Celaena as the Fae heroine is on point. The Chaol/Dorian storyline is perfect so far. Let‘s find the magic!
Yikes was this book a drag… I listened to it twice since I got to the end the first time and didn‘t realize what was happening 😱 I know the series gets better but this one just wasn‘t for me
Just finished my reread. Took longer than expected. Still just as amazing.
This is the second book on the Throne of Glass series. It's an adventure in the realm of kings, warriors and fae but it does sizzle like Maas' series A Court of Thorns and Roses. Nevertheless, this a good book and a great YA alternative. I liked this book better than the first and the prequel. It becomes apparent who Celaena Sardothien is truly and why she is such a ferocious assassin.
“‘Why are you crying?‘
‘Because,‘ she whispered, her voice shaking, ‘you remind me of what the world ought to be. What the world can be.‘”

I would say 3.5 stars. Probably didn‘t help that I knew some spoilers, but I also felt this book was slower in pace overall.
Coffee and a good book is happiness....I'm easy to please. I'm still not entirely convinced by this SJM series.....it's no ACOTAR! At least I now know who Aelin is!!!! Not sure how I feel about Chaol.... or Dorian!? 🤔

Currently watching Scott's vacation house rules, elementary, Murdoch mysteries, american idol, ride, Sullivan's crossing, all the NCIS shows, Grey's anatomy.
Just finished Alaska daily, and the way home.
I would like to see throne of glass become a film series, or Laurie King's take on Sherlock Holmes as a tv show.
This series is fantastic. This was the 2nd book in The Throne of Glass series. This author does not disappoint 🤩🤩🤩
4/5⭐️
I'm really enjoying this series! There are so many intricate layers unfolding and I'm impressed by how well the author delivers it. This one is a hair more mature intimacy-wise and language-wise than the last. (Still pretty tame though) It's not a perfect book (because not many books are) but this one really has something going for it despite my small gripes. I'm moving right on to the next book in the series. I'm excited!
This is the next book in the Throne of Glass series. I can't wait to start the next book as soon as I've finished the previous one.
I was on the fence about continuing this series, but I'm glad I did. The storytelling improves in the 2nd book and by the end I was completely caught up in Celaena's world. There's some great character growth, lots of heartbreak and big reveals, and I loved her dynamic with Chaol. The big picture story is constantly in motion and I'm excited to see what happens next.
Its started good, but I got lost somewhere in the middle, a lot of twisting and turning, most like because I listened via audible there are a lot of characters and more are added with each book it gets a bit confusing
I‘m really enjoying this series! Celaena is the best 🥰 Onto the third book 📚
I could not put this book down! There is not a boring page!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Starting this and the first chapter is already grabbing me into the story 📖🤗
Yesssss much better. But now I have to wait positively forever for my holds to come through
I'm really really glad I decided to reread this series! I'm almost finished with book two and I somehow forgot how much I love these books! 😍💕📚 What a great feeling!
Much better than the first book! I enjoyed the first one but got totally sucked into this one. I hope the rest of the series is just as good! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bk7 of February & Bk3 & last of #FabulousFebruary #readathon is done. Well, it‘s really been a #FebruaryMaas readathon for me! The 2nd in the Throne Of Glass series was darker than the first, with a lot more blood, death & evil. Onto the next! #BookspinBingo #SeriesRead2022 #PennyPerPage #Pageathon #FinishingTheSeries #52BookClubRC2022
Yesterday‘s op shop scores. I left behind a gorgeous tea pot I have been thinking about ever since so will have to return for it tomorrow. I hope it‘s still there. It‘s not as though I don‘t already have enough tea pots or books for that matter. Ha!
Well this one really ripped my heart to shreds!! I'm talking "about to throw the book at the wall"! My favorite character AND my favorite relationship perished, but apparently were the collateral damage needed to unlock Celeana's badass self once more! The huge reveal at the end and a whole new land make me very excited for the next book! Out of the two I have read so far, this one is my favorite!
This book was a little bit disappointing. It was too long and winding, in my opinion, and the middle got pretty boring. But, the ending was so good. It blew my mind!
