At my library #SHPL they have this tribute to Jane Austen for her 250th birthday!
It has book adaptations, movie/TV versions, virtual tours to take of places she‘s lived/been, and about her.
And I belief in June they‘ll be doing some special programs.
I started this #audiobook for a local author who‘s part of GDRW. It‘s a fun book so far!
Saw this on Facebook to make mini books. The crafters precut foam tape is at DollarTree, according to the post.
I‘ve been wanting to make mini books and then place them in a clear tree ornament.

I signed up for another “letter” service - the Fae Letters. This one is weekly and told in second person, with me being a heroine! What sold me to purchase the year subscription is there‘s a QR code of the male Cad reading his diary letters to the listener; I‘m all about the audio experience these days.

Went to the Books and Brews event over the weekend and purchased this book! It may be a little too risqué for me, there were a lot of trigger warnings at the beginning. But, I also feel the need to read it and see for myself.

I spotted my current ebook as a paperback! I didn‘t purchase, but I did touch and see how the text was laid out in book form.
Listening to my friend and author‘s #audiobook!
I initially was a beta reader for her book around seven years ago when she was working on the story. I remember the major scenes, but many of the smaller details got lost. It‘s a nice reread!
Started this book for #ReadYourKindle challenge! I‘m very intrigued to see how the events unfold. And waiting for some pirate action!
so-soHad Victorian Book Club at the Upton House museum. The coordinator makes up such fun alliteration titles for our snacks! And very thoughtful questions to aid discussion.
I‘m not a fan of the book. Emma got on my nerves and made bad choices. I also learned not to solely use credit for purchases, so I won‘t go into debt.
pickThis book was okay, easy read, everything gets resolved, HEA. Some of the dialogue was hokey, it was trying to hard to be funny. The author tried to channel Wesley from The Princess Bride. I could have used a little more world building, especially with the pirate bard being part fae, it was more a fact than part of his character. I appreciated the memory loss being curse bound and fixable. Little dragon action, would have liked to know more.

Went to the Plymouth Historical Museum and they had this crate filled with books in their store. I got a cozy mystery to give to my mom. And they were priced to move - only $1.
So far I‘m doing great with this challenge! 😂
I stopped in at the temporary Fraser Public Library 📚 over the weekend. Yes, it‘s in a storefront! Amazingly all sections were present, even an encyclopedia set!
@CKBrooke outdid herself with our book discussion. She was totally on the TANGLED theme for the tagged book!

pickI listened to the Graphic Audio #audiobook and was thrilled with my selection!
Some things were predictable, while a couple items surprised me. I “rode and did not die,” so I‘m in on the hype!
Though, I was disappointed in the big battle scene - Violet was practically useless - her ability didn‘t grow with the task set before her. She definitely frustrated me there.
It‘s a cold one in southeastern Michigan!
This is the perfect scenario to keep warm! 📚

Super happy #SimonVance is narrating! It makes me feel like I‘m supporting him even as he‘s trying to rebuild after the California fires took his house.

pickThis whole series has Disney reimaginings. This one is Tangled! There are many similarities to the movie. While some of them seem a bit out of place for this narrative. The climatic scene is a little too tidy and there‘s only a paragraph conclusion. Overall a good book. I appreciated the slow build romance, both changed, and they do get their HEA ❤️
My favorite actress, Keira Knightley, will be starring in the Netflix adaptation of Ruth Ware‘s novel! Set to release Fall 2025. I plan on reading the book and then watching it.

It was my first Collins story and I could read his other three!
pickFinished this pirate story where some people are able to use the elements as magic.
I appreciated the morally gray, reluctant hero pirate captain. His past greatly influenced his decisions and made him a worthy person.

pickThis was super enjoyable to read! It‘s one that made me want to delay bed time lol
The writing is done well, fast paced. The characters are super believable and are both rounded out by the end, each had something to learn. There are a couple spicy scenes, but done emotionally well.
Reminded me of my time spent living in the dorms at university. A very relatable book for me.
*spoiler alert 😂 some books and movies have their endings spoiled!

Many might not know his name, but may have heard his voice! Simon Vance has narrated many an #audiobook from the Temeraire series to the Aubrey/Maturin series to the Dune series! His voice is grand in style, comfortable in both male and female voices and dialects. When I listen to his stories I‘m transported inside the narrative thanks to his voice.
His in-house recording studio burned along with his house in the Eaton, California fires. ⬇️
