Me: I have to finish this by Tuesday because not only is it book club, but I picked the book. And I‘m enjoying it!

Did I perhaps go overboard with my #bookhaul from one of my favorite used bookstores this weekend? Maybe yes? But also no because I did trade in a huge bag of books so I only spent $60, and their mystery selection is sooooo gooood!! 🤷♀️ #bookhaulmath
Amelia warming my lap while I skip yoga to finish this book. It‘s not moving that fast and yet it‘s compelling? I don‘t know why I‘m so hooked 🤷♀️
Working my way through the oldest of my unread BOTM selections this week. I bought one new book and took out three library books but I‘m still clearing some shelf space (that pile is all finished, needs a new home and it‘s much taller than the picture lets on!)
Amelia in the cat bed made my day. She‘s not usually a cat bed girl.
Next up! And I managed to make a sort of an omelet (my nemesis, they always end up just scrambled eggs 😂)
Perfect (purrrrr-fect?! 😹) way to start an extra weekend day. This book is different than Hendrix‘s others (less creepy and gross, more character driven) but we‘re enjoying it!
The kittens finally settled down for the night (maybe) so I‘m gonna read for a bit…
Does anyone else immediately start singing that song from The Little Mermaid when they see the cover of this book? Just me? 😅 Like, every time I pick it up to start a new chapter or whatever? 🤣🤣

I tidied up my office before starting my new job (!!!) this week and figured I‘d make a tentative TBR stack for this month. Here‘s what I came up with ☺️
From this afternoon, cozied up with my girls and this book on the kindle iPad app. Hope everyone‘s having a chill Xmas!!

Took myself on a little mid-chore/errand lunch date and if there‘s a bakery next to the brewery, you might as well get dessert and keep the break going, right?!
I started this today and was enjoying it, but after a while it almost felt like the author was making fun of Molly, making her just TOO gullible and oblivious… I dunno but I put it aside and I‘m reading my creepy BOTM instead (and I eyed the attic hatch pretty hard just now 😅)
Another day, another sneaking off for beer and a book. Plus my new fave shirt (it‘s so soft)
The best part about being unemployed is stuff like random midweek midafternoon beer and a book solo dates (the worst thing is that I shouldn‘t really be buying beers OR books, but this is a library book so 😝)
It‘s cozy season! This one is set in August so it‘s a little summery to be a #seasonalcozies read but Chloe & I are diving in anyway.
It‘s been pouring all morning, so it was a pancakes and cute romance sort of day, but now the sky is clearing so I should start thinking about errands (after a few more chapters, it‘s such a sweet book so far!!)
Husband has covid and I‘m not feeling great either…. so everything is a mess and we‘re isolated to separate floors of the house unless this test says I have it too. 😅
At least I have plenty of books! Finished Horror Movie and The Scent Keeper both yesterday (4 and 3 stars respectively) and started the tagged, which is perfect sick day reading. Plus my new merino Bombas came and I have cozy feet!
It‘s a perfect day and such a good view for some front porch reading (imagine you can hear the sea lions and the traffic though 😂)
My husband is going away for a week so I made some plans of my own…
I totally forgot that I went crazy with my #botm order this month and now I don‘t know what to read first! 😅
Finished this spicy romance outside with my sweet old lady Edie-cat, who has been loving yard exploring on her harness
The girls hung out with me while I did a face mask and continued blazing through this book today.
I‘m also reading The Book of Love and I love it so much I don‘t want to finish it so I haven‘t picked it up in a couple days 😂😂 That‘s a first for me I think. Anyone else do that?!
It‘s my second to last day as an unemployed person before I finally start a new job (🙌🙌) so I‘m enjoying a little brunch out with my book - it‘s really good so far and these tacos are amazing. The delicious tea is magnolia oolong 💕
They just make it so tempting to lie here and read, even when it‘s nice out!
This book is kinda scratching my Judith Krantz itch… totally frothy fun with twists and rich people behaving badly and a tropical island setting.
I *should* be doing about 20 other things but it‘s pouring rain and the cats are very convincing that reading in bed is a good life choice, so I‘m just going to maybe finish this book before I get motivated. (This one is cute! I get a little annoyed with some of her over the top descriptions - I get it, dude is large, you have a crush - but it also made me go awwww and fondly remember being pregnant,… 22 years ago!!)

2- Not really. I think relationships are more about the work you put into them than a magical “right” person, and no one gets a perfect match.
3 - I‘m not a big Valentine‘s person so I guess just a nice dinner? Maybe get dressed up and get some compliments? 😂

Read this whole book, working on A Single Thread for book club (which I doubt will happen because more ice is predicted overnight). The bed was made and a lot of laundry and dishes done. Baked cookies and frozen pizzas, have clearly NOT brushed my hair or put on zipper pants, lots of kitty time and some yoga. I‘m in my element and my husband has gone stir crazy. 🤪
We‘ve been hibernating this week - it‘s rainy and so windy I keep thinking the house is going to blow to Oz 😂
So I‘ve been getting some solid reading time with some really good books. So far this is hilarious and sad and SO WEIRD.
Lovely beach walk today, but we didn‘t outrun this “distant” storm 😅 …. It was awfully nice to come home to put on dry clothes and read a few chapters of this ARC (which is giving me Starless Sea vibes 🥰)
Stopped by the bookstore after dinner out today and picked this up on a whim - it‘s a little spooky already and so far a great fuzzy blanket/cat lap read 😸
