so-soI had originally talked myself out of adding this one to my #BOTM box, because I didn‘t love The Hacienda, but I wanted a #SpookySeasonRead. It starts off very slowly & relies quite a bit on coincidence. The exact nature of the possession gets muddled & the romance just felt so implausible to me… I just wanted more depth from the characters though the plot does hold some surprises & some creepy moments. It just wasn‘t quite as scary as I hoped!
so-soI liked this dog puzzle so much more than this novel. I felt like the author made very little effort with this one. It‘s gory and violent for no reason. #BOTM
My #BOTM books have arrived and I finished the reading challenge, so the book sleeve came, too. I love the idea of the sleeve, but I wish they had made it just a tiny bit bigger, as you have to kind of cram to get a book in (it‘s tight on the top and bottom edges). And if the idea of a sleeve is to protect a book, why damage the book taking it in or out of the sleeve?
