I enjoyed this #botm backlog (from 2017!) for my February #doublespin and #Roll100. Happy to move it along to a new reader.

PuddleJumper Yay! Clearing backlog feels great 8h

Oh, man… Undoubtedly an unforgettable read showcasing the beauty and brutality of the Alaskan wilderness. It certainly left its mark on me, but it hurts. I preferred “The Snow Child” by this author. #BOTM

BirdLaVie Beautiful pic of this grotesque work lol 16h
ICantImReading @BirdLaVie Thank you! It was mesmerizing in its ways, but darker and more emotional than I had anticipated! (edited) 14h

I had high hopes for this as I loved Black Cake, but I was kind of frustrated with it and coincidences that kept happening.

It‘s not really my kind of book, I prefer heavier literary fiction and science fiction over historical fiction and romantic storylines, but I did enjoy the historical parts more than the modern day parts.

The book is about a jar made by an enslaved potter, a murder, and a wedding that doesn‘t go to plan.

Low pick. I actually read my #botm the month I got it!

This one could have benefited from being in both MCs head. It got exhausting being in only Ada‘s head.

I had some issues, but overall I did like this one.

Last book I read in January. I‘ve enjoyed all of her novels, this one maybe a bit less than the others. Austin has a special ability to relate vulnerability and despair with such gentleness and humor. A very special writer! Triggers for suicidal ideation. #BOTM

I didn‘t like the twists and turns tbh. By time I got to the 3rd part of the book I was pretty spent. I wanted to relate to the characters more than I did. There was some endearing parts. This book was just OK to me. #botm

Action, adventure, sci-fi, romance… there‘s a little bit for everyone with this! The strength of this book for me was in the found family element - the main characters‘ love for each other tugged at my heartstrings. It‘s not my favorite book from this author, but I still had a good time. #BOTM

Kenyazero This is the second time today that this book has crossed my path. Guess I'll have to read it soon! 1w
