I enjoyed this #botm backlog (from 2017!) for my February #doublespin and #Roll100. Happy to move it along to a new reader.

Oh, man… Undoubtedly an unforgettable read showcasing the beauty and brutality of the Alaskan wilderness. It certainly left its mark on me, but it hurts. I preferred “The Snow Child” by this author. #BOTM

I had high hopes for this as I loved Black Cake, but I was kind of frustrated with it and coincidences that kept happening.
It‘s not really my kind of book, I prefer heavier literary fiction and science fiction over historical fiction and romantic storylines, but I did enjoy the historical parts more than the modern day parts.
The book is about a jar made by an enslaved potter, a murder, and a wedding that doesn‘t go to plan.

I didn‘t like the twists and turns tbh. By time I got to the 3rd part of the book I was pretty spent. I wanted to relate to the characters more than I did. There was some endearing parts. This book was just OK to me. #botm

Action, adventure, sci-fi, romance… there‘s a little bit for everyone with this! The strength of this book for me was in the found family element - the main characters‘ love for each other tugged at my heartstrings. It‘s not my favorite book from this author, but I still had a good time. #BOTM
