My #BOTM choice came in the mail today. Love book mail. 💙📘📪

Ostensibly a quick read, this April #BOTM pick took me longer to get through than I expected. It‘s a dark book— it reminded me a bit of SHARP OBJECTS but without the balance & even more emphasis on addiction, abuse & an awkwardly inserted romantic plot. If I was from NE/SD, I‘m not sure I would enjoy this portrayal either… Providence‘s return to join the search for her mother did capture my interest but the conclusion wasn‘t satisfying to me.

I skipped for the 2nd month in a row for May! None of the picks interested me, although there are about a million new releases in May from my TBR that weren't #botm picks 😂 I do still have a bunch of older BOTM books on my TBR shelf that I should be catching up on...

#BOTM is here! I cracked and got The Man Made of Smoke so I could get the add-ons I really wanted and I had massive FOMO about not picking up Wild Dark Shore before.
Piper thinks we need to take our lunch break so we can read.

Choosing this recent #BOTM pick as my #FictionalTraveler selection for May #SpanishSpeaking as it‘s set in Guatemala. It‘s also one of my #Roll100 May picks #4: Any BOTM.
