A really fascinating thriller focusing on a kidnapping survivor turned police officer. I hadn‘t read any other book in the series and was able to pick this up without any difficulty. This is a belated #netgalley ready, so thank you NetGalley! #readyourkindle
Book‘s not in the database… An interesting take on a pandemic thriller set on my favorite vacation island from my childhood. Kelly‘s Island in Lake Erie. The story was great, but it could have used another run through with an editor for a couple characters that felt a stereotyped. #readyourkindle
This was a chilling dual-timeline book that was perhaps a little too grim for me to be reading this week. I‘m reading through a backlog of old #netgalley requests, so also thanks to NetGalley for this book. #readyourkindle
1. Reading

This book had an interesting concept, as a blend of true crime and fiction, but it didn‘t quite work for me. Between a pick and a so-so because I‘d love to see what the author does next.
This is my #bookspin, which I‘m already partially through before the spin (yay)! Hoping to read both this month. Thanks as always @TheAromaofBooks
An interesting premise for a thriller. Neva is a hired killer, who finds herself the target of a colleague‘s next hit. While trying to save herself, she uncovers a massive conspiracy. Thanks to #netgalley for this read!
Pretty good for my #Readyourkindle for October. 3 out of 4 books read!
Here are my books for November‘s #readyourkindle #readyourbooks. Thanks @CBee
A thoughtful look at how you can shape your attitude and mental health through daily and weekly rituals. #bookspin
Another amazing book from Rivers Solomon. It‘s been on my kindle forever, so glad I finally got a chance to read it! #readyourkindle #readyourbooks
A great continuation of the series!
This book is between a pick and a so/so for me. I think that Allessandra really forgave her husband too quickly and they both could have used some serious couple‘s counseling.
Another great slow-burn, second-chance romance by Mariana Zapata.
A great second book in the series! I can‘t wait for the next book. I‘ve been home sick this whole week with pneumonia so I‘ve gotten some quality reading in.
A very sweet prequel novel from Penny Reid‘s Green Valley universe
A fun start to a YA series about a teen who has always known she was destined to go to space and save the world. It‘s also one of my #readyourkindle books from last month.
A cute and complex story of woman finding her family and place in the world (with a lot of magic thrown in) my first #readyourkindle book for this month is completed.
My #readyourkindle books for October. Thanks @CBee for organizing!
This book just rubbed me the wrong way. From the moment the heroine starts her first class and discusses how useless and stupid Anthropology is and the hero gets all his friends to lie to her face over and over again, I just couldn‘t root for either one of them. They deserved each other.
Since this book wasn‘t listed, I chose the prequel as my review spot. Alice Coldbreath does it again! A wonderfully thoughtful look at a second chance romance. 💕
My #bookspin and my #doublespin for October! The first is very appropriate as this is the first night of Rosh Hashanah (although my husband has to work so we‘re not celebrating until tmo) thanks @TheAromaofBooks for organizing!
Getting in some reading while my daughter and a friend Bounce!
A gripping, heartbreaking and at times hopeful look at the woman of California‘s Penal system who are on the front lines of firefighting. Thanks #netgally for the arc!
A really sweet and realistic enemies to lovers romance. I love how this author really has her characters grow in realistic ways
A love a visit back into this weird and sweet world, and the friends to lovers romance between Twyla and Frank was just so wonderful!
One down for my #readyourkindle books for Sept. this book was a fascinating look at the science of poisons and their historical uses (both medically beneficial and murderous)
My birthday gift this year was a B&N gift card and a day to myself. Check out my birthday book haul!
Wildfires, poison and global warming! Quite the extreme set of books for my #readyourkindle #readyourbooks thanks @CBee for organizing!
I read 2 of 4 of my #readyourkindle spins. Not too shabby! Thanks @CBee
Her‘s my #bookspin & #doublespin. I love the title of the double spin book! Thanks for organizing @TheAromaofBooks
A contemporary marriage of convenience that really worked for me. I loved the development of the relationship between Lily and Sebastian! #romantsy
Here‘s my list for #readyourkindle #readyourbooks! I read 2 of my 4 books from last month. Can‘t wait for this month! @CBee
I‘m almost done with my #doublespin so I‘ll see if I can get it finished by tomorrow night. My updated list for September is looking pretty good! #bookspin #bookspinbingo #doublespin @TheAromaofBooks
This was a really fun “locked room” mystery. A group of college aged kids in a Mystery Writers Club go to spend the week on an island that was the scene of a gristly multiple homicide. #readyourkindle #readyourshelves
