This book is the first in a series about a rich playboy, who is set to inherit a hotel chain, and a nieve young woman who knocks him off his feet. At first, I struggled to get into the story. I was not a fan of Abbi at first. Yet she grew on me as her character developed and become more independent. I didn't like that this ended in such a huge cliffhanger. Thank goodness that the series is complete or I would be grinding my teeth.

TBH highly disappointed in lack of FMC growth & substantial plot in Bond That Burns until the last 25%. At least that is one of my #readyourkindle down for the month. Highly recommend the audiobook for tagged. The narrator was phenomenal! The #netgalley #arc was my favorite. Unique in a genre thats heavily overpopulated now with so much action/political drama.

I read this a little while ago and it‘s one of those that has some good things about it (the women, the friendships, the writing) that keep you reading but overall is pretty meh. It felt too rushed and the backdrop of covid and the father‘s illness felt like it was an afterthought as to how to get old friends back together - it just didn‘t feel like a fully realised novel. #readyourkindle

First initial review was four stars because I felt like the ending was a bit too tidy and somewhat unrealistic. THEN I read this part of the author‘s note - bumped it right up to five stars. Honestly, it was a fantastic read and I flew through it. Beware of multiple TW. #readyourkindle
