pickFirst initial review was four stars because I felt like the ending was a bit too tidy and somewhat unrealistic. THEN I read this part of the author‘s note - bumped it right up to five stars. Honestly, it was a fantastic read and I flew through it. Beware of multiple TW. #readyourkindle
pickOkay, I really enjoyed this novel! Loretta, a 50‘s housewife who pretty much has little freedom due to a religious and overbearing husband starts to experience paranormal gifts. Her husband suspects she‘s been possessed by the Devil. The story itself was pretty predictable, but I didn‘t mind because I enjoyed several of the characters and the writing was great! There are very graphic themes, but is also very empowering and kept me hooked 😁
I can‘t speak highly enough of this book.
I‘m very much a mood reader, so it‘s difficult for me to plan a reading list. 🤷🏻♀️
UNPUTDOWNABLE read, set in 1950s America!
Loretta Davenport is a young mother and wife to Pete, an ambitious assistant professor at a Bible college. Their seemingly idyllic life takes a sinister turn when a local girl is murdered, and Loretta begins to receive messages from the beyond.
This is a 5 🌟, must-read for horror, paranormal thriller readers!
As much as I loved THE WITH OF TIN MOUNTAIN by this author I have to whole heartedly admit that this book is her best yet. It had me reading until the wee hours of the night. I literally did not want to put this book down. It will be in my top ten of the year I have no doubt.
