So my goal this year was to read 80 books (kindle, audio & physical) from my TBR. My one rule is it had to be purchased 2023 or earlier. This cut my unread books down by a third so I‘m going for it again this year! #readyourkindle and #bookspin were a big help in staying motivated. Thanks to @TheAromaofBooks & @CBee for organizing the challenges.

Just under the wire, but I‘ve finally completed all three #readdinggoals I set in #storygraph
Still some reading to do in these final days of the year, tho, so I‘m sure at least page count and total books may go up, but I think my audiobook stats may not change between now and Tuesday evening. We‘ll see, I guess. 😄

I was just checking my challenges and goals on #storygraph today and noticed that I recently (probably some time last month) surpassed my yearly books goal. I‘ve still got a bit to go on pages (will definitely meet by end of the month) and I didn‘t set an hours goal for audiobooks (tho will do so next year!)
I honestly didn‘t think I‘d meet the goal this year - it is def my highest ever I think… 😆 #readinggoals

My biggest reading year ever! I wasn't originally trying to get to 100 books, but once I got close, I knew I had to try.

CuriousG I like the "just be content wherever we land" attitude. The last few years I have probably read half the amount that I did in the few years before that, yet I don't feel I've missed out on anything as I've also started DNFing more ruthlessly. Even reading less, I still read about the same # or 4+ star books. ? 2y

JamieArc @CuriousG I agree with you. I‘m 4 books from 100 (and have been there for days), and was going to try really hard to finish the last 4, but it‘s not going to happen so I did the unthinkable thing and decided to be okay with that 😂 2y

Billypar @CuriousG Yeah - it's easy to get into a mentality where you choose a mediocre book over a podcast you really like for the sake of the goal. My count has dipped a bit in recent years since I stopped making that tradeoff. But I'm still so bad at bailing when i should. I bailed on one recently and it was such a relief! 2y

Reading goals met! 📚🎉📚 (tho these aren‘t super final lol)
I‘m blown away by how much I exceeded my books goal - will have to thank audiobooks while working for sure (and getting back into comics)😅
I actually lowered my pages goal in October (from 135k) cause I was sure I wasn‘t going to make it - and I was right, but I‘m not so far off. Next year I‘ll go back to 135k and be intentional about reading more chunksters.

Aside from the usual #mounttbr goals I set and the #storygraph challenges I joined, these three reading challenges were my main focus this year. I just finished the book riot challenge today and I‘m feeling pretty accomplished 😄
