Hitchhiking and being picked up by an upstanding citizen was definitely pure luck for Cassandra.
The man who picked her up found her bleeding and dazed and without a memory of who she was or what happened to her.
A well-crafted psychological thriller with lots of surprises and a twist you can‘t imagine happening.

1890 - We meet Annie who was sent to San Quentin on a false claim of grand larceny because her employer‘s nephew tricked her and denied he gave her the ring she was accused of stealing.
1972 - We meet Judy who takes on the task of finding herself and also finding out about Annie‘s life.
A marvelous read you won‘t be able to put down because of the characters, their stories, and especially if you are a fan of historical fiction. 5/5

A text from Drew?
How could that be - he left and has passed away.
Computer geeks and mystery fans will enjoy this book even though it‘s a bit frightening what can be found and hacked.
Lots of secrets, illegal transactions, shady characters, and a few unrealistic but good things that do happen.
This was my first book by this author, and I truly enjoyed it. 4/5

Did I cause Jamie‘s death?
Was he that distraught after we broke up that he killed himself after seeing me at the party?
He didn‘t seem upset, and we had a brief, cordial chat.
A few minutes after Jamie left the party, a gunshot is heard, and then a blaring horn.
THE LAST TIME I SAW HIM was told by Kiki, Jamie‘s ex-girlfriend, and was a bit slow, but a good mystery with a few surprises. P4/5
