Leap Year
Leap Year: How small steps can make a giant difference | Helen Russell
3 posts | 2 read | 3 to read
FROM THE BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE YEAR OF LIVING DANISHLY - How to make big decisions, be more resilient, and change your life for good. Having spent the last few years in Denmark uncovering the secrets of the happiest country in the world, Helen Russell knows it's time to move back to the UK. She thinks. Maybe. Or maybe that's a terrible idea? Like many of us, she suffers from chronic indecision and a fear of change. So she decides to give herself a year for an experiment: to overhaul every area of her life, learn how to embrace change, and become a lean, mean decision-making machine. From how to cope with changing work lives and evolving relationships, to how we feel about our bodies, money and well-being, Helen investigates the benefits of new beginnings, the secrets of decisive people and what makes changes last - and uncovers the practical life lessons we can all use thrive when change is afoot - and inject some freshness and magic if it's not.

There‘s still a few more hours to February, but I don‘t think I‘ll finish anything else today. #wrapup
-The Hand on the Wall (M Johnson) ⏱🗻
-A Long Petal of the Sea (Allende) 🇪🇸🇨🇱
-The Proposal (Guillory) ⚾️❤️
-The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (Christie) 🔪
-The Underground Railroad (Whitehead) 🚂💔
-A Share in Death (Crombie) 🇬🇧
Just one off the pace for my goal for the year but no worries.

Here‘s my #LeapYear #BookReport
Was hoping to have an uninterrupted day of nothingness but that wasn‘t the case🙄
So I head into March with a few books in progress: I‘m really LOVING Saint X on audio and A Homemade Life is lite & fluffy but print would be better as the audio does not include the recipes (they sound incredible 😋)
I officially bailed on Wolf Hall but hope the others will continue #ConqueringCromwell ⚔️
Books read were all good 🧡

LeahBergen I looooved Wolf Hall. 😆😆 5y
Cinfhen Totally NOT surprised @LeahBergen 😉 5y
Centique @LeahBergen me too! We‘ll convert Cindy one day 😍😂 5y

Cinfhen I still need to attempt the other chunkster I bought because of you @Centique 5y
Centique @Cinfhen I think we both bought it at the same time, inspired by somebody else. It was really good! When you‘re in the mood to be completely immersed in the nineteenth century 😊 5y
Cinfhen Oh you‘re right @Centique it‘s @Kalalalatja that LOVES that back 💓 5y
Kalalalatja The Crimson Petal is amazing, and somehow I had gotten it into my head, that you had read it recently. But maybe I confused it with having bought the book 😅 5y
Cinfhen Nope!!! It‘s still haunting me from the nightstand @Kalalalatja it‘s SUCH a #Chunkster 5y
Kalalalatja I promise you, the pages will fly by, and I‘m pretty sure @Reviewsbylola and @emilyhaldi will agree with me (If I remember correctly) 😄 5y
Reviewsbylola Yup! Totally agree with you! 5y
emilyhaldi My only complaint about Crimson Petal is that I wish it was LONGER!!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 @Cinfhen @Kalalalatja @Reviewsbylola 5y
Cinfhen #IfOnly that would be my complaints 🙄 @emilyhaldi @Reviewsbylola @Kalalalatja Maybe this is the month I finally open the book 5y
