I‘m so behind! I think I missed this totally the last month or two. Here‘s my list for October. I didn‘t look at which numbers were spun, so I‘m off to find out. Wish me luck, there are a couple I‘m hoping for.

Had a good reading month in May. I don‘t have a bad word to say about any of these!
I really liked everything I read in April. Have you read any of these? What did you think?
Here‘s my list for May‘s #readyourkindle I feel guilty that I didn‘t get any of my books read recently. Blame the library. I‘ll do better. 🤞🏼
Got an arc in the mail today from HarperCollins. Guess I must have won it somewhere! Always fun. Looks like a good one.
I am so excited to be reading an arc of the new Flavia DeLuce. I thought the series had ended! I screamed when I saw a new one scheduled for September. One of my favorite mystery series. 🚲 🔬
1. Declutterring. Reading.
2. A busy 5 lane road. Which the geese like to walk across. It‘s unnerving.
3. Westland, MI sunny and 69°. Not staying this way much longer. ?
4. Middle grade book by one of my favorite children‘s authors. Also have just a tiny speck left of One Dark Window.
I can‘t reach it right now, but I have a 1943 copy of my favorite book, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith.
I‘m trying to get more active on Litsy again, and #CampLitsy24 sounds like just the ticket. Here are four books that are high on my list”want to read” list for summer!

Jenny Lawson does a craft night on zoom once every few months for subscribers to her Fantastic Strangelings” book club.
My son and fam are going to Rome, Greece, Turkey and Malta!
Always great to have my sister closer again.
The four books spun by @CBee for #readyourkindle / #readyourebooks this month. Hoping I can get to some! Library holds have been coming in fast and furious.
1. I just got an e-arc for the tagged book (sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea)
And I am very excited. It comes out in September, but I can‘t wait!
2. I don‘t. I‘ve got so many books. But, give me a week or so.

I only managed to read one off my Kindle list in March. Am I supposed to add another?
*On my front porch when it‘s nice outside.
*Flavia DeLuce. Flavia is 11, and rides her bike around the town, discovering amazing crimes and clues.
*There are two. Winnie the Pooh and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
*The one I wanted to recommend is St. Martin‘s (darn it), so I‘ll say The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Amazing book.
*I hate people reading on an E-reader in a public place. I‘m nosy! I need to know what they are reading!
A little over 50% done and I can‘t put it down.
@rachelsbrittain
I read 6 books in February and liked them all. Have you read any of these?
I skipped last month, so I went a little crazy this month. #botm
I‘m not a big sports fan. My family tho… My oldest son was a kids‘ football coach and director of the city league. His oldest son works at the minor league hockey stadium and drives the Zamboni for games. His next younger brother is the starting left tackle for the Northwestern University football team. He had offers from 16 schools, including 6 in the Big Ten. His younger brother plays football for his high school. More……
I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It‘s middle grade, so a fast read, but what an impact! (IYKYK)
If you can get your hands on this book, please do! 5 stars +100 more!
I need to read my Kindle books so badly! I hope you‘ll add me to the participants @CBee
These are only books someone has highly recommended. Barely a dent in the Kindlepopolis.
I edited the picture. Forgot that they had to be square!

It was February 2001. So, 23 years ago. I have moved 10 times in my life. I can draw a 13 mile circle and every house is within it.
Ophie‘s Ghosts. Middle grade. Her mother and she must move when white vigilantes burn down their house .
@tbaile34 @TheSpineView
I love stand alone and series equally.
I do not love love. 🤣🤣
I‘m reading an advance copy of The Comfort of Ghosts. I‘ve been reading the Maisie Dobbs series since the first one came out in 2003. This is the last in the series (#18). Jacqueline Winspear has given us a glimpse into Maisie‘s life starting as a young woman during WWI through her life to 1945 as the boys are coming back to England after WWII. I will miss Maisie, but am glad to have a final wrap up of one of my favorite mystery series.
Gulp. Anyone else intimidated by long chapters?
Ophie‘s Ghosts: set in the 1920‘s, Ophie and her mother move from Georgia to Pittsburgh after her father is killed by a white mob. They take jobs as servants in a mansion, where Ophie fully realizes her gift to see and communicate with the dead.
5 stars!!
I‘m starting December with Rachel Maddow‘s Prequel, a book that I‘m sure will be eye opening about history.
My reading wrap-up for April. I just happened to rate them all 4 stars.
Current read. I loved Mickey7 and so far, this one is just as well written and funny. Release date: 3/14
Comes out tomorrow! I read it last week and it‘s my favorite of Grady Hendrix‘s books. I had to close my eyes a few times (like it was a movie with a gory scene and not just words on a page).
Nimona
Lydia Netzer (try her!)
North Woods Law (New Hampshire Conservation Officers)
Nirvana
Norwegian Wood (The Beatles)

I really liked the premise of the book, three couples in a high-end secluded cabin during a fierce storm. Who knew what things awaited them?
But the storm never seemed to be as dire as predicted and neither did the book. I really enjoyed the first three quarters of the book, but it fell flat for me in the last quarter.
My birthday reading!
Before You Knew My Name releases November 1
Look Closer releases July 5. Twisty, twisty, twisty!
Hatchet Island releases June 28. I love this series set in Maine with Game Warden Mike Bowditch.

My father had beautiful rose bushes. That gene missed me. I did plant vegetables one year when I was much younger. Radishes, lettuce, cantelopes, pumpkins, beans. It was great! Never did it again. I‘m Thinking of maybe buying a tomato plant to grow in a pot on my porch.

I realized today I‘d posted this on my TikTok (if you‘re not there, I‘m suzzereadsalot, and BookTok is a blast. Anyway, my BOTM showed up, um….not in great shape. Replacement on the way.
There are so many I want to read!
The Lesbiana‘s Guide to Catholic School
The Sisters Sputnik
are a couple….and the one pictured, A Rip Through Time.
No music. Unless I‘m outside and it‘s provided by the birds.
