4th book of Practical Magic Series, I loved how everything ended, which is Love.
I read this book back in 2021 when it came out but reread the series in chronological order, as follows:

Murder in the Scottish Highlands: A Completely Addictive Cozy Murder Mystery | Dee MacDonald

Though the ending seemed a bit rushed and not as smoothly written as the rest of the book, I‘m still giving this a pick. The quirky characters reminded me a bit of M.C. Beaton‘s Hamish Macbeth series and Lochdubh—if you like that series, try this one.

I liked Ally and would love to see the malt house she renovated and made into a B&B. Good mystery with red herrings. I‘d read another in the series. #52BookClub25 #WrittenInThirdPerson

Teenage Writings | Jane Austen

I had my after dinner chores completed earlier than usual, so I was able to participate in the #hyggehourreadathon tonight. With my weighted blanket and Vladimir, I read a bit more of Jane Austen‘s teenage writings (the Jane Austen House is hosting a virtual discussion of this on Tuesday). So interesting to see her writing evolve!

Current candle burning is Yankee Candle‘s Sicilian Lemon. My mood is relaxed at the moment.

Introducing Skye, whose adoption into the family happened today 😻

She's 2 years 4 months old, and was rescued from a building site about a year ago, where sadly she was being stoned by children 😡 This has made her nervous and scratchy-bitey around children, so she's been a bit of a revolving-door cat for the animal shelter. Luckily, I don't mind the odd mauling, so she's in her forever home now 😊

kspenmoll My guess is when she feels safe with you, she will be fine. It took Em almost a year to be comfortable with my husband-he is 62 and has a male voice. She had been sheltered in a home with men so was skittish and hid from him. Now she follows them everywhere. 1w
