pickI really enjoyed this read. It‘s one of those books that wasn‘t on my radar at all, and I‘m thankful to @Reggie for picking it for #LMPBC. The characters were all loveable, even the unlikeable ones/ones who had very little page time, and I found the ending so charming. I also found the writing extremely insightful about aspects of gay life, particularly the clash between “respectability” and public or open lifestyles. ⬇️ #catsoflitsy
Just to connect for a moment with something lighter than my previous few posts, this dapper gentlecat is Leto, my son's pet, wearing his harness in preparation for an outside walk 🐈⬛
He's a former homeless cat himself (I now realise a connection to previous posts!) and has settled into his forever home very well. He came on a visit to our house at Easter and adjusted very quickly. Sweet little guy 😺

My little personal heated blanket (Hazel) is preventing me from reaching my cross stitch (splayed over the rest of the couch) and my kindle (on the coffee table)!
I decided the best option was to read a short story on the kindle app on my phone, so I‘m starting the tagged.

pickMy work received the ARC of this new sci-fi epic, and I‘ve been devouring every word! Good for fans of Iron Widow and anyone who likes space, mech battles, and revenge. This comes out later this month (the 21st!) and I am so tempted to get myself the fancy edition with sprayed edges.

Just a so-so, I enjoyed some of the stories in this collection more than others but wasn‘t blown away by any of them.
The first one felt so anticlimactic to me, I don‘t think I understood it at all.
Oh well, on to better things or at least something new!

The disadvantage of sitting here with idle hands, I see the dirty spots that need to be spring-cleaned.
