Pip had a mini-seizure this morning, so now Kate is staying close by. We adopted these girls as a bonded pair. I've never seen two female dogs so close to each other. They just about slay me. 🖤🐾🐾🖤

KadaGul On No Pip 😢. I hope she bounces back quickly after her seizure. It's super cute how tight-knit both girls are. For some reason, we ended up adopting all boys. We had two male cats 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ (Ahtish & Deo) and one male dog 🐕‍🦺 (Eryx). Now it's Your Highness Bilge 🐈 (the male) and Ceto 🐈‍⬛ (the only girl). Ceto gets along with everyone. The only one who's a bit of a troublemaker is Your Highness Bilge( Catitude) #Petslife 3w

Thanks, everyone! She's doing better. She has epilepsy and an excellent neurologist and good medications that help keep her seizures to a minimum. It's still not fun to witness, though! 😅 Pip sends her L🐾VE. #metoo 🖤🐾🖤 3w

The main character Garnet has powers associated with gemstones and their characteristics are woven throughout the story. However, the main plot is more about family secrets and power struggles.

I finished up this book after a gorgeous day of hiking with Sietje. 2 waterfalls, 4 miles, over 1500 ft elevation, perfect hiking weather.

I liked the story and the writing though I felt the wrap up was a bit too simplistic.
