I read this recently, and it fits for #rockabye . The first in a cozy mystery series, written by the talented Waldman, features a pregnant amateur sleuth with toddler in tow who sets out to solve a murder. #decdays

The talented Waldman's foray into the cozy mystery world features a snarky MC who wants to solve the hit and run of a preschool director. Did I mention the MC is really, really pregnant? Like third trimester pregnant? I enjoyed this not so much for the mystery but for the sarcasm and wit. The first in the Mommy-Track mystery series...I'll definitely read another.
I'll be discussing this Thursday night with my mystery book group at the library...what fun so far! The MC is snarky, which I absolutely enjoy. This is an older series, so some references (VCR!) are a little outdated.
#paperbackwriter #RockinMay Cozy mysteries are my go-to fluff books, my #palettecleansers. I have tons of them. I chose this one because, not only a first in the series, but it's also by Waldman, who writes amazing historical fiction. If you haven't read Love and Treasure, definitely check it out. My mystery group is reading Nursery Crimes in a few months...I'll see if I like this as much as her historical fiction.
