I adore these characters!! This was fantastic on audio. Exactly what I needed to read right now. I loved seeing how this family has grown and strengthened as a whole and as individuals.

The third book in the Lake in the Clouds series was wonderful. March has built such a lovely community filled with characters I love for all of their qualities— good and bad. I can imagine sitting around a fire pit or canoeing with these people.

The pacing of this book felt really off. Some parts seemed to really be drawn out while others felt more rushed. Aside from that, it's well written and has a very intriguing plot but I don't think I'll continue with the series.

Translates as: In the most beautiful colours

As soon as I layed eyes on this book, I knew I was going to love it. And yes, I did. Maybe even a tiny bit more than expected.
It's a cute and fluffy romance between two trans boys, written by an author who's trans himself. So he knows what he's writing about. And it shows. So beautiful 💖

Here‘s how I did on the #valentinesdayreadathon.

1. I finished a 3 book series for #serieslove2025 which was my goal for this readathon.

2. After I finished a series then I decided to start the tagged book because it‘s one of my #roll100 books and I wasn‘t in the mood for another romance novel. I haven‘t written my review for it yet because I just finished it but I enjoyed it and I‘m looking forward to reading my other #roll100 books now.

After I finished reading all 3 books in the Fueled Obsession series by Amanda Heartley last night, I decided to start this book. I wasn‘t in the mood for another romance novel. I like this book so far. It has spells, invocations, mythology and watercolor images of ocean life. My zodiac sign is Cancer so I‘m a water sign. I‘ve always liked the water. I won‘t be doing the spells or invocations but I think the mythology is interesting.

Final #roll100 read for Feb and also scored a line in #bookspinbingo recovering from surgery and not being able to do anything has its advantages as gives me lots of reading time!

Really enjoyed this, loved the prose, and there were a couple of twists that I did not see coming. Really interesting subject too.

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!!! Hope you are on the mend!! 5d

I generally enjoyed it - even though I know nothing about American football.
However, the allegations by Michael Oher against the Tuohy's last year has definitely tainted the story.
A pick for the writing.

#Read2025

Finished a few days ago, the 4th book from the #AuldLangSpine list of @JacqMac & another really good one that‘s on the dark side. (I‘m sensing a pattern… 😱😂 but I like it!) It‘s also my 3rd pick for February‘s #Roll100 (#42 Any Mystery-although it‘s more dystopian horror thriller than mystery). Bizarre & very brutal murders start happening in every state & a few days later the killers start to mobilize & start reading the names of ⬇️

DebinHawaii …those to be killed on the Emergency Broadcast System. Told from the POV of the husband & father, a family goes in the run when complete madness seems to have taken over. That madness seems to be related to an aurora borealis event that affected those that watched with this urge to kill. It‘s very brutal (if you can‘t read about graphic murders this isn‘t your book) & somewhat disjointed, but that adds to the tension & thrills. ⬇️ (edited) 6d
DebinHawaii … Timing also adds to the chills as with the way the US is currently, it actually feels slightly & uncomfortably plausible. I‘ve somehow only read Dark Matters by Crouch & this is one of his early books, rereleased I think. It‘s not perfect but it certainly kept me tensely reading (& comforting myself with chocolate) & I liked the thrills. (edited) 6d
monalyisha I approve of comfort by chocolate! 6d
