A reread for me and finished up this morning with #Zeke . This is a good start to the Bookmobile Cat mystery series, featuring a librarian, her cat, and murder, and a bookmobile. What I appreciate most is the setting in Michigan and the descriptions used - I‘ve never been to Michigan, but I could envision the town and the countryside. It was fun to revisit this book for my IRL cozy mystery book discussion. #CatsOfLitsy

This is the first book in The Bookmobile Cat Mystery series. I like it well enough to read more. The main character, Minnie, who is the bookmobile librarian, is interesting, and I like Erin Bennett‘s narration.
#bookfitnesschallenge #bfcr3 walking = 1.17 miles (mostly walking to and from restaurants — I‘m at a conference in New Orleans)

It was finally a nice enough day to spent some time outside reading at the train station. YAY!

This is a cozy mystery set in a small town library in Michigan. I like it.

This was my #booked2019 choice for a book reminds me of my happy place. It‘s a cozy mystery, with a cat that “helps” solve the crime, and the majority of it is set on a bookmobile!! I grew up in a very small town and my all time favorite days at school were the days the bookmobile came and the scholastic book fair. It was a solid start to a cozy series. This finishes the quarter for me for this challenge!!

Reading in the Sun Room at Kripalu - you can‘t see it, but through those windows is a gorgeous view of the Berkshires. It‘s been a really gorgeous day, it‘s such a cool place - and I‘m so glad I managed to sneak in some reading time here. 📚❤️🧘‍♂️

SW-T @mcipher Good cozy mystery 😊 6y
Aimeesue Ahhh, Stockbridge in winter! How I don‘t miss that very much at all. Have a great visit though, Kripalu‘s got a beautiful campus. 6y
TiredLibrarian Are you enjoying it there? I've thought about going but haven't yet. 6y

mcipher @SW-T It is! I‘m really enjoying it so far. 6y
mcipher @Aimeesue Oddly there was pretty much no snow, but it was like 5 degrees this morning! ❄️ 🥶 (edited) 6y
mcipher @TiredLibrarian It was really cool, I‘d recommend it! It was much more like a college than I expected - kind of a big modern corporate type building - but the classes were great and the scenery is gorgeous and the food was really good, and it has such a mellow atmosphere. I‘d love to go back and do a multi-day program but it‘s so expensive to stay over. 6y
TiredLibrarian @mcipher Thanks for the description! I'll have to look at their upcoming workshops. 😊 6y
Aimeesue @mcipher That can‘t be making the ski places happy. I grew up in Berkshire County - don‘t miss the winters, but it‘s gorgeous in the fall. 6y
mcipher @tiredlibrarian Awesome! I hope you have fun! 6y
mcipher @Aimeesue It‘s pretty in the winter if you don‘t live there all the time! 😝 But yeah, I bet the ski places are really unhappy, and any of the other winter tourism stuff. 6y

This is between so-so and pick. It was really drawn out where nothing was happening with the mystery. There is a lot about the book mobile tho. There‘s a lot about Eddie the cat too. It‘s enjoyable but lacks something for a cozy mystery. #readwomen #cozymystery

I absolutely adored this book, and have subsequently read 3 more of them since and am on the 5th. Is there a better partnership than Minnie the Librarian and her kitty cat, Eddie? 😍😍

Librarybelle I enjoy the series too! 6y

Minnie Hamilton is a librarian, and driver of the brand new bookmobile. On their first trip she finds a dead body with the help of her cat Eddie. It is the donner who funded the purchase of the bookmobile. Minnie sets out to find the killer with Eddie's help. A really fun read, especially if you love cats being cats, behind the scenes library life, summer in Michigan, and fun local characters. A great cozy.

Starting a new-to-me mystery series focused on a bookmobile librarian and her adventurous cat. Mysteries are my go-to when I'm struggling in life.

This was a fun read. The killer wasn't a really a surprise, but I like that the cat seems to be actively involved in the case - his attitude reminds me of my own born-to-rule Mikey-Cat. And not everything is neatly tied-up with the match-making at the boarding house. And much of it takes place in a library and its bookmobile. Excellent!

BeththeBookDragon Have you read A Man Called Ove? His car, the Feline Annoyance, is pretty cool too 8y
Tanner @bethfriedman906 No, I haven't read that one yet - I'll have to add that one to the TBR! 8y
