DNF at 150 pgs. The teen characters are mostly unrelatable stereotypes. Elena is terrible. The TV show was a vast improvement. Glad I gave it a try, but cannot finish.

Who likes vampire diaries, the originals and legacies? I'm not ready for the series finale and can't read anything being pregnant been making it extra emotional 😂

This was a reread. It was rather blah...

TVD is one of the few instances where I prefer the show to the books. Watched 4 episodes today.

I initially read this because of the Netflix show, but I was very surprised at the few comparisons that the book and show had. While, at first, I was biased toward the show, once I got a few chapters in I instantly fell for the plot (which is a better one than the show, in my opinion) . And I‘m also a HUGE Stelena fan, and the books have more of that.
So, I think if I had to choose between the books or the show, I would have to choose the books!

So uneven on this book level 🤔, anyways so you all watch vampire diaries i did like four times before reading the series. Just when I read this I try morph the TV show into this book im like what , names changes , town isn't called that , and stuff in here happen too quick ,I shouldn't judge the book you know ,im trying open my mind towards the series not the same as tv show,get over it,just continue reading on,and I will.( forgot password here)

I wish I read this when they were first published. Especially before I read Twilight. Now, it seems Twilight is influencing my decision to rate it. I like the fiery Elena more than the brooding Bella. Brothers fighting over Elena makes for a memorable triangle. And I see elements that Meyer took from it to make Twilight - setting of highschool, trying to stay away from girl because the desire is so much. I'll continue reading.

1. I picked Vampire Diaries because a friend of mine used to be obsessed with the show. I also picked Turn of the Screw because I like classics.

2. Werewolf. When my eldest daughter was 2, she told people she was related to wolves. I never told her differently. When she was 9, she came home with a broken heart because a friend told her there were no such things. It was worse than Santa Claus. Also, I am Team Jacob.

Next up...the Shows that got me through college. Both times. Grey‘s was everything for YEARS. I sadly gave it up after Cristina‘s exit. And really stopped watching after Derek‘s death. Torchwood started my obsession with BBC America. And lead to my love of Doctor Who. I‘m still a Huge Supernatural Fan; Dean is Bae. All the rest are bad ass...if you get a chance to watch Sanctuary you should it‘s sooooo goood! #syfy #bookbabe35 #reading

This is the first book series I read, I was about 13 at the time. It was also the first time l binge read books (for a whole week). So it holds a special place in my heart. But even though I read the first few books several times, I never finished the series. Maybe because at some point a ghost writer continued the story and then LJ Smith posted her own version of the ending on the internet. It‘s a whole mess. But I‘m gonna give them another try.

I loved the show so I thought I would finally read the book. I knew going into it that it was way different from what the show was so that wasn't a surprise. I didn't like how Elena was in love with Stefan before they really even got together.

It was hard to imagine Bonnie as a redhead, Elena as a blonde, Caroline as anything other than a friend and a world with out Jeremy.

Overall I say the book was okay. Nothing spectacular though. 3.5🌟

These were so easy to read it was ridiculous. I really had fun with them. Some things. Just clicked in the books in a way the show never achieved.
