Well, it's been a while since I've been active here! I seem to do that quite often, lol. Anyway, I went wayyyyy beyond my reading goal this year! So many good books!!

I went to Barnes & Noble today to go shopping for my birthday! 🎂 🥳 I already had Assassin's Blade and Throne of Glass, so just needed to get books 2-7. I will be reading them in this order, with Assassin's Blade first, and yes! I will also be doing the tandem read! Peep my crochet hooks in the back, lol
I am almost done with Does It Hurt? by H.D. Carlton, and then I will be moving onto the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas !
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have cried more than a few times while reading this book. I don't know if I'll ever get over it. I ❤️ Nesta 😭

I'm not an emotional reader by any means. I have never cried while reading a book.... until this ripped my heart from my chest. I would give this a thousand stars if I could.
My year in books! I set a goal of only 10 books for 2023, since I was still finishing up my Master's program and didn't think I would have any time to read for pleasure outside of assigned reading (8 out of those 21 books were assigned reading). But once I got back into reading, there was no stopping me!

I LOVED ACOTAR! OMG. I wrote a book review over on my goodreads. Can't wait to get to ACOMAF. ❤️🥀
Finally picked this off my tbr shelf and started it today. About 100 pages in already :)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A short and sweet Christmas novella by Willow Winters. Another one of her freebies that I downloaded to my kindle. Only 30 pages long.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the book that got me out of my recent reading slump. I read this around Halloween and it definitely fit the creepy vibes. Loved this psychological thriller and wasn't expecting the plot twist at the end.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5
I didn't really care so much for the pregnancy trope but I appreciate that it contributed to the overall world building for the series. I just wish the Demon King made more than just one appearance. On the other hand, we got to see a lot more of the Witch Owl, which was nice.
⭐️⭐️ out of 5.
I really wanted to like Merciless because Willow has been all over my tiktok lately. She has several of her titles up for grabs for free on her website, so I snagged it for my kindle. I gotta be honest...... I didn't like it. This was not Beauty and the Beast vibes; it was The Joker and Harley Quinn, but not in the fun way. Almost dnf'd it.

This book started a new obsession with the paranormal romance subgenre. No, I will not explain why. If you know, you know! 🤣🤣
This novella was a good, short read. Only 144 pages long. I wasn't as into it until the second half of the book. Satan's Affair gives the readers a nice, in-depth look at one of the Cat and Mouse duet's quirkiest characters.
I wrote a full review about what I think about Hunting Adeline on my goodreads! Overall a fantastic read. I ate it up in about a week.
All in all, it was a great read. I just posted my full review on my goodreads 👀🥀💋🖤 can't wait to grab my book mail later when Hunting Adeline arrives! I'm eager to know what happens next.
Book mail! This dark romance has been getting a lot of hype and my curiosity said, "Just buy it". ??♀️
Gee whiz, I didn't realize I haven't been active in a couple years. Haha, whoopsie! Anyway, since I have such a hard time choosing the next book I read, I made a list of 10 titles so that I can roll a d10 and see what fate decides! #timeflies #readingslump
"Day 6: Book that broke your heart"
My heart aches for the author.
"Day 5: Favorite Classic Novel"
More like a contemporary classic, but still seen as a classic nonetheless. The Kite Runner was such a good read.
"Day 3: Book you Did Not Finish"
Sorry, Orwell. I tried really hard to like this book and get through it but I lost interest about 2/3 of the way through. I have a bookmark in it that's still holding my place but I don't think I'm going to go back to it any time soon.
"Day 2: Favorite Book by your Favorite Writer"
Charlaine Harris created a world I just can't get enough of. I've read all of the Sookie Stackhouse novels and rewatch the True Blood series every summer.
"Day 1: Favorite Book in a Series"
Angels & Demons by Dan Brown, hands down. I read this for the first time in high school and have loved it ever since.
Oh my goddess! I finally finished the series I fell in love with all those years ago. I forgot how much I truly enjoyed reading about the Nerd Herd's 🤓 adventures. This is also the first book EVER to make me cry! I don't get sappy easily when I'm reading but I couldn't help shed a couple of tears. I'm looking forward to reading the Otherworld novellas! 🌒🌕🌘 #ya #youngadult #nerdherd #hon
My thriftbooks.com order arrived! I love buying used books from them. Their used copies are always in good or better condition and only for a few bucks a pop! Free shipping in the US after $10, too. 😎 #usedbooks #bookmail #bookhaul #dianagabaldon #lordjohn
I would be "the Charismatic Love Interest" ???♀️ What about you? ?
I usually aim to finish 5 books in a year, which may not seem like a lot to some of you. This past year has been so hard though so I made a goal to finish at least one book. If I could finish just one book, then that would make me happy. I managed to finish two books this month, however! The small accomplishments matter, too.
Finally finished reading the second book in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. With the help of listening to the audio book during my commutes to and from work anyway! The books are quite long so having them read to me helps a lot or I wouldn't be able to get through them on my own. 😁
I love Hoang's books so much and I hope she writes more! I started this book last week during some down time at work but I haven't had a day to myself where I can just sit and read. Today was that day! I devoured this book in about 11 hours and I don't regret a single minute. The only time I set it down was when I needed a restroom break or for meal times. Every time I picked it back up, I couldn't help but to just read and read and read.
Read with a book light last night, and listened to chilledcow on YouTube. Who else stays up really late just to read??

At the laundromat, waiting for my dryers to finish. #neilgaiman #laundryday #norsemythology
Yoric watches over me as I study Japanese at my desk 🥰
I picked up my copy of Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut because of a project I'm doing about banned books and censorship and I can't help but to smell the pages. Does anyone else love to smell their books? 😁 #kurtvonnegut #oldbooksmell
Time for some erotica... 😁 #erotica #eroticromance #Crossfirenovels #SylviaDay #GideonCross
Decided to start this one finally after staring at it for a while lol. I have so many books going at the same time right now. I feel like I shouldn't have so many books started but I do like having the option to choose which world I want to live in for a little while. #DeborahHarkness #AllSouls #ADiscoveryofWitches #TimesConvert
OMG this book!!! I needed a break from my heavier reading material and this definitely was a perfect novel for it. I gobbled this up in just a few days! Charming, sweet, and it tugged on my heart strings. My inner hopeless romantic is shouting with joy. #thekissquotient #romance #autism #aspergers
Working my first overnight shift in a long time. Slowly making my way through #TheOutsider by #StephenKing. So far, I really like this #murdermystery. I am assuming that the main character may have Dissociative Identity Disorder. I wish the narrator focused more on Coach T than any other character... I really want to get inside this guy's head.
Time to pick up from where I left off. I'm so glad I have more time to read now that the spring semester ended! #thekiterunner #khaledhosseini
