PROTOTYPE 1 is the first yearly anthology from indie publisher Prototype, issued 2019. It's a collection of poetry, essays and images, the quality of which I'm about to test, and if it's good I'll see about getting the later editions.
Doorways is about the experience of homeless women, mixing poetry, essays and photographs of public doorways used as shelter by homeless people. Editor/photographer Bekki Perriman was herself homeless ⬇️
Yesterday was a fun #bookmail day. I came home to a huge box of books!
I am a @storeypub ambassador so I was able to pick the books that I wanted. I love this spring assortments of books.
Most will go into my three @littlefreelibrary after I read them.

#Bookmail! I‘ve been very good about not acquiring new physical books lately, but some just need to be bought! The chunkster is for my Women‘s Prize for NF reading and the Nelson and Rushdie are 2 of my most anticipated books of the year. And I‘d like to pause and note how impactful the Rushdie cover is. The first time I saw it, I gasped. Outstanding cover design!
Friday was turning out to be a crappy day, but when I got home I had #bookmail, and that made everything alright (at least until tomorrow).
