New York, 2060 & Lieutenant Eve Dallas is called in to the scene of a businessman found dead in his apartment. It looks as if Thomas Anders died in the midst of some kinky sex game but was it an accident or murder? Everyone who had a motive has an alibi that checks out including his wife who was on holiday in the tropics. Assignation gone wrong, a random killing or something even more sinister?
I‘d not read any of the others in this series, but despite it being #26, I was able to follow along quite easily and for the most part enjoyed this quite a bit. I did find the sex scenes rather cheesy & unnecessary (*cringe*), and the audiobook reader did fine with the exception of one particular character, in which her choice in voice was awful.
I enjoyed this one as much as the others, but it spoiled itself from the beginning, which kinda sucks. I'd figured it out way early based on something that I think shouldn't have been given away. 🤷♀️
Another great installment in this series 😊I loved the connection to the film Strangers on a Train. One of my favorite Hitchcock movies. I am finishing the marathon with 21 hours and 52 minutes 🎉🎉🎉🎉 #TeamSlaughter Team theme book

I‘m always torn between Roarke and Jaime Fraser being the best fictional husband❤️ But man Roarke just makes a girl sigh ❤️❤️ #TeamSlaughter #scarathlon

My last two books were kinda of meh. I need some time with my favorite series to get me back on track. #TeamSlaughter #scarathlon

Because everyday is a good day for a Eve and Peabody quote.
