The final book in the trilogy, this wraps up the story of Midnight, Texas.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was the best book in the trilogy. I fell in love with the residents of Midnight, and I wish there were more books in the series.

Life has been moving as normal in midnight until forces start converging on the cross roads. The residents don‘t notice until people start committing suicide right under the stoplight and Figi becomes aware of an unknown force. It‘s going to take every last member of Midnight and then some to keep back what is trying to wake up in this last book in the trilogy.

So many plans to read and so many distractions and interruptions that make the plans all for naught. *heavy sigh* I'll catch up to where I'd like to be eventually.
This was my favourite if the trilogy. I hope she writes more.

Sold my first book on Alibris today. Cost me $1. Wanted to sell it for $5, but hundreds of copies were selling for $1.99, so I went with the flow. Got $3.99 in shipping credit, paid $1.65 in fees, shipped for $4.80. So in the end, I paid a few bucks to ship a book to someone. The lesson was worth it though. I might start trying to sell the books I bind and paint. One day, a physical bookstore.

I'm so frustrated, right up to the last 10% this was working up to be one of my favourite Charlaine Harris. She builds up the tension to fever pitch as something stirs under the crossroads. But the boss fight fell completely flat to me. Deflating.
Good story wrapping up various plotlines but rather crammed together as if it was originally meant to be a quartet or quintet rather than a trilogy.
I'm gonna miss the Midnighters! 😭😭 Guess I should move onto the tv show then 😂
So that's the end of day 2 (day one for me since I didn't discover this till last night). Not a great reading day but I got to start Night Shift during my break at work so not all bad. Should be able to catch up with this challenge during day 4/5 since those are my days off! Woooo!!! #25infive
Loved this 3rd and hopefully not final book in the Midnight series.
That was a good way to end the book and the series. Although, Charlaine Harris said that it may not be the end. Either way, I liked how she wrapped up the stories for each character in a neat little bow. #charlaineharris #nightshift #midnighttexas
Having a little downtime before I put the boys to bed. #bookandsnack This is my last carton of ice cream for a while, once this one's gone. 😖 Have to go on a special diet for a bit to get some health issues figured out. At least I don't have to give up reading! #onthebrightside #benandjerry #sundaynight
My reading companion. I‘m 249 pages into the book. I have 137 pages to go. #kitten #charlaineharris #nightshift #catsoflitsy #kittensoflitsy
I'm heading to work now. I'll be there midnight to eleven in the morning, so I won't get to start reading until later tomorrow. I won't get near 24 hours but that's okay. I'll read as much as I can. I've been night shift all week, so it has thrown off my reading. @24in48
I‘m pleased with the ending of the Midnight, Texas trilogy (although according to Harris she did leave it open in case she decided to add more books). I liked the new characters, as well as some familiar faces from the Sookie series. Would I like to read more? Oh yes! But, it was wrapped up nicely without being forced, and some things were left for the reader to imagine. 🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2 out of 5.
My sister got me this little penguin light for Christmas. I‘ve been using him to read at night before I go to sleep. 😍❤️🐧
Late night reading. Since I can‘t sleep, I‘m going to start the third book in this series! This is my actual first book of 2018 that I didn‘t begin in 2017. 👏🏻👏🏻
Such a fantastic series. She links a few of her different series by taking a seemingly lesser character then using them in their own series. Full of mystery, intruge and other worldy stuff. Would recommend:)
This book is the best of the three!! I truly enjoyed learning so much more about the characters and Midnight! I truly hate to see this series end! Maybe a few characters will turn up in other books as well!!
I really feel like Charlaine Harris is hitting her stride with this series. The characters are fleshing out, the story is well formed and succinct, though it did seem anticlimactic. However, it was a ton of fun to read!
It's #FriYAYintro time! 🍊
1. Stephen King, Molly Harper, Sarah Addison Allen, Joe Hill, and Maggie Stiefvater. 📚
2. Everything! I love October! But I really loved the Red Vein Haunt last weekend. 👻
3. YES. Although I scare easily, so it's a little masochist of me. 🎭
4. Dear God, what a choice! Well... I guess shark. If rather die in the ocean than in a jungle or zoo. 🦈
5. 77° so basically perfection. 🌞

I've put off my final visit to Midnight, Texas for too long so I dived in this morning. Definitely my favorite Charlaine Harris series. Also, Fiji shares my maiden name and her sister Kiki shares my nickname (one of my nephews used to call me Aunt Kiki when he was little, but my brother has shortened it to Keeks).Hmm... maybe Kiki Cavanaugh would be a good pen name.

I‘ve started Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero for November book club....but there‘s no reason I can‘t also read a Kindle book concurrently. 😁
Finally the answers I was looking for (from watching the TV show - I'm 2 episodes away from finishing) - the show seems to be a jumble of events from book 1 and 3. Quite happy to see Quinn the WereTiger again ♥️. This was the fastest moving book in the trilogy but CH awkward phrasing struck again and left me like 🙄 I'm so pleased to have knocked thru a series in such a short time - the book slump fog is lifting!
A pick for this 3rd book & the series. Harris wrote it as a trilogy but I'd be happy if she continued. Not my favorite of her series but I liked the characters-both new & those that popped up from other books & the humor. This book gets points for plenty of Quinn 🐯& between the weretigers & Mr. Snuggly (Fiji's snarky😼familiar with special talents), there are cats & #catpeople so I'm using it for today's #septembowie prompt. Max❤️Mr. Snuggly too.
Day 25 #FallIntoBooks #NextUp What's next up this week is finishing up a stack of books I've started: The Road to Jonestown is my current audiobook, Hanna Who Fell From the Sky & Ayurveda Made Easy are for blog reviews, Farmer Boy is for virtual foodie bookclub, Night Shift is a library e-book--due back very soon & Hunger Moon is an #ARC & part of a mystery-thriller series I like. It's another busy week so we'll see how much reading gets done.📚😬
Some very light reading! Got this audio on sale and it's intriguing enough... not a masterpiece of course but I'm not too good for an easy, fun story! #readforfun
Midnight Texas book 3 sees the threat of something nasty under the town's crossroad. Still a reasonably good read but still not grabbing me and refusing to let me go.
I finished reading Night Shift and while I enjoyed it, I found the first two books in the series were more enjoyable.
Eh. I liked the characters but overall this series was just ok for me. I loved Sookie & really liked the Harper books. I'm sad I didn't love it. I did like it more than Aurora Teagarden & I'm curious to see what they did with the show.
When all else fails, dye your hair and read about supernatural things until you feel marginally better
This kid ❤️📖
Gonna give this a whirl 😏
Reading is an escape for me!!! A lot of stressers in my life right now, about to lose my house, lost insurance coverage, and having to move somewhere!!
Sure hope this calms my heart and mind lol
Book 38. I'm just hoping she doesn't drag this series out and kill it like she did the southern vamp series. Still more story to tell so far but don't beat a dead horse. I think one more book could tie everything up nicely.
Oops. Tagged the wrong book last time. Oh there's a lot of problematic bits to this, above all the virginity elements, but I still enjoy a quick trip to this weird small town. #mommyreads #guiltypleasure #supernatural #ebook
I thought her second book suffered middle-book lag before ending on a strong note. The concluding book to the trilogy earned a two-star rating on Goodreads, my first to hand out. The plotting seemed rushed, the characters flattened in the process, and it just missed something I have seen in early Sookie Stackhouse novels. (Heart?)
If I had to point out one flaw, it's lots of telling and no showing. I read it to finish the trilogy.
Absolutely loved this book I'm a sucker for supernatural characters mixed in with some mystery Ms. Harris delivers once again. #fantasy #comicbookchic #witches #supernatural
This wasn't my favorite Charlaine Harris book, but it was a quick read and I Enjoyed it. I'll keep on w the series. ❤️
Lots of action in this one as the town of Midnight is in danger and only one person can save them. A fun and adventurous read as Charlaine always provides. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Moving onto the third offering in the Midnight Texas series. Reading Charlaine's books are like walking into the house of an old friend. Nice and comfortable, you basically know what the perimeters of the visit will be but something unexpected is bound to happen now then.
