The Possession of Natalie Glasgow was so much more than I expected. Possession stories are often repetitive. There can be some enjoyment and comfort in repetition but nothing beats something fresh and new. Hailey Piper takes us in a new direction and packs SO much story and emotion into a very short book. I‘m eager to read more of her work and I can‘t recommend this book enough. #horror #novella #haileypiper

I got this one because my daughters puppy‘s name is Eliot. She seemed to enjoy it but didn‘t ask to hear it again. It was worth checking out from the library for sure but I won‘t be buying a copy. I bet kids really into superheroes would love it though. #librarybooks #childrensbooks

I loved this one. It was my favorite of the library books I picked out for my kid. It had pretty and soft illustrations, it rhymes, it teaches a little about nature (although the idea of wolves hunting bunnies to eat may be a little harsh for some smaller kids - mine likes nature shows so she was fine) and it has a very sweet message. I plan to buy us a copy. #librarybooks

I love Neil Gaiman but I think maybe this one is for kids younger than mine? I really don‘t know. My kid acted bored and I wasn‘t anywhere near as impressed as I usually am with #neilgaiman books.

I picked out library books for my kid. She‘s very picky and won‘t always let me read to her at all (she will yell and kick the book into the floor - she‘s non-verbal so that‘s her way of saying no lol). I am not a fan of parenting books or books made for parents. The advice in them is usually either obvious (at best) or disturbing and dangerous (at worst). They also tend to be mindblowingly sexist. There are a handful I have liked, though and several of them are independently published, including this one. I switched my daughter to the 0-3 year old Little Feminist Book Club Box. I loved all the books she got in her previous boxes and she liked a lot of them but many had too much writing for her attention span. She‘s only 4 and with Dandy Walker Syndrome she can get frustrated and overwhelmed easily even when being read to. She understands it‘s just too much at once sometimes. I guess this person put the date and location of all of the books they purchased in their books. I thought it was interesting. Nothing else is written in the book.

This lovely rash is from my getting accidentally glutened last Friday. I did not use to get these rashes from gluten but apparently they can randomly start happening.
