I've been MIA from Litsy for a month now, because my little Malachi broke his leg three weeks ago. Dealing with a toddler with a broken leg has been a whole other level in parenting. That, with back to school and starting a home business, life has been crazy, with no time for reading.
There's a tropical storm outside today, and Mac is more himself the past few days. That means I get to sit down and start the tagged book! #stormdayreading

pickOof! This book! So many feelings. Aspects of her fertility journey are similar to my own. It feels much less isolating to have proof in your hands that other people have been in similar shoes. There's a lot of humor, but also some history and facts around pregnancy and child birth. All interspersed with her own experiences.

We hit up the beach this morning, before the crowds or the heat of the day. I got a little reading done on my phone while the boys made sand castles. This beach is one of my favorite places in the whole province. #happyplace #nslittens

#JustStarted The audiobook I'm listening to is making me want to continue reading something a bit creepy. Hopefully this will do the trick! Creepy/ scary is not something I usually gravitate to. Lord knows The Winter People creeped me tfo, so I'm optimistic.
#audiobaking this afternoon. Banana loaf is a favorite with my husband and my boys. I threw in some pecans and chocolate chips this time around. I'm enjoying this audio so far. The plot is very engrossing, the narration is just ok in my opinion.
I needed a break from Catherine House, and it's been a while since I've held a physical book in my hands. This one's been screaming at me from the shelf for a couple of weeks now. Time to finish up the series!

Hope everyone has been keeping well! I was laid up with a torn muscle in my calf for a couple of weeks. This past week, I was feeling much better, and was able to finally repaint my front entryway, while listening to this very interesting audiobook. I'm not generally a sci-fi reader, but this one is Moroccan inspired and I'm really loving the rich cultural aspects throughout. #AudioDIYing
Is there such thing as a panda- shifter stereotype? 😆 This book is just what I need right now: funny, engrossing, with some great characters. I didn't realize it was the second book when I checked it out on Libby, so I've also checked out the first to read right after this.

The narration helped pull me through some of the slower sections. I've never listened to Bahni Turpin before, but she may be one of my favorite audiobook narrators now. #audiobaking some chocolate chip muffins. These are getting to be a staple around here. They are so delicious and they don't have a lot of sugar in them, so I don't feel guilty giving them to the kids.

I'm really enjoying this audiobook. I don't feel the same connection I did with Dumplin, but its still fun. My only complaint would be the Millie narrator is narrating in a way that sounds almost aggressive, which took some getting used to.
