Kelly Medina has been so lonely since her son left for university. She strikes up an unlikely friendship with a young mother who has the exact same name. However, Kelly becomes obsessed with the younger woman and her baby boy and things quickly get out of hand. A solid popcorn thriller with a terrific twist.

My next read, When I Was You by Amber Garza. 📚❤️

Total impulse buy, not knowing anything of the book or the author, I judged it by its cover 💯. If you like suspense/domestic mysteries and need a quick read/slump breaker, I would recommend this entirely.

Kelly Medina, a housewife whose son Left for college a year ago, finds out there is another Kelly Medina in town -a young new mother with her whole life ahead of her. what begins as innocent curiosity quickly turns into obsession.

Decided to settle into this one first since it seemed like a quick read and has perfect reviews on here, enjoying it this far, reads very much like Shari Lapena to me. And a Reese‘s football pb cup snack (not a pumpkin yet, but those are THE best).

An unassuming stalker-ish psychological thriller with twists and turns that I didn‘t see coming. Just when you think you know where this is going it shifts...and I had to rewind a little bit to make sure what I thought was happening was really happening. When all the truths come out you‘ll be left satisfied, maybe a little sad, but definitely satisfied.

A dark, twisted and gripping psychological thriller. I couldn‘t quite work out what was and what wasn‘t real. Was it all in the imagination of the main character? I was compelled to keep turning the pages to find out. It‘s well written and cleverly plotted. There are plenty of twists and turns, some of which had me on the edge of my seat whilst others had me cringing behind a cushion. And what an ending, quite the surprise! #Pigeonhole

This book was awesome! Is the main character crazy and imagining things? Or is someone really out to get her? The pages just flow while you try to figure it out. My favorite kind of book and this one delivered!

I‘m totally into this book! It‘s been awhile since I‘ve been able to read this much 🤗!

When I Was You takes the unreliable narrator to the extreme. Kelly doesn‘t know if she can trust herself but wants to. What is actually going on? Kelly thinks she has everything figured out and I did too. We were both wrong. The reader has to read until the end to find out what happened.

Perfect book mail to keep me company on this record breaking day of heat 116 .Tomorrow another scorcher staying Ac blasting a thriller that getting rave reviews in the mail to keep me entertained.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻📚💃🏻

This was a quick read, lots of action. Loved the various perspectives it was written in. There‘s a lot of interesting moral questions in there - what can be seen as self defense? How far can one go and be justified to themselves? Definitely worth the read
