Hello December, my birthday month. Hoping for some great reads and to start working on my physical therapy and start walking on two legs again by the end of the month.
Still reading for the CYBILs panel and sprinkled in some fun books too. @TheAromaofBooks #bookspin
Hello everyone! I‘ve been a little preoccupied getting knee surgery before the holidays and am stuck in a brace until about right after Christmas. Hoping I adjust quickly to my new one legged life as I can‘t weight bear on my right and after I‘ve rested more can focus on reading physical books again. I‘ve been listening to some audio and playing games or watching Tv and movies.
Hoping to write soon too!

Did I post this!? Am I questioning my sanity!? My November list is here and hopefully will go as well as October did. #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks
Omg I had the best time opening this beautiful package from @Gissy which you can see how it looked when I opened it in the upper right corner. What a way to make Friday better! I love all the books, the book cozy, the candle smells divine and I cannot wait to use the new tumbler! I am a sucker for a new journal and list maker and love the small decor and bookmark you outdid yourself!!!! @BookwormAHN #mws
Before I left for my trip I forgot to post that my package for #ModernWitchSwap came! Cannot wait to open it this week! @Gissy @BookwormAHN

Thank you so much Ashley @BookwormAHN for the awesome package! I cannot wait to dive into some fun new reads right in time for the season, use my new tea, pens and washi tape and I love that bracelet and the cause it goes towards!
The chocolate comes just in time for me to set up my bookfair! Much needed! 🥰
Picked up some spooky reads at the public library this weekend. 🥰💀👻🎃
A little look into my small middle school library. I do have more shelves behind the graphic novels which host my nonfiction but otherwise it‘s not too much bigger than a classroom to be honest. I love my environment and my students and honestly even with the loss in my family and falling last week, I made it into work. Some days were hard but my work family and seeing my students makes it all worth it.
My September TBR was sort of easy to make as I didn‘t read about half the books on my August list due to family loss and back to school adjustments. I finally was able to sit and read a bit today and clean which was great and soothing. Getting ready for the turn of the month coming up this week and #bookspin
@TheAromaofBooks
On my first day with students, our family was hit hard with a sudden loss that will affect us for a long time. I am fortunate to have a great support system and I‘m excited for my second year being a middle school librarian.
What I am sharing is that I made an affirmation door inspired by another librarian, called the Book Wrangler, so I‘m gonna share that since it‘s all I have from my first week at school.
Tomorrow is the last day to sign up #litsylove family!!!
Our Fall Swap is back. If you are interested our sign ups end August 15th and the open date is September 24th!

I had a great reading month in July. 20 audiobooks, 16 graphic novels and 6 novels. I also DNF one book due to animal cruelty and experimentation that was just too much.
I am hoping I can keep up in August even with work/school starting back up!
Wow I did it I read a lot of books!!! I‘ll be sharing more of them today when I get back from my appointment. 🥰
Meesh is not like all the other demons, she is obsessed with a fairy princess show, is behind the other demons on fire breathing and lives with her grandmother. When a terrible green liquid turns most of her town into statues, she knows she must turn to the fairies for help. What she finds out is the princess she always thought was perfect has her own flaws and together they must figure out a way to save the demons.
Are you headed off to the beach soon? Here‘s a couple great reads you could take with you!
I finished 6 books and started 3 more and I feel that was pretty good. My plan was to get through as many graphic novels as possible.
Here‘s what I read:
*Amelia Aierwood, Basic Witch
*Fairest of All: A Villains Graphic Novel
*Festival of Shadows: a Japanese Ghost Story
*Greenwild
*The Moth Keep er
*Charisma‘s Turn
What I started:
*Speculation
*The Ojja-Wojja
* Nic Blake and the Remarkables: The Manifestor Prophecy
#deweyjuly
Currently reading:
Charisma‘s Turn by Monique Couvson and illustrated by Amanda Jones is a graphic novel that follows a high school girl named Charisma who is dealing with a lot from school and home.
Nic Blake and the Remarkables: The Manifestor Prophecy by Angie Thomas and narrated by Joniece Abbott-Pratt is about a girl whose life is turned upside down when she finds out her dad has been lying to her all of her life.

I‘m reading for the reverse readathon this weekend. Hoping to crush some of my graphic novel pile from the library. #deweyjuly #deweyrr2023
I‘ve been enjoying healthy salads and middle grade novels this month. Enjoying this adventure story currently.
I read 30 books in June, woot! One for each day basically.
My fave book of the month is easy to pick - We Deserve Monuments by Jas Hammonds @jashammonds is easily the best book I‘ve likely read this year. Such an important story and I was honored to meet the author at ALA this year!
My runner ups were:
The Sun and The Star by Riordan and Oshiro
Fourth Wing by Yarros
I read so many good books but these were the standouts!
July I will be focusing in on my #cybils award reading - mostly elementary and middle grade speculative fiction with some random graphic novels thrown in. I don‘t have a ton of plans besides physical therapy and some family low key plans so hoping to have a fun July full of good books and fun.
@TheAromaofBooks #bookspin
At #alaac23 I was honored to meet the fantastic Jason Reynolds who even shook my hand, he‘s such a fantastic author, role model and human being and I cannot wait to share his latest book with my students.
Also I may have intentionally sat in line very early to make sure I could see him 🤩.
Will be sharing more great memories soon but had to post this first and foremost 🥰.
Thank you so much @Cuilin for the lovely books and gifts! I love everything so much especially the cute pin and socks! Thank you for swapping with me!

Thought I‘d share this awesome author and her project here I love her books and her goal to open an indie bookstore in Indianapolis.

This quote was made by Gov. Pritzker on Twitter when talking about him signing into law our bill to help prevent book bans in our state. It‘s nice to see our state thinking forward instead of backwards and helping to protect our libraries from censorship.
Raided my library today for some new graphic novels, maybe I went a little overboard 😅
Sent off your package today @Cuilin it should get there Monday!
#Naturalitsysummerswap #NLSS @jenniferw88 and @AllDebooks
It‘s so nice to be cozy and comfy and off for the summer and back into reading novels. Enjoying this one and hoping to finish it this week! Loving the chemistry of Will and Nico!
My two favorite audios of the month are big and at the top - I am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter and In the Lives of Puppets.
my fave graphic novel this past month - Tokyo Rose Zero Hour which really dug into some WWII history I was not familiar with and brought to light a story that was so compelling, especially in graphic format.
Hoping to push my reading more this summer!
My TBR for June - I put a bunch of graphic novels on my list to start off the summer mostly. I‘m using the bisexual flag and I‘m excited because my hubby plans to come out as well to family on his birthday 🥰. We have a flag ordered for our house finally as well.

Happy opening day for #LLSGPS !
After crazy traveling for the past few days - a wedding out of town and then quickly back to my father‘s retirement party - I was happy to sit on my couch and open this lovely package from @TheAromaofBooks filled with so many fun goodies and sweet scents and two new books to enjoy over my summer break coming up! Thank you so much for swapping with me!
#litsylove @Deblovestoread
Was out on errands today and picked up my preorder of The Malevolent Seven and The Moth Keeper grabbed my eye which is by the author of the Tea Dragon Society books. 🥰
Hopefully yours arrived safely already @TheAromaofBooks with the holiday weekend I lost track of time, forgot to take a picture and post this. Can‘t wait for opening day now! #LLGPS @Deblovestoread
I missed a book or two in this image and I can‘t figure out which ones 🧐. May is running away and I haven‘t even posted a wrap up of April. Not that I post much on here lately but I do like a good wrap up.
My faves in April would have to be Velvet was the Night, An Appetite for Miracles, and Unfamiliar just filled my little witchy needs.
Hope you all are reading some great books!
Fantastic reading weekend full of great graphic novels and a great audiobook (also a verse book). #awesomeapril @Andrew65
Hoping to read lots of Awesome books 📚 thanks @Andrew65 for the #awesomeapril readathon - sorry I didn‘t participate in March things got a bit busy!
