I‘m glad I read some Litsy reviews that this was a Christian romance. It set up expectations a little differently than it would have. It was wholesome, the mystery not overly complicated, but enough to hold my attention. I was more interested in a side character‘s romance than the protagonists‘ though.

I picked this from my tbr list stored on my kindle bc Goodreads reviews were better than the other I had in mind. Funny how Littens‘ review are different. Goodreads never mentioned it was faith based romance. 🤔 and the reviews were better. We‘ll see…

This Christian thriller/suspense takes place in #Alaska. It was free on Kindle and a pretty good read. But a little faith heavy. Someday I‘ll read the sequels as it‘s part of a series called “Alaskan Courage”.

Not bad but not great either. I liked the setting (Alaska!), the characters, and the small town feel. But something just felt off about it - it seemed like the author repeated things a lot. The mystery/suspense aspect was good but I felt like not much happened until the last 20% of the book. Overall pretty good, it was a nice light read. I'll probably read the sequel.

Laura317 I got lost toward the end with the whole Russian thing. 8y
underthebelljar @Laura317 I did too. It seemed to come out of nowhere. The sequel sounds interesting though. 8y

Taking a chance on this Kindle freebie and starting it tonight. This isn't a genre I normally read but I'm looking for a bit of a different book than I usually read anyway.

Donna_sBookMinute Great synopsis. Sounds good for a freebie. Go for it. 8y
Laura317 I've read this series. I really liked it. The first book was my least favorite, but they get better. I found myself loving the family. It is a good Christian fiction book. 8y
underthebelljar @Donna_sBookMinute So far it's good! 8y
underthebelljar @Laura317 That's good to know, I'll check out the second book. So far I am enjoying it! 8y

Pickpick

Interesting crime thriller with Russian-Alaskan history, diving, and romance combined. Good enough to seek out the rest of the books in the series.
