An early night and I‘m trying to finish my book 📕
This what a bit too much back and forth between characters. Less would have been more in this case, but was still a great read

Not bad. Not great but not bad. It's a fun escape with a decent mystery. I'd recommend reading an ebook or paper copy over the audiobook.
As usual, my planned tbr has gone out the window this month, and I've just been reading and listening to YA of different genres. Please share any recs you might have, especially for horror.
By far my least favorite of this author. The “super shocking twisty final line” left more unnecessary questions to a book with a couple plot holes that left it feeling unresolved. If you‘re going to “shock” me at least make it make sense.
A very good YA thriller…best last line ever!

Book 21🎧
I wish I enjoyed this one more☹️ it could be due to my sporadic attention..who knows🤷🏼♀️😂
But I ❤️❤️❤️ Kirby Heyborne and could listen to him tell any story - so that made it better😉
I just started reading this book but so far I really like it! I can kinda relate to something in this book so far, these two teens moved to a different place from there home town and this summer I did that. I was really shocked when they first saw a dead body on the road on there way to there new home. I really enjoy this book so far it has a lot of surprises to keep you reading!!
4✨ I was very engaged throughout this story. They throw a lot of potentials at you. Is it one killer or are there several? It kept me guessing until the very end with small secrets as well.
When it comes to reading, July hasn't been very good to me. Yet. One of the only books I really enjoyed so far, is this one. I almost got addicted to it. McManus wrote another YA thriller, that's really thrilling - I couldn't stop reading, and yes, this one is my favourite book by her so far. She kept me on asking myself what happened, making up theories, looking out for whoever has a motive.

Decompressing from a looong work day with some candlelight reading🕯📖
It's taking me a really long time to get through this one. I've been jumping in and out for weeks, pretty much only gravitating towards it when I'm between other books. It's a pretty good mystery though. Idk why I can't fully invest.

Echo Ridge is a town on the Canadian border and had its first tragic loss in 1995 when high school senior Sarah Corcoran vanished. Then homecoming queen Lacey Kilduff was found dead in Murderland Halloween park. Two dead HomecomingQueens. 5 years later. Is the killer back? Echo Ridge is not a good place to be popular. Kept me guessing until the very end. Characters are very believable. Recommended.
11/15/2020 Meh. This one was ok. I really enjoyed one of us is lying and I really wanted to like this one, but it was really just ok. I didn‘t love it but I didn‘t hate it either.
It was fine? I wasn‘t blown away by it but it was a solid thriller to help pass some time at work.
I was halfway through when I realized one of the narrators for the tagged book also narrated part of Gone Girl. I would listen to more books Kirby Heyborne reads 🎧👍 #BookSpinBingo
I‘ve had this one on my TBR for awhile and I find that a solid YA is exactly what helps cleanse the palate. Especially asI‘ve been working my way through some heavy subjects before the end of the year.
I enjoyed this book! Not as much as the other books by her I‘ve read but I liked it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow! Loved it! I never guessed the ending. I also love when 2 different mysteries are going on simultaneously, keeps me more interested. I thought this story was believable, but even if it wasn't, that's the whole point of fiction thriller! It doesn't have to be real or believable! My favorite part about reading is being able to escape to worlds that are far fetched and soo unlike the real world. If I wanted that I could turn on the news! 5/5stars
⭐️⭐️⭐️ My fundamental issue with thrillers is that they‘re often too unrealistic, but try to pass as believable. There‘s way too much weird - and convenient - shit going down in Echo Ridge, buuut I still needed to know wtf happened to those beautiful homecoming queens. I didn‘t love the story, but McManus is good at keeping those pages turning.

Off to a good start! Hypothesis: I read books much faster on my kindle 🤔
This one kept my attention and had consistent action. The reveal was a bit ‘meh‘ but at least closed all the boxes.

I wasn‘t as successful in October as I would have hoped. But I'm trying to pressure myself a little less and allow myself to just be okay with what I am enjoying in the moment.

In literature, great first lines seem to get all the love. This book, though, has an #unforgettable last line! At least I think so!

I devour these books! I love the mysteries and this one was no exception. Always a nice light mystery with great characters and teen life. And the ending! So clever.
#BookMail part 2.

4 books for me and 2 for my #hauntedhallowswap recipient. What could they be? 👻
Such an exciting book! But it has nothing to do with the first story of Karen McManus.
“All of Fright Farm‘s success is based on how much people love to be scared in a controlled environment. There‘s something deeply, fundamentally satisfying about confronting a monster and escaping unscathed.
Real monsters aren‘t anything like that. They don‘t let go.”
Next book from library #librarybook I love the first book by McManus, so I hope this one will also so good. The bookmark is from my sweetheart. I love it so much. It's two-sided with stars and planets. #bookmark
It‘s been a hard month, I was very poorly, but I think I‘m finally on the mend. Started this book , What do you think about this one? I‘m not sure where this is going.
#audiobook Oh man, I loved this book. It was a great audio listen as well.
Really loved this book. Surprisingly I didnt guess the murder'...
Probably going to order her other 2 books.🤗
Started this one today. Have had it in my TBR stack for awhile now.
When I finished this book, I didn't know what to think of it. After reading the author's One of Us is Lying, I was anticipating something equally as appealing with a great ending...however, I was left reading this bland book with a boring ending.
45-2020 ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I'm really linking this author's work...cant wait to read more
Listening to my audiobook while enjoying an afternoon snack.
“Missing girls don‘t come home in Echo Ridge.”
Second book by Karen McManus, and again, I‘m impressed. She has a knack for suspense and twist endings. I love how she ties all of the loose ends together throughout the story, without giving away the end. Definitely a good read!
This was my first audiobook (ever) so it was a little different experience for me. It‘s a change from having the book in your hands.
Creepy right through the very last sentence! Definitely recommend for mystery lovers YA and adult. I wish it had taken longer to read. 😂
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Amazing writing and loved this story. I love every book Karen McManus has written! I didn‘t predict it at all but it was so well written and kept me in the edge of my seat that I kept making predictions even though each one was incorrect. Quick read. Loved it! I also loved the narrators (Sophie Amoss and Kirby Heyborne)

Pork buns and mystery today, and then I'll get back to what I'm supposed to be doing. Right? Let's hope. #currentlyreading #ya
My read on the bus during my most recent trip. Good story, author has good pacing and the ending? Did not expect that, wow.
Ellery knows all about secrets. Her mother has them; her grandmother does too & the longer she's in Echo Ridge, the clearer it becomes that everyone there is hiding something. The thing is, secrets are dangerous & most people aren't good at keeping them. Which is why in Echo Ridge, it's safest to keep your secrets to yourself.(Goodreads)

I definitely enjoyed this book! Karen M. McManus knows how to string you along through a story and then, just when you think you know what's up, she throws a wrench in that you didn't see coming.
