Today was my birthday! Kept it super low key, lazy morning, a massage that my mom had gifted me, and dinner in a cute little snow globe set up. I took tomorrow off of work so my extended celebration plans are to curl up with books and my cat 😊

Today birthday book haul. I hadn‘t been to Barnes & Nobles in months. It was so nice to just walk around and pick out what called to me. Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes as well as my #litsylove cards!

Welp, I fell for #BOTM‘s BFF birthday gift and picked two books for May. Can‘t let that freebie go to waste, right? 🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ I am a sucker for biblical historical fiction (one of my favorites is Mary, Called Magdalene by Margaret George, who is a beautiful soul, btw. Love her!) and The Paris Hours, while not my favorite time period or location, has gotten a lot of love on Litsy. 💖

Yesterday I spoiled myself with book orders from an indie press (Rabbit Room) & Bookshop.org (to support my favorite local indie/used bookseller who‘s closed until further notice due to California‘s shelter-in-place order. It was a bit of a splurge for me, but I had birthday money from my MIL and am trying to support indie as much as possible right now!

This photo is really courtesy of @Crazeedi - it‘s her talented hands that created my lovely bookmarks, and her thoughtfulness in sending me a beautiful crystal suncatcher, along with a pretty bookmark with a scene in 3D relief. Then, she added three books (how very clever sending me books by Minette Walters—so close to my name!) that I cannot wait to read. You did TOO much for me, Diane! I love you!! 😘💕

I am blown away by your generosity... and your great taste! The mugs are so beautiful, and the calendar is one of the prettiest I have seen....so much so that hubby and I have already decided to save our favorite city illustrations and frame them afterwards!

I have truly had the best birthday, and I‘ve been at work! 😂 (at Barnes & Noble so it did include books!) Off out soon to my favorite restaurant to top off a day filled with joy!

We‘ve had a lot to celebrate this week. His Health insurance approved him for the new CF medication that the FDA approved (it costs $300,000 per year!😳) It truly could be life changing for us. I‘m so grateful.... a great end to an awful year for him 💕😍

Today is my birthday 🥳 and these are the books my girlfriend got me!

Thank so much for your good wishes and comments during my birthday! Besides some family matters I took care in the morning, I went to see the movie Joker, I bought some gifts from me to me and of course I went to the bookstore where I spent my credit points in books! It was a happy day! A big hug to all of you😍😘❤️❤️❤️❤️The cookie🍪was my symbolic cake😂

Do you remember last year?I was charging my phone in a mall & I lost my glasses.One year after Hurricane María, everything is different.The person who took my order at Starbucks wrote Happy Birthday in Spanish in my pumpkin loaf?☕️These are the books I'm currently reading, well I'm also reading 2 mores but they are at home. I bought some bookish items from me to me and I will buy a book. I'm also buying for my #AllHallowsReadSwap match.

I have been enjoying my birthday today for many reasons...
1. Although I spent another 6 hours today moving my classroom for next year (after two days of doing the same), I am now officially DONE and on summer break!! Yay!
2. My amazing husband spoiled me with a new iMac for my present.
3. I went out with my family for a delicious Italian dinner. #YUM
4. Best of all, now that I'm really on summer vacation, I can read more books!!! #happybdaygirl

Celebrated my birthday tonight with a joint dinner party shared with my close friend; we are 29! Such a wonderful time with good friends. Feeling lucky 🍀.
