This was a dark tale about a creepy castle and family secrets. This one sucked me in quickly. I loved the different characters and the world building (without giving spoilers) was very interesting.

This was a terrific ending to this wonderful duology. I really enjoyed the quest that Teo, Aurelio and Niya went on. This book was adventurous and packed with action.
Book 131 of 2024. Real Americans by Rachel Khong. I love a family saga that spans generations. This book was excellent. The writing was so beautiful and I was captivated by this story. This was one of those books that really made you think.
I loved being back in this world!!! What a fantastic start to a new series about this amazing world and old and new characters. Loved this so much.
I was provided an advanced copy of this book which has not affected my review.
Finally reading this! I have heard so many good things about this book!
Well hello there Litsy! I have missed you all. I spend most of my time on BookTok now but I have been reading some fabulous books lately. All the chatter about missing photos reminded me to come back and check in on Litsy. Tonight I am indulging in this comfort read from The Naturals series. I Hope everyone is doing well!
This was a stunningly beautiful magical realism book. It follows Zahra and Sammie as they maneuver through New York and Georgia. I loved when they made it to Atlanta because I was able to picture all the settings in my head. I loved the concept of the singing moths. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was amazing.
It was a good reading year in 2021. But that‘s about the only good thing about it. Sorry I have been absent on Litsy.
This was a fantastic book. I went into it thinking it was a romance book but it really isn‘t. It‘s more of a book about family issues with a little romance sprinkled in. This was tough to read in parts and found it a little triggering for purity culture stuff. But I really loved Kiran. I wish her friends had been a larger part of the book but I think the next books in the series will be about them!
My plans for this Covid Halloween. I bought this book when it came out to read on Halloween. 🤣🤣 Finally getting to it. 🎃
30 minutes left of #readathon! I slept from 12:30-4:00 because I was busy too tired. I finished this excellent book before I went to sleep. It‘s a must read!
Finished this! So, so good! So glad I finished it before Readathon. No reading tonight. Will start fresh at 8 am tomorrow morning!!!
Anyone else planning on doing the Dewey‘s 24 Hour Readathon this weekend? I can‘t wait!!!! #deweys24hourreadathon
Parts of this book really irritated me. Like don‘t be unrealistic about legal matters and for goodness sakes the timeline! Don‘t try that at home folks. But I did really love Bethany. I think a lot of people could really relate to the way her brain works.
Hello Litsy Friends! I have missed you. 👋🏻 I don‘t know why I have stayed away so long. It‘s been a struggle to make it through the day sometimes but Litsy has always made me feel better so I really should have come here. Anyway I am going to attempt to be here more. Just finished this book last night and it‘s perfection. Loved it!
I have been so terrible about posting and checking on Litsy 😭 I have been reading up a storm during quarantine too. I went back to work on the 27th and we opened to the public on Thursday so my reading time has been severely cut off. But I have read 53 books since March 13th 😁 Maybe I will go back and review them all here or I will just start with current books.
This was a very strange book. It‘s more of a 3.5 read but bumped it up to four because I really enjoyed the writing. Look not a whole lot actually happens in this book so don‘t expect anything action packed. But I found this book really mesmerizing and intriguing. It was creepy and mysterious.
Finished my first book for #stayhome24in48. Not the best book to read during this social isolation but I didn‘t know.
Spending a beautiful Saturday reading. This is the first time I have been able to take a breath this week. It has been a crazy week full of stress and management meetings and levels of emergency. Yesterday felt like a week. But my library is now closed to the public for two weeks. Hoping this helps stop the spread in my county. So thankful for our wonderful city manager and mayor who made the correct call.
I was on board with most of this book. It was exciting and action packed but the ending was way too ridiculous and unsatisfying and I don‘t want to spoil it so that‘s all I will say. Besides that I think Rain‘s husband was a huge jerk even though I don‘t think he was supposed to be.
This was a fun YA book. It wasn‘t anything that stood out but it was entertaining.
Anyone else participating in #boutofbooks? It starts tomorrow! #readathon #nopressure #bookstagram #readingweek
Jacqueline Woodson manages to weave this gorgeous story together with multiple POVs, not even denoting which character it is, and switching timelines, and it 100% works. This is a stunning book. It‘s so well written, captivating, and moving. This may be my best book of the year.
This book is a must read. It‘s full of data, studies, and commentary. It‘s an important book.
So I thought going into this book based on the cover and the synopsis that this would be a fun three star rom com. It wasn‘t. It was a much deeper book about gaslighting, family issues, sexual assault, and men behaving very badly. But this book also made me laugh a lot.
I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Finished my first #thankfullyreading book. I ended up really enjoying this book. It‘s more of a cozy mystery than I usually read but I love reading all about Charleston.
Is anyone else participating in #thankfullyreading over Thanksgiving weekend? It‘s a no stress relaxing readathon Weds-Sun and I love it! This will be my ninth year doing this readathon! https://www.readingsusan.com/myreadingadventure-susan/2019/11/26/thankfully-read...
This was a bit of a rambly book and very short. I didn‘t connect with much of the story. I did find the parts about the teacher strikes and bread lines to be educational. But I am not sure I really understand what this book was even about.

I enjoyed this Cinderella retelling from the perspective of one of the stepsisters. It was inventive and fresh. I hater to put it down.
This book is a must read. It‘s a coming of age tale set in the beginning of the AIDS crisis. It will squeeze and break your heart. It‘s a really beautiful book. It got four stars instead of five because there are no quotation marks. Please for the love of god authors please stop doing that. It‘s pretentious and annoying.

I loved this book! It was so good. I liked the different POVs and each story.
Two hours left! I took a 3 hour nap earlier which will help me through the day! It‘s time for a bath for my aching bones. I have been trying not to sit too long at one time but I still am getting sore. #readathon
Just finished my second #readathon book! Loved this summer romance. It makes me wish it was warm again. #bookstagram #deweysreadathon #deweys24hourreadathon #books #reading #readingweekend #myweekendisallbooked #deweysoct
In hour nine (?) of #readathon. I have finished one book and getting close to finishing that and occasionally switching it up with an audiobook. How is everyone else doing? #deweysreadathon #deweys24hourreadathon #bookstagram #readathon #booksandcats #catsofinstagram #bookaholic #deweysoct
Here is my stack for #readathon! Excited to dive into these. It‘s been such a long week though and I am not sure how long I will be able to stay awake Saturday night. I am tired all the time 😢 I will be happy to get 12 hours in and finish one book.
I am so excited for the #readathon this weekend! I just went to the store for all my snacks. And I bought way too much and way too bad 😳 I should not have gone hungry. I won‘t be able to eat half of this 🤣 Who else is doing Readathon?
I LOVED this book. Alaine is an amazing character. I really enjoyed her personality, her passion, and her determination. The descriptions and the settings were just so amazing and i could see them so clearly in my head. Throw in some mysticism and curses? Yes, please. This was such an excellent read. I also loved finding out from the authors‘ note that it was written by two sisters.
Wow this book was so good! I had a very hard time putting it down. It is described as a suspenseful thriller and while it does have those elements I felt it was more of a character study and a really sad story. It was very well written and you could see the difference in tone from the two different POVs. I do feel like there were still some loose threads at the end but wow this was a wonderful book.
I am off work today so I am enjoying reading and hanging out with my babies! 📚 🐱 🐶 I am so glad I took this day off. I need a recharge day!
This was a delightful historical romance. Very well written for a debut novel. A couple of plot lines did make me roll my eyes because it did not seem feasible that they would have occurred in Victorian England. I expected more humor based on the cover but it leaned more towards the serious side. I will definitely check out the next book as I love reading about these suffragettes. Thanks to the publisher for providing the book for an honest review
This is a must read book. I am only 28% in and this non fiction book reads like a fiction thriller. It‘s shocking.
I loved this Audible audiobook. It‘s so good! Tim Curry read it so beautifully!
I could not put this book down. It felt like such a fresh concept and I loved the characters and world building. I am already looking forward to the next one.
I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This book gutted me. The story, the characters, and the writing. It‘s one of my favorite books I have read this year. But I sobbed in rage while reading the authors note at the end. This cover is also amazing.
I received an advanced copy of this book by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Oh my goodness I loved listening to Anne of Green Gables via audiobook. It was such a new experience. And I have all the books in one audiobook! On to Anne of Avonlea.
This was a fun s d quick read. Loved the real photography on the cover.
