Thank you for the tag, @Sace 😊 #WondrousWednesday @Eggs
1. It depends on the weather/circumstances:
Love to read on the couch, especially when it's cold, grey and rainy outside. In summer at the beach in a beach chair. When travelling in long-distance trains. By myself in quiet cafés or diners... Mandatory: a book that fits my mood.
2. Hmm... I have a few rereads I'd love to get to in November. Maybe A Wild Sheep Chase or Ett fruset liv.
🍂🧡🍂
#SundayFunday @BookmarkTavern
No one new to the scene at all, but I only discovered his work only this year:
Japanese mystery author Akimitsu Takagi (1920 -1995).
I devoured The Noh Mask Murder by him in March this year.

1. Twilight - I read it when I was pregnant with my first, Keira is now 17, it‘s well read!
2. I loved reading Sophie Kinsella at that age
3. I‘m going to be greedy and choose two - Twilight and Harry Potter and the philosophers stone 🧙
A #SundayFunday I actually know an answer to! 😂
Yes, I do. Not as often as I'd like to, as new reads are always tempting and luring, but I try to make time for rereads.
Those are either all time favourites I have reread several times to experience the atmosphere, mood etc. again or past faves I don't remember all too well and am curious to see how the story plays out & if they live up to the fond memories.
@BookmarkTavern
Wanna play?
1. Spending time with my hubby and with my boo, going to the cinema and have a time as quiet & chill & lovely as possible (which has to be enough as I've been in a deep depression phase for - what now? years?)
2. Murder on the Christmas Express by Alexandra Benedict
3. Andrea und das Schlossgespenst (Andrea and the ghost of the castle) by Klaus Wolff, which was a childhood book from my mother, published in 1966. (Not translated into English).
Thanks for the tag @dabbe this was such a fun one to think about!
1. A People‘s History of Heaven by Mathangi Subramanian
2. The Insiders by Mark Oshiro
3. The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo

More to come!
#wonderouswednesday @Eggs fun one ! 1. It‘s either late 90s pop - think Britney, 5ive etc or the fairly niche Gloria by Laura Brannigan (also my move quickly to try tube station song!) 2. Honestly anywhere with a temperate to warm climate near the coast I am not fussy I just want sunshine for several months a year and the sound of the sea 3. Disconnecting, baths, getting to swim a few times a week, meaningful time with my husband, dog walks
Joining #JoyousJanuary #Readathon hosted by fabulous @Andrew65
I'll take this as a #20in4 again - I'm aiming for 20 hours of reading during those nine days, which would be a really fabulous for me 🥳
#2024 #January #winterreading
Points in the second half of #WinterGames 115,630 points, giving a total tally of 180,250 points
Most of these points came from the word searches, where read virtually all Winter / Christmas themed books, and read 38 books over the games.

Thanks for being a great Team Leader @peanutnine 👏👏👏🙌🎊
From the producers of John Wick so DON‘T watch this with kids around but we absolutely loved it. It‘s a weird combination of hilarity and holding true to the childhood dream of Santa. The hubs even rated it over an 8/10. #wintergames #gingerbreadgems
Glad to see in not the only ones forgetting things…I totally forgot to snap a photo of my #jolabokaflod package before shipping it. @MaleficentBookDragon @meshell1313
Joining!😊
I'm on sick leave (mental health issues) till (including) Monday.
So maybe there's at least the positive side effect that I have a bit more time for reading. Let's see.
Keeping it easy peasy, as usual. I'd like to read as much as possible, as much as I enjoy.

QOTD: Are you an advent calendar lover?
AOTD: I am. Cj bought me one a few years ago and I loved it.
We‘re starting Christmas a little early this year. I normally do a bookish Christmas gift guide later in December but I wanted to share a few advent calendars that caught my attention.
I have this particular advent calendar listed over on my Pangobooks Shop. I‘m Wildwood Reads over there
Fall!🧡 not my picture, but definitely one of my favorite “feels”!! #scarathlon #hhc
We went to the Georgia Apple Festival this weekend and I came home with this beautiful book art by A New Chapter Art I can‘t wait to display this on my shelf.
Oh and head over to Wildwood Reads for a full recap of our exciting day. https://wildwoodreads.com/2023/10/23/2023-georgia-apple-festival/
Finally mailed and arriving Wednesday!!! Waiting on a release and myself 🤣#allhallowsreadswap 🧡🎃🖤🧙🏼♀️
I‘m doing something a little different on the blog today. I tried a fun upcycled Halloween craft idea that‘s been all over the internet.
Basically, you take an old picture and transform it into a Halloween themed masterpiece.
This was such a fun way to add a unique piece to my Halloween collection.

🍁 my ideal day is spent at the beach (Cape Cod) with my 3 sisters, and a picnic of tunafish salad sandwiches, Cape Cod potato chips, and lemonade.
🍁 procrastinating, paying bills!
🍁 holding onto physical things I really don‘t need
Next #20in4 - I'm joining! @Andrew65
As usual, the goal is not 20 hours, the goal ist to read as much as possible and enjoy the reading time.
For the first two days (tomorrow and Saturday), I've got an extremely tight schedule and very likely not that much time for reading. Well, but then Sunday is free and my holiday starts on Monday, so those two days look promising! 😊
#readathons #September
@Clwojick Here are my tropes for September to December - 5 for each month. I'm going to use a random number generator at the start of each month to find out which tropes I'll be focusing on for the month.
Genres featured: Alternate history, horror, mystery, romance, science fiction and time travel.
#tastetesttropes
Any recommendations for books featuring these gratefully received (especially for the horror ones!)
Well it's a very special day today!! The Birthday Fairies are super excited today!! We're sending love and wishes to @Cinfhen , @Mrs_B and @Curiouser_and_curiouser and hope your day is extra fun! We hope all your birthday wishes come true!

#14Books14Weeks2023
It‘s back! Pictured are 14 (15 really so I have a tiny bit of wiggle room) books that I pledge to read between Memorial Day (May 29) and Labor Day (September 4). 😬 These are mostly books I‘ve gotten for free or for $1 at the library and they‘re starting to seriously pile up! This is my opportunity to seriously take them in hand.
This is another maxim I try to remember when times get tough or I get stressed.
#DailyChallenge #MarchMadness
One of my favourite phrases, but there are times (like last weekend) when I need to remind myself of it.
