I enjoyed this mystery about two missing children years apart from the same camp. Lots of interesting characters and the setting was perfect and atmospheric! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

#2025ReadingBracket Thank you @CSeydel for the amazing template! I had so many 5 star reads this month:
Four Ruined Realms
Mistborn
Dreams Lie Beneath
But of course my favorite of the month had to go to Onyx Storm (with Mistborn taking one of my wildcard spots already!) Onyx just gave me all the feels and I‘m upset we have to wait another year to see what happens next.
Happy reading everyone! I‘m finally about to dive into my most anticipated book of the year! I‘m loving the goodies from the midnight release party but everyone is talking about the target special edition! Anyone able to find it? I might have to get that one also! May this be our only problems for awhile! 😂🐉🖤
#serieslove2025 Ooooh man did I love this new one! Such a great series and this second book did not disappoint! Will easily be one of my favs of the year! All of our heroes are still working together (even though they all feel betrayed) to overthrow the rulers and prevent magical relics from getting into the wrong hands. Lots of twists and turns and battles and quite the ending. Can‘t wait for the next one! I loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘ve been wanting to start reading Sanderson for quite some time now so I‘m excited to be a part of #CosmereBuddyRead with @JacqMac ! I‘m excited for our discussion this week as I still have many questions but I just couldn‘t put it down and finished it today. I love the unique magic system based on different metals and I‘m obsessed with our main character Vin. I cannot wait to see how this storyline picks up in book 2! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Another great Rebecca Ross book! I love her magic systems- they are always unique. In this one wardens record nightmares and have to fight them every month until a curse is broken. Lots of magical secrets and disguises with a satisfying ending. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My first audiobook ever! I started walking on my treadmill and figured audiobooks are the perfect way to walk for an hour without getting bored. It takes some getting used to but the hours flew by! I figured I would start with a short novella to see if audiobooks are for me. This story was both beautiful and sad. An Irish Catholic family in 1985 and a convent with secrets. Can‘t wait to finally watch the film now that I‘ve listened to it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#serieslove2025 This new book takes place 3 years after These Hallow Vows so if you liked that series this is a must read. This one follows Jas as she tries to get revenge for what happened to her in Mordeus‘ dungeon. Lots of interesting twists and shapeshifting which always makes things more complicated. Left on quite the cliffhanger so can‘t wait for the next in the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#serieslove2025 ! This book is the ending of the heromaker duology but these stories are taking place in the same world as the Queens of Fennbirn series so everything is connected! The ending implies she is going to write even more stories about this world. In this one Reed and Lyonene must try to save their heroes while a strange new bone magic is corrupting their enemies. Lots of unexpected plot twists I did not see coming. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Think I have a type? 🤣 My fav of Dec was for sure Bristol Keats. My top 8 were all fantastic and any could have been my #1, but I‘m choosing the one I had the most emotional reaction to and stayed up all night reading. It might not be the best written one, but it was my favorite of the year. Can‘t wait to see what great reads we have in 2025! #readingbracket2024
Perfect way to end the year! I‘m a huge fan of this author and this is her first “adult” fantasy. I love Pearson‘s world building. It‘s a story we‘ve all heard before- a mortal in the world of Fae, but somehow this felt fresh and different. Tons of secrets and betrayals, a looming war, and fierce sisterhoods. Cannot wait for book 2! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Happy Holidays everyone! Can‘t wait to see everyone post their #bookishgifts! This year my hubby got me this Dragonflight first edition! Apparently it‘s one of the first “Romantasy” books published! Has anyone ever read it?
Thank you soooo much @Avanders for the perfect #Jolabokaflodswap package! The chocolates are amazing and I cannot wait to dive into this book! I‘ve been dying to read this one! Hope you have a very Happy Holiday! 🎄🥰❤️💚 #jolabokaflodswap24
@Avanders You spoiled me! My #stuffedstockingswap is amazing. This book is right up my alley- I can‘t wait to read it and dive into the popcorn and candy. The coffee is brewing as we speak and I‘m in love with the holiday book/kindle cover! Too cute! I can‘t thank you enough! Happy holidays and thank you for hosting such a fun swap! 🎄🧦❤️💚
Glad I read my #TBRtarot pick right after the Grave Mercy Series so it‘s fresh in my mind. This one follows Sybella in the French Court where she‘s trying to find more of the female nun assassins assigned there in secret so we do get to meet some new characters. We get to meet Genevieve and see her POV and hope Sybella finds her in time. Of course we still get some real history woven in! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
For my next #readyourkindle book I got to see what all the hype is about. I rarely read straight romance novels- I usually like my romance in worlds with magic and dragons. 😂🤷🏼♀️This one was a guy bent on vengeance and a girl with lots of trauma becomes collateral damage. Some spice 🌶️ and I think the rest of the series follows some of the other characters we meet in this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
I loved this conclusion to the trilogy and my next #readyourkindle pick. I think I loved Annith‘s story the best. I‘m #teamBalthazar for sure. The historical aspects and war really add to the plot and I love the mix of Christianity and pagan gods that existed during the Middle Ages. The author weaves in real historical figures and the mentality of the time while attempting to portray these strong women and fierce sisterhoods. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just mailed out my #Jolabokaflodswap2024!!!! 🎄❤️💚🍫
My #jolabokaflodswap2024 package arrived! How funny @Avanders - you got me again! 🤣 What are the odds!?! I was so confused at first! Can‘t wait for Christmas Eve to open up this bad boy! Thank you again!
I‘m running through this series and my #readyoyrkindle picks this month thanks to my delayed flight back home! Book 2 follows Sybella another medieval nun assassin and just like in the first book there is this theme of if vengeance vs. love. I loved her story with Beast and I know book 3 follows our last “sister” from the convent. I love that (some) of the plot is historically accurate- it just adds a whole other layer to it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My #StuffedStockingSwap package has arrived! Sooo excited and surprised @Avanders ! Can‘t wait to open- thank you in advance! Let the waiting begin! ❤️💚🎄
My #2024readingbracket is filling up fast! My fav this month was for sure When the Moon Hatched with Songbird and the Heart Stone filling in my last bonus spot! Can‘t wait to decide my top favorite of the year!
I stocked my kindle for my long flight to visit my mom in AZ so this was one of my #readyourkindle picks. I already loved this series and was curious how much I would like Mische‘s storyline but wow it did not disappoint! After spending a lifetime serving the sun god, she has some life altering decisions to make and to figure out where her alliances in this war lie. I loved the ending and was surprised that there will be a book 4! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I enjoyed this month‘s #whimsicalreads book club pick. Lots of Norse mythology and our FMC Freya is born with a drop of a God‘s blood so everyone is trying to use her to achieve their own ambitions. I enjoyed the love story but quite a cliffhanger ending so I‘ll def have to read book 2. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I enjoyed my #TBRtarot pick this month. It was a slow burn and of course ended on a cliffhanger so now we must wait for the next book. This had lots of mythology, a strong FMC and an impending war between heaven and hell. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My #StuffedStockingSwap is on its way to my secret recipient!!!! 🤫Thank you for hosting @Avanders I had a blast shopping for this one! 🧦🎄🤶🏻⭐️📚🎁🎉❤️ #SSS
Here‘s my #SeasonalSpiritShare @dabbe ! This season I‘m focusing on things that bring me joy- hallmark Christmas movies, all the seasonal coffee drinks, and of course it wouldn‘t be the holidays without Mariah Carey 😂🎄
I loved this epic fantasy chunkster. Our tough female assassin is so bent on revenge she has no interest in recovering the past. She does not see that love could be better than vengeance. The world building was great and reminded me of Priory of the Orange Tree- so if you loved that one you should def read this! I can‘t wait for book 2 next year! #serieslove2024 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Thank you so much for the fun giveaway! I love them all! Appreciate it so much!
Finishing up this #readyourkindle pick and I might describe it as Medieval Nun Assassins? I loved the history and mythology in this world and our FMC Ismene is questioning all she‘s been taught and falling in love. Lots of real historical figures mixed in the story which makes the betrayals all the more horrible! Will definitely read the next in the series. #serieslove2024 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
#readingbracket2024 I read so many five star books this month but my favorite of October was definitely the new Sabaa Tahir book. It‘s a top read of the year for sure. Only a few spots left!
This new novella was beautifully illustrated and I loved the design and layout. I would get it just for its beauty. But the story itself was a little lacking. Not much happened and there was nothing really added to the original story lines. It was just meh. ⭐️⭐️
Enjoyed my #TBRtarot pick this month- perfect time to read this novella! A cute (horror?) story about a group of people who become friends after meeting up all the time for cigarette breaks in an abandoned cemetery and then one night a new hole appears. They go about solving the mystery. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
I absolutely loved the new Tahir book! She never disappoints me. The world building is fantastic. Lots of interesting and amazing characters all coming together to fight the same evil for various reasons. Found families, a great love story and a great cliffhanger ending- what more could you want? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#serieslove2024 I loved this first book in a new series by the Bone Shard Daughter author. Her world building is unmatched and so innovative. In this new series two sisters are separated due to this mystical earth restoration and we see both of their lives for the ten years that follow. Lots of unique magic and it left off on a nice shocking surprise so of course I‘m going to read the rest when they come out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my next #readyourkindle pick this month. It took a minute to get into it but then I was hooked. Elves find themselves trapped as prisoners of the Fae and there are great love stories but also sisterly love. Many secrets are revealed regarding the ongoing wars, births, and heritage and I love the magic in this world. I will definitely be reading the next 2 in the series! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My first #readyourkindle pick this month was not what I expected- I thought it was going to be more of a fantasy but it seemed more of a mystery. No real supernatural elements. The best part was the setting of the Cloisters. I did not like our FMCs either. This one definitely fell a little short. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
#serieslove2024 The second book in the Middlemist Triology was not as good as the first. It dragged on a bit. I still loved the fierce lady friendships and love story but clearly Legrand is building up to what will be an epic third book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
I‘m obsessed with my #FallingForFallSwap package! Thank you soo much @catiewithac ! I can‘t wait to make some coffee and dive into these awesome books! Look at those gorgeous pens and highlighters!I absolutely love it all! #FFFS 😍🍂🍁🍃
Here‘s my September fav! My #2024readingbracket is filling up fast! Can‘t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!
#serieslove2024 Although not as good as the first, I still enjoyed this one. I loved the “will they” or “won‘t they” love story that continues in book 2 and revisiting the characters. It was the plot that didn‘t unfold as naturally as the first I think. Clearly, with this cliffhanger there will be a third so excited for that one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our #whismicalreadsbookclub book this month definitely had the most “whismy!” I loved this story of a librarian who finds her way back home as she tries to restart her life. Tons of magical creatures and this story was def as sweet as the jam Keila makes. A feel good read that I can‘t wait to discuss! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yay! It‘s here! Excited and early thank you! #FallingForFallSwap Now the waiting begins! @catiewithac !! 🍁🍂🤎
I enjoyed my #TBRtarot pick this month! 4 siblings host an annual end of summer party each with their own motivations and secrets. I liked each of the siblings and enjoyed the two parts- One of which takes place in 1983! The ending felt a little anticlimactic but still a good read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
#wondrouswednesday Ooh fun! Thanks for the tag @Eggs !
🍁Tagged was def one of my Aug faves!
🍁🍁Paper all the way!
🍁🍁🍁 I‘m a fantasy, romantasy, dystopian kind of gal.
I‘ll tag: @KateReadsYA , @Mitch , @forestandcrow
Finally finished this #readyourkindle pick! Book 4 in the series and it was just as good as the 1st! It focuses on Paige & Warden in Paris. Paige is still trying to destroy Scion while forming new alliances in France and there was a twist I did not see coming at all. I finished just in time as book 5 comes out soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just a little sneak peak! Mailed out my #FallingForFallSwap package today! Hope my recipient loves everything! Thanks again for hosting! So fun! 🍂🍁🍃 #FFFS
Ooh boy did I love this one! We get multiple POVs and each character‘s storyline was better than the next. A band of misfits coming together to overthrow a King and change their lives. We learn each person‘s motivations and back stories. The ending did fall short for me (it felt like a cop out) as the author is obviously writing a sequel but it was still extremely well written and enjoyable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Here‘s my #whimsicalreadsbookclub #cozycollage! It‘s making me ready for everything fall- apples, knitting, fire pits, pies! Love it! 🍂🍁🍎🧡🧶
