I‘m ringing in the new year on the couch watching movies with hubby whilst drinking champagne! 🥂
It‘s not exciting but it works for me! 😂

However, I do know I‘m taking a book. 🤣 Happy New Year, Littens! 🥂🎉🥳
Gorgeous gorgeous girls pull the pin on ailing nye plans and order a pizza for pickup instead… and then lock themselves out on a 35°C (95°F) day ?
I was going to drive to collect my pizza but I‘ve walked instead… and my grandpa has since come to my rescue and I‘m home, recovering in front of a fan…
😂😱🥳🤪🤣
This will be me, on NYE, with my comfy blanket, candle, books & Champs! And I am NOT sad about it! #HolidayLaughs #NYELooks #DressingUpfortheCouch

Okay, that‘s it! My #WinterGames2020 #MerryReaders Week 5 count is 711 making my grand total 8,715! I hope my contribution helps our team! Until next year...Happy New Year! I hope we all have lots of great reading adventures in 2021!
Perfect New Year‘s Eve at home with @WanderingBookaneer and our 5 cats. #DavidCat is keeping me company as I watch British Bake Off. (Our #CatsofLitsy hate the fireworks!)
Stay safe tonight my lovely Litsy friends - be careful of paper-cuts.

Happy New Year‘s Eve, Litsy fam!! 2020 was a rough one, but I hope it was filled with books that helped you through it. Here‘s to our 2021 TBR lists — may they be bigger & brighter than ever ♥️
2020 Reading Stats:
• 111 books read (!!!)
• 32 books by/about POC
• 23 books by/about LGBTQIA+ people
• 90 books by women
• 01 non-fiction book (I did it!!!!!)
1. I wasn‘t feeling well, so I had a very low key evening and went to bed early. I‘m much better now.
2. I plan to read seven books in January, give or take.
3. My word for 2020 is RETIREMENT 😎
Thanks @MoonWitch94 for the tag! I‘m tagging some more folks to share in the fun!
#thoughtfulthursday
Not the tagged book. This is a good and diverse set of stories set on New Year‘s Eve. It starts out really well but ends not so much. But that‘s because no. 5 is in the horror genre, the 6th is a zombie story, neither of which I care for. Still definitely worth reading if you need some new year‘s stories under your belt, say for #wintergames! #tmskellington @crimson613 @clwojick @StayCurious #24b42020 @TheReadingMermaid @Andrew65 @jb72
Someone was really disappointed when she realized she didn't make it 😂. Our other dog put herself to bed at 10pm and never came back out. Hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve!! I spent mine watching movies and playing games with my favorite guy.
Happy New Year to you all!!
#BookNDinner, #NewYearsEve Edition! #ReadintheNewYear

NYE in Sask: super sunny, super cold. I‘m going to be heading out in a little while to pick up a #library hold, then snuggling in for another day of #12hppofxmas reading and some housecleaning prior to my sister‘s impending visit.
Happy New Year everyone!
Me included 🎉🎊📚📖
It's already today actually, but I forgot to post yesterday. I wish you all a happy New Year! May your year be full of joy and good reading!
Running into 2018 with over 18,000 in litfluence!
Cheers to all of you!! Have a great 2018!!
2017 has been a tumultuous year both personally and politically. I can't say I'm sad to see it go. But I am grateful for such a rich year of reading when I read more than I ever have. And I'm grateful for all this community for providing friendship and conversation while adjusting to a new city. Changes are afoot so I expect I'll be reading less in the new year. But I still plan to hang around here.
Cheers Littens! Here's to a great 2018 💕🥂🎉😘
We‘re holed up in my brother-in-law‘s place in CT...no way we were going out in NYC for New Year‘s Eve! We‘re cozy and warm and enjoying quality time with the niece and nephew for the next 3 days!!
Happy New Year‘s!! 🎉 🍾🥂
Happy New Year from Cuba!
Happy New Year, Littens! Thanks for making Listy my internet ‘happy place‘! Your kindness towards one another and your enthusiasm for books and reading has been a joy to witness. Wishing you all good health, happiness, and ALL the books in 2018! 💕📚📖🎉🥂🍾🎆🎇
I know not a lot compared to some... but it's been years since I made 50 just for fun books!
Here is my year in reading but I'm going to wish all my litsy friends happy new year for 2018- I'm not a huge social media user but the litsy community has been a highlight of my year- there is so much positivity in the world of readers that it brings a smile to my face- happy reading litsy friends.
Now that I‘ve finished the #ReadHarder2017 challenge, I can post #MyYearInBooks. 2017 wasn‘t an awesome year overall, but it was a fabulous year for books 📚 💕
I‘m having a very wild New Year‘s Eve - summarizing 2017‘s reading 🤘🏽😆
I tend to just follow my reading feelings and I haven‘t made a conscious effort to read diversely. I don‘t do resolutions, but in 2018 I do want to try to do better when it comes to reading more diverse authors. I‘m also on a mission to read more African authors, especially South African. Let‘s do this 2018 👊🏽
I doubt I‘ll finish my current read before midnight, so here‘s my total for 2017 and I am floored! I read 145 last year with a goal of 160 and cannot believe I read more than 50 books more than in 2016. My 2018 goal will be 200. How was your reading year?
Happy New Year, Littens! ❤
Happy New Year‘s Eve Litsy family!
Hoping to finish one more today but proud of my year! https://www.goodreads.com/user/year_in_books/2017#

2. My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry by Fredrik Backman
3. The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace by Jeff Hobbs
4. Fredrik Backman
#LitsyQuestions @GypsyKat
1. The Power of Moments by Chip and Dan Heath. Highly recommend if you are looking for a non-fiction read.
2. A Gentleman In Moscow by Amor Towles. This has been on my TBR for too long.
3. Just a toast and a smooch with the hubs. Staying at home and relaxing. I might even celebrate early because sleep.
4. Happy New Year to all!!! May 2018 be filled with joy, peace, productivity, and awesome reads!
#auldlangsnye
As the year is coming to a close, I wanted to wish all you wonderful Littens the best for 2018! ❤️
1. One Day We‘ll All Be Dead And None Of This Will Matter (#ODWABDANOTWM). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2. A Gentleman in Moscow (& #LMPBC Book 3 🤗)
3. Keeping it real...quiet at home. Mini bottle of champagne 🍾 to toast the new year. 🥂
4. I‘m terrible at finding (remembering) who is new, but #HNY to any and all, old friends and new. This is a remarkable community. 🤗🤗
#auldlangsyne @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
#AuldLangSyne
1. Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks - 2/3 down, 1/3 to go!

Happy New Year‘s Eve Littens! 🥂🎉 We are looking forward to 2018! 🤗 It‘s going to be a great year for #LitsyBuddyRead. 📚 Check out our previous posts containing our first quarter book lineup and our reading schedule for Lillian Boxfish. #LitsyBuddyRead
1. Dark Money by Jane Meyer. It was frightening to read about how big money is disrupting American democracy.
2. Always a tough call, but I have to give it to Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders. A definite re-read.
3. Blood at the Root by Patrick Phillips. A compelling and haunting read about small town hatred, racism, and rage.
4. Patrick Rothfuss. Thank you to @LA_Mead @MinDea @TricksyTails and #epicbuddyread
@GypsyKat #litsyquestions
Dear Litsy friends,
I'm thinking about doing a readathon from 12/31 to 1/1, maybe call it the Introvert New Year's Party. Has anyone started something like this already, or would anyone be interested in joining along? I love doing readathons with my buds online, way more than I enjoy having to socialize at parties.
Just a ponder for a Friday!
Happy New Year from Mississippi! Here's to a year full of friendships and good books 📚 ☕️🍷
In Pennsylvania, one of our traditions is the New Year's Pretzel. I think it's originally German. Living here in Texas now, we don't have access to them so I bake my own. Anyone else have any neat NYE traditions?
Sounds like the perfect New Years Eve to me. Who's with me?
