Reading for the #24B4Monday I‘m 9 hours in!
2019 has been such a year of upheaval for me! But I must be settling in.... my library is all set up in a my new home!
So I have had a hard reading year but thankfully I set my goals low! Goodreads challenge complete!!
Still working on moving and getting our place together so ALL of my books are just chilling in the middle of my room! I can‘t wait until I get all these put away and my nights just consist of reading 😉
I‘m not quite sure how I feel about this book. I don‘t love coming of age stories or stories about drugs, and I found the language overly descriptive and out of character for a twelve year old boy, but overall the effect was captivating! I loved this journey and felt compelled the whole way through! I highly recommend!
So most fantasy and all sci-fi is #outofmycomfortzone #selfimprovementsept but this has been in on my #tbr for years! Has anyone read this series?
I would love too @emmaturi thanks so much for the tag! I can‘t wait to read Daisy Jones and the Six!! This is my favorite cover ever!! #7days7covers #covercrush
My airport book haul! This book looks fascinating! I hope I can get a chunk done on my short flight!!
This is the last book that made me #laugh! #selfimprovement
I have heard mixed reviews of this but on the the other hand...... I love the cover..... so I just had to pick it up today for my reward for getting through a hard day at work! #somethingnew #selfimprovementsept
The #flowers on this cover are beautiful! The inside however is a little dense 😉 not quite as inviting as the outside! #selfimprovementsept
My #hobby is definitely cooking! Just give me some ingredients and a good audiobook and I love to get lost making something new!! #selfimprovementsept
My September reading goals are to finish these two giant books! I‘ve been reading them all year and I need to finish them because they are taking up a lot of my mental energy! #readinggoals #selfimprovementsept
Thank you so much everyone for all the Birthday wishes! #LitsyLove @julesG @Robothugs @robinb @Jas16 @Cinfhen @BookwormAHN @Kalalalatja @rohit-sawant @TrishB @Jerdencon @Librarybelle @JessClark78 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Dragon
My April wrap up! Only three to go along with my reading slump of a year! But in the plus side I loved these!
I got another chapter read tonight. This has been taking me forever! I‘ve been reading it for 5 months! I may never finish..... #currentlyreading
I‘ve been reading this book for a few weeks, it good but it‘s been really slow for me! I hope to finish it this weekend!
The Fifth Season was one of my favorite books of 2018 and I am really enjoying diving into this #uniqueread! #ANewChapter
This is my 2018 in review! I love looking at this wrap up! And it always gets me excited to make my #2019readinggoals which are:
-Read 65 books
-Read at least 10% toward my lifetime goal of reading a book from every country
-Read at least 4 presidential biographies
-Join at least 3 Litsy readalongs/bookclub reads
#anewchapter
This is a little late but these are my favorite books of 2018!
10. The Sleeping Beauty Killer by Mary Higgins Clark
9. The Fifth Season by N K Jemisin
8. She Would be King by Wayetu Moore
7. Japanese Destroyer Captain by Tameichi Hara
6. I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh
5. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
4. A Mother‘s Reckoning by Sue Klebold
3. Being Mortal by Atul Gawande
2. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
And the Book of M as #1! 🍾🎊🎉
So my classic sign of a reading slump is that I start numerous books, but can‘t finish any, and I dive into book reviews, blogs, videos without actually reading! This almost never happens in the new year but the signs are undeniable!! Do you all have any recommendations??? How do I stop this before it turns into a full on reading slump???
I read The Great Gatsby for the first time last year and I was surprised that I absolutely loved it! I recommend the audiobook read by Jake Gyllenhaal! Now I‘m watched the movie to celebrate the new year!!
I finished this book and my fiancé and I just watched to movie ??I did not think I was going to like either, but it turns out I loved both! Now I need to read the sequel!
Thank you @AmyG I love everything! The books look so good! I was excited to see the Horowitz it has been on my TBR forever! I loved the amazing Christmas goodies and treats! I love the Little Women ornament! It was so sweet of you to get something so meaningful! It‘s already on my🎄Finally Thank you for the adorable 🍒 sip! I can‘t wait to use it tomorrow! Thank you So much! And Thank you @Avanders for putting this together! It was so much fun!
What do you do when you are overwhelmed by homework??? Read anything except for the 6 hours of dry articles you are suppose to read 😑
I absolutely loved this book! It really made me think about what it really means to be human
I don‘t know if I can finish on time but I‘m going to try! I got this today (as a reward for a hard weekend of work!) and I‘m joining the #readingenvyreadalong
So I just watched the movie for the first time and this might be a controversial decision but I liked the movie more than the book! I felt like it was more about all the characters rather than just Wade!
I know I‘ve been away from Litsy for a while but I had a big life event and I really wanted to share it with all my friends on here! I got engaged on the top of Mt. Fuji at sunrise! About the little women: at one point early in our relationship I told him that instead of giving me a ring he could give me a first print first edition of little women 😂 So as a part of the engagement he gave me a new little women with an engagement ring bookmark!!
I am in such a reading slump...... Arg....
1) I‘m reading about 10, but I tagged my favorite!!
2) I traveled to visit my boyfriend‘s family for the weekend, but I just traveled back home today
3) oh so many, but I am going to choose pickles... does that count??
#manicmomday @JoScho
Confession: I love the bachelor/bachelorette tv show! I know it problematic but I‘ve been watching it for almost the beginning since I was really young and I just can‘t get enough! But I‘m reading during the commercial breaks!!
Post family gathering, post clean up, I‘ve snuck away to try to read with the last minutes of daylight!
