#LMPBC I mailed this book today. Sorry it‘s so late. I actually didn‘t finish reading it. It wasn‘t working for me right now and the reviews did not inspire me to continue. @suvata @Readergrrl @BeckyWithTheGoodBooks @Endowarrior21

I dove into this first from my bday/Christmas haul. It is different than I thought it would be but not so much so that I am not enjoying it. I do think I would get more out of it if I was, say, a middle aged actor living in London in the 1990‘s but it is interesting to hear his thoughts about well, everything. And when I do get a reference, it is especially enjoyable. I imagine that will happen more often the closer I get to current times. ➡️
Just finished this #LMPBC pick! It was very good! A little spicier than I‘m used to. A little more YA than I‘m used to (besides the spicy bits) but very good in the adventuring, world building, and plotting departments. And the dragons! Also, that surprise at the end. I did not see that coming. I‘ve got the second one on my wish list! @Readergrrl @BeckyWithTheGoodBooks @Endowarrior21 @suvata
Catch-up post the last: 🎧 This was my first Christie without Poirot or Marple. Honestly, it dragged quite a bit from middle to end. I think perhaps, it was because I was listening to it. I‘m listening to another now with the same problem. Could just be me.
Catch-up post #6: This was another delightful novella in the same world as Half a Soul. It gives more background on one of the main characters. I had to sign up for the author‘s newsletter to get a copy. Well worth the time.
Catch-up post #4: this novella is not in the database. It was included as an afterword with Half a Soul and gives some background for two of the main characters. I was happy to read it as I wasn‘t ready to leave this world.
Catch-up post #3: This was my #LMPBC pick for this round. Now, likely on its way to its third reader. I really enjoyed it! So much so that I have read two novellas in the same series and am excited I got the other two books for Christmas. @Readergrrl @BeckyWithTheGoodBooks @Endowarrior21 @suvata
Catch-up post #2: 🎧 This was a good listen. There are some shocking moments (his Dad resuscitated a bird!) and maybe a little more crass-ness than I expected but it was very good. Read by the author. I usually listen at a higher rate but his delivery was so spot on, I listened at regular speed.
I am woefully behind on reviews so I am catching up! This was another great installment in the #DresdenFiles #Series! Some long-awaited character development happened, which I appreciated. Definitely reading the next one!
Here are some options for #LMPBC #GroupF. Let me know what y‘all think! @Readergrrl @BeckyWithTheGoodBooks @Endowarrior21
🎧 This was a good listen. I kind of wish I had a paper copy to go back and spend more time with some sections. He makes great points about how this fast paced world sets some of us up to be frazzled or worse. He doesn‘t shy away from his mental health issues and presents them in a way that helps others understand what happens to those with mental illnesses.
This was good. I was so glad it turned out the way it did. I will get this in the mail this week @megnews I‘m behind on life after surgery last week. #LMPBC @TheBookHippie @Bookwormjillk
This was a good quick read. I enjoyed the story and the world building. I was distracted the whole time by the use of ‘they/them‘ as a pronoun though. I appreciate the author‘s intent but it was confusing at times and took me out of the story frequently.
🎧 This was really good. Epic story in two timelines. Paris during WWII / Nazi occupation and Montana during the 1980‘s. There‘s some bookish fun and a library but there‘s so much more to this story. It does not shy away from talking about the realities of war so be aware, if you‘re sensitive to that.
I finished this a little while ago. It was a good read but tough in places. I skimmed some of those. Overall a good adventure around the world focused on finding the perfect meal. Getting this in the mail today. #LMPBC @Bookwormjillk @megnews @TheBookHippie @suvata
Finished this one today. #14 in the #DresdenFiles #Series What a wild ride! I really enjoyed it!
🎧 This was a good listen and while it came with a pdf of the personal assessments, I think I would have liked to have a paper copy of the book itself to have time to reflect on some of the passages.
I read most of this today snuggled on the couch recovering from Covid. I enjoyed following Matthew on his adventures in storm chasing, etc. It was part travel memoir, part coming of age story. Recommended if typos don‘t grate your nerves. #LMPBC @Bookwormjillk @megnews @TheBookHippie @suvata
I finished this one today. #13 in the #DresdenFiles. It was kind of an emotional read for me. I worried that one of my fave #series would never be the same. And, it probably won‘t, but not in the way I was dreading. So, all is well enough at the end for me to want to keep reading, thank goodness. I ordered the next one in the series yesterday and will probably start it after this month‘s #LMPBC pick.
🎧 Maybe I would have enjoyed this more if I had read the other books in the #series, as this is a prequel. As it was, I listened at a faster pace than I normally do to get through it. I figured out the bad guy way before the MC. Underwhelming. 🤷♀️
I enjoyed reading about Julia and Paul‘s time in France, etc. It made me hungry for travel and for all the yummy food she describes. I‘m planning to get this in the mail this week. #LMPBC @suvata @megnews @Bookwormjillk @TheBookHippie
🎧 My face most of the time while listening to this: 😳🥴😦 bc I don‘t usually do horror. I‘m sure the other commuters enjoyed or were confused by it. Lol I almost dnf‘d this near the beginning but I‘m glad I came back to it. It was epic and well written, though I am glad it‘s over too. I‘m still processing that ending.
#LMPBC travel memoirs. Thoughts? Preferences? I don‘t own any of these books. I realized the only unread travel memoir I have is My Life in France by Julia Child which I assume most everyone has read. So these are just choices from the interwebs. Let me know if nothing suits your fancy and I‘ll dig further.

I just signed up for #LMPBC #Round18 #GroupT!
Check out @suvata ‘s page if you‘re interested.
Hi @megnews @TheBookHippie @Bookwormjillk ! I‘m excited to read travel memoirs with y‘all! I‘ll start looking for a few choices soon.
1. Italy because of Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes. Might be time for a reread.
2. Yes but it‘s 12th in a series so it may be a bit of a commitment. Changes by Jim Butcher
3. Probably Ghost Story by Jim Butcher. #13 in the series.
Thanks for the tag @Enchanted_Bibliophile !
#WondrousWednesday @Eggs
Y‘all. I just can‘t even. I will not spoil it for anyone working on this #Series but holy moly. Changes is an apt name for this book. I actually had to read the first few pages of the next book to make myself feel better. #DresdenFiles
I finished this one today sitting outside enjoying the nice weather. I really enjoyed it! It did drag a bit here and there but overall was well written, the characters were well done, and I‘d consider reading the next in the series. I‘ll get this in the mail this week.
#LMPBC #GroupH @robinb @Laughterhp @BookwormAHN @suvata
This ended up being very good but it was slow going in the middle. I‘m glad I persevered even though it took me much longer than it should have. I‘ll be getting this in the mail early next week. My apologies for taking so long! @Laughterhp @robinb @BookwormAHN #LMPBC #GroupH
Another good installment in the #MurderbotDiaries #Series I didn‘t enjoy this one as much as the other two but it was still very good. Perhaps it was because it has been so long since I read the others?
I finished this one today. Another great installment in the #DresdenFiles #Series This one hit me in the feels. It‘s also the last one I have. I‘m officially caught up to where I stopped reading the series years ago. Guess I‘ll have to buy some more books. 🤷🏻♀️
🎧 Such a good listen! Well plotted out, delightfully written, and well researched. There‘s cross dressing, murder, intrigue, and a love story all in the Pride and Prejudice universe. Ms. Mary Bennett is a spy for Queen and Country. Whatever will she get up to next?
TW: domestic violence
1. I wanted to be a writer and a meteorologist.
2. I‘m a lawyer. I do write a lot but only boring things for work. I‘m still working on my first novel so I do get some creativity in from time to time.
3. Usually top 40 from years past or soothing new age/classical bc my job is stressful.
#WondrousWednesday @Eggs Thanks for the tag @Deblovestoread
Tagging my current #LMPBC group, if you haven‘t done this yet: @robinb @Laughterhp @BookwormAHN
🎧 This was so good, I started the next one in the #series immediately. I‘m #AudioCleaning to prepare for Easter with the Moms at my house and this has made it so much better. As with the first book, it‘s well plotted and I didn‘t figure out whodunit before the end. It‘s also so fun to spend time in the world of Pride and Prejudice again. We get to see Elizabeth and Darcy, Kitty and Georgiana in this one too. Very well done!
This was really good. Nicely plotted out. A good mystery and delightfully quirky characters. It is headed your way today @Laughterhp

I got this one off in the mail today. It was good!

I‘m off work today and decided to take myself out for breakfast. They had my favorite multigrain sourdough available today so I bought a loaf for breakfasts for awhile. #Winning Just starting this #chunkster. It‘s a little weird so far but what else should I expect from Anne Rice? Lol
Here are some options for #LMPBC #GroupH. Y‘all let me know what you think! @robinb @Laughterhp @BookwormAHN @suvata
This book kept me reading, though I did skim paragraphs and sometimes pages at a time. The writing style was a bit overly dramatic for my taste but I did want to know what happened so it‘s a so-so.
#LMPBC @sweetpealsd @gencmichael @ConfessionofaBookaholic
I‘m planning to get this and 7 1/2 deaths in the mail early this week.
What did I just read!? It was a slow beginning but totally worth it for the crazy good ending.
#LMPBC @sweetpealsd @ConfessionofaBookaholic @gencmichael
I have a rare afternoon off and it‘s a rare 77° in January so I‘m reading by the local reservoir.
Starting this one tonight for #LMPBC #GroupE!

I finished this one today. Another great installment in the #Dresden #series. I really enjoyed it! Pic of Lucy bc I no longer have the dust jacket for this book and thought she‘d be cuter. #DogsofLitsy #PetsofLitsy

Enjoying some time reading out on the patio during the golden hours of the day. There are at least ten robins and cardinals rifling through the leaves and pine straw in my ‘natural‘ yard.
#LMPBC #GroupE Here are some choices for my book this round! Let me know what you think! Links on the comments. @gencmichael @sweetpealsd @ConfessionofaBookaholic
Would one of you forward me the email with everyone‘s addresses in it, please? I didn‘t receive it. @suvata
This was another difficult read for me lately. It was so so good though! I have to say, I‘m glad her mom died too. Holy moly.
I really enjoyed this book. It was emotional and such a good story. I wanted to know what happened next. I‘m so glad I decided to read it even though it was a little difficult for me. I‘m thinking that since I already have the next read for #LMPBC #Round15 #GroupT, I will read ‘I Am The Messenger‘ asap and get them in the mail together. This is my last week at a job I‘ve had for 14 years so I‘m prob not making it to the PO until next week anyway.
